Teagan is a strong character and she's brought to life well by the author. Overall a good book and one I enjoyed, but one that I felt frustrated by the ending, I wanted to know more about why and how and what next.

Interesting story about a girl, Teagan, suffering the aftermath of her younger sister's death and the subsequent divorce of her parents. A very sad situation that she is in. Much drama in Teagan's life with her best friend and her crush, although that seems less important that her family situation. Teagan is a great character who is trying to make the best of her situation as she can but the rest of the story seems to be missing much detail. I had a hard time keeping track of the other characters and what was going on. I think if the book was longer, the rest of the story and characters could be explained more in depth. Not a terrible book but not my favorite. Good story about the challenges of grief and how it affects an entire family.

Paper Cut Outs is the story of a girl named Teagan who is full of guilt, conflicted feelings, and trying to escape from her story follows her as she grows apart and closer to various people while trying to figure out who she is after tragedy has touched her life.

This novel does a wonderful job of creating a character with depth and really fleshing her out, while showing her interactions with those around her in ways that help to grow her character. However, for a novel with such a complex character created the rest of the story falls short. There are over a dozen side characters who we can be difficult to keep track of and can tend of blend together.

This book could have benefited from about 100 more pages to bring things to more closure as well as to see the character come to terms with more of her relationships. The ending is too easy and quick and doesn’t give the reader a proper explanation of what has changed for the main character to be able to move forward. Overall, not a bad read but an unsatisfying ending.

This book started off like something I would have really enjoyed, but it just gradually got way worse. I enjoyed the character's but the story had no reason to it and I feel like nothing really happened. Why meet all these new characters if nothing exciting is going to happen?
