My two-star rating is not to say that this is not a good poem, as it really is. It is wonderfully written and Jason does a great job describing the plight of the dreamer.

I just didn't resonate with this poem at all. It didn't make me feel anything that his other poems have. I wouldn't seek out to read this poem again.

"Dreams don't have timelines, deadlines, and aren't always in straight lines"

This book came into my hands at exactly the right time. This book is For Every One.

This collection, or letter, is beautifully lyrical and immediate. There is no pretention and this is the kind of book that I will buy multiple copies off to gift to others. It is vital and powerful to remember the importance of dreaming and it is also good for the soul to know that no one has the answer of how to achieve anyone else's dreams.

I loved this collection and will be seeking out more of Reynolds' work.

Sometimes poetry can come across as stuffy and snobby, but there are so many poets out there now representing every type of person from every walk of life; Jason Reynolds's For Every One is one such book that manages to include his personal thoughts and deepest feelings but also allows those to be generalised and understood by the wider population. Small and beautiful in form but larger-than-life and powerful in verse. Reynolds, a multiple award-winning and critically acclaimed poet and writer, understands the power of words, of dreaming and of having purpose in life.

Written in language that is accessible to everyone and about a topic everyone can relate to - dreaming. Both personal and relatable, it holds a powerful, evocative and uplifting message that sometimes only poets know how to convey and will appeal to poetry and non-poetry readers alike. This is a concise collection, my paperback edition has 101 pages in all, but the sparse way it is set out means you can read it in its entirety within about 30 minutes or allows for the reader to dip in and out at will. I also could not have thought of a better title.

Thank you, NetGalley and the publisher for a chance to read this novel.

This book, written in poetry/letter format, is all about dreams and how life will try at every turn to stomp them out but that you should never give up, no matter how big or small that dream might be or how long it takes to get there.

A very quick, positive and uplifting read that I would recommend if you like poetry.

I will definitely be checking out more of this authors works in the future.

This book actually is For Every One! I loved the prose and the uplifting and inspirational messages within the letters/poems. I read it after a long day at work, and it really cheered me up. A very short read but looking forward to reading more of Reynolds' work in the future.

Upbeat and looking to inspire, Reynold's work here is definitely for anyone looking something with a positive message. For Every One has this in spades, and I suspect quite a few people will get a lot out of this collection. The sentiment behind this book is lovely.

This was an ARC in exchange for an honest review. With kind thanks to Netgalley and 404 Ink.

Good message at the center of it, and will look from more of his work in the future, but his one didn’t blow me away like others I have read in this style.

Passionate prose that uplifts, inspired and consoles you whatever your dreams are. The letters written straight to the reader are a call to action, to inspire you to follow your dreams, make goals, see potential and not to be afraid of what your calling is, whether it be creative, sporty, success, wealth, family, you can find a way. This book needs to be in every school, every prison, every community hall, every youth group and library, for people of all ages to be encouraged and motivated to be their best self

For Every One is a short but powerful read that really spoke to me. As I face becoming another year older, I reflect on those dreams that are still not achieved and this is exactly what I needed! Reynolds shares his experiences, and inspires the reader to keep going - to keep chasing the beast, the dream.

This is a beautifully written 'letter', with word choice and imagery so strong that I lost myself in Reynolds' writing. I intend to purchase a copy so that I can keep it and the message is contains close. As Reynolds says, I will "use it for firelight for this long and often dark road".

For Every One is a blast of positivity that is ideal to read and share. It is a letter in poem form to everyone who has ever had a dream, addressing the difficulty of adapting your dream, getting older, and keeping the fire alive. Short and punchy, it reminds everyone to keep going and keep believing in having something you want to do or achieve, and it accepts all dreams.
