A lovely book that was well written. Not my usual author but I did enjoy and I will search more out by the same author. Well done.

This was a nice read for the most part. I didn’t realize the romance would sort of play a secondary role in the story and the pacing felt a little slow and drawn out. But overall it was enjoyable.

This book was just as cute as the cover! I loved how the story played between settling or taking a risk, a theme that I love seeing in romance books!! While this one was cute, it wasn’t anything special or standout. That said, if you’re looking for a fun romance then give this one a try!

The premise of this book was charming an endearing. It was very relatable story about sisterhood and love and what we settle for, or decide not to. I did find the pacing a bit slow going, and a times I just wanted to fast forward the plot a bit.

Probably the Best Kiss in the World was a cute and quick, if predictable read. We follow along with Jen on her journey learning to break from the life that she followed in order to pursue her dream of opening a brewery. I appreciated that romance wasn’t the only focus and also included Jen discovering herself and her family connections. The plot was light and easy easy to follow. As for the romance, the chemistry was realistic and not overdone!

This book was such a fun and cute read! it was thoughtful and enjoyable. The main character is Jen, and while she was relatable, I also sort of was annoyed by her . But all in all there was a lot of growth and self discovery and I always appreciate that !

Unfortunately, I have not been able to read and review this book.

After losing and replacing my broken Kindle and getting a new phone I was unable to download the title again for review as it was no longer available on Netgalley.

I’m really sorry about this and hope that it won’t affect you allowing me to read and review your titles in the future.

Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity.
Natalie.

So overall this was a cute story but holy moly - WHY ARE THERE SO MANY CHARACTERS? I mean, is this is a national census of the whole town? I do not need to know every single resident in the city. Most people do not make the book more interesting, they just make it really hard to follow. I was surprised there was no sex in this book. It's so hard to tell by the cover. You have authors like Tessa Bailey who basically just write straight up porn and then slap a cute wholesome cartoon cover on the book so then when you really do read a book that matches the cover like this one, you're confused on why there isn't a ton of 50 shades like sex in it. This is more of a commentary on the industry as a whole being confusing with tons of authors re-branding their hardcore heat level romance with cutesy covers. But in general in this book I didn't really feel like anything was happening "live" it's like the narrator found out about the story and then just wanted to relay it all back to me in exposity thoughts and descriptions.

Light-hearted and witty. A fun romance that will have you reaching for a cold beer!

💕🍻Romantic and thought-provoking story well told🤗🤗

💏 I can't explain why I kept this book on my to be read list for so long🤔. It really is my kind of story - well-written, romantic, intelligent heroine, foreign travel, good friends and some zanies to round out the crew of characters. Heroine Jen starts out in a blah existence, all planned, regimented and trying to negotiate the needs and desires of the people around her while suppressing her own dreams. I loved her transformation through the course of the story. Jen has an unusual love of brewing that connects her to her dead father: an unusual and fun departure from the usual hobby or vocation. And her Copenhagen adventure - so-o wildly strange yet romantic.😍

The perfect romance for this reader who loves a bit of adversity, self-discovery and close friend bonding mixed in with the heady building of a new love connection. 👍👍

Thanks to publisher One More Chapter and NetGalley for providing a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.

Loved, loved, loved this book!

I read 'lots of books (at least three each week). (During COVID-19 pandemics where I'm supposed to shelter in place, let's make that five to seven each week!) That being said, I don't give my "Loved, loved, loved" rating very often.

The book has to be outstanding. The characters have to draw me into their lives. They need to make me feel like I would like to know them in real life. The story has to be realistic and believable, with just a touch of magic to make me believe that dreams can come true. It has to make me laugh, at least a couple of times throughout the book.

Of course, the story must have romance. Because the real world really doesn't have enough of that.

And, if you really want to win me over, place the story in an exotic international location, because I love to travel but can't do it right now (COVID-19 pandemic strikes again.)

This book checks off all those requirements. The author, Pernille Hughes, drew me into the story of Jen Attison, a woman who makes her living marketing organic incontinence products for a company run by two off-the-wall sisters. (Hughes has a lot of fun with this career choice and those sisters--she will have you chuckling!) Jen suffers through the idiosyncrasies of that business while pursuing her real passion part- time: brewing small batch beers.

So you've met Jen. Then there's her boyfriend/new fiance Robert, who gives new meaning to the descriptions "uptight" "dull," and "straight-laced." Add a touch of weird, too. (He proposes to Jen with a horrendous-looking ring that once belonged to his great grandmother, who must have had fingers the size of salami.) He's an attorney and he's got their perfect life all planned out. It doesn't include Jen's beer brewing side business.

Oh, and let's not forget another little twist to this story: Robert's sisters are the off-the-wall business owners of the incontinence pad company where Jen works.

Our third intriguing character is Lydia, Jen's physically challenged sister. She's an amputee who Jen tries vainly to over-protect. But behind Jen's back, Lydia is an extreme sports enthusiast who tries everything skydiving to

Then there's the mysterious Dane named Yakob who fishes her out of a Copenhagen river. She's visiting Copenhagen for a girls weekend away with two of her friends and her sister. Her phone falls into the canal, she tries to reach for it, and 'plop,' she finds herself in the canal. Before she realizes it, a hunky Scandinavian man is pulling her out of the water and into his boat. (It's a hilarious scenario that you will need to read!)

So we've got Jen, and we've got Yakob. And we've got sparks, of course. And you know, where there are sparks, there is fire, right? But not right away, because Jen has unwittingly put her foot in her mouth. She's been dissing Kronegaard beers, telling Jakob that corporate beers are "all about style and not substance," and how they "ditch flavour for profits." She rambles on and on about beer and how large breweries are sellouts.

Later, she learns something fascinating about Yakob, and well, she's eating her shoe leather. (No, I'm not going to tell you what that fascinating fact is. Read the book.!)

So, that meets my requirements for characters who draw me into their story. Their meet cute is believable -- he fishes her out of the water, and they find they have 'lots in common. The touch of magic? Or, there's a prince charming story there -- but is it Robert, or Yakob? Again, you'll have to read the book!

(Quit trying to get spoilers out of me!)

What else do I require? Laughs? Oh yes, you'll find 'lots of them. In the ridiculousness of Jen's job, in the craziness of her sister, in the numerous situations that Jen gets herself into.

And exotic locale? Copenhagen, of course!

And yes, there is romance between...

Nope, not going to tell you!

So, I'm going to end this review now, because you really need to stop reading it and start reading "Probably the Best Kiss in the World."

This was a cute story. I wasn't as invested in the characters as I would have liked to be. I did love Jen following her passion over any romance or relationship. Jen and Lydia as sisters had to find a way to live their own lives as well. The romance was cute, but not as strong as I was expecting. Overall, it was a cute read to look into.

I confess that what lured me to this romantic comedy was Copenhagen! I love to travel to locations on my bucket list through fiction and this light and lively romance, underscored with essential life truths and rounded out by a delightful cast of characters was just the perfect escape.

I really enjoyed the book's mantra that settling for just enough is, well, just enough and that the moment we allow ourselves to open up to something more, we can discover adventure, calamity, wonder and love.

The sights, sounds, tastes and feels of Copehagen are brilliantly and effusively handled by an author who clearly has a passion for the city and its unique history.

I loved this book! It has humor and romance making it a fun and heartfelt read. It was a bit basic yet it wasn't a complete cliché. Jen is easy to fall in love with and relate to in someway. It is a predicable ending but it has some twist along the way. Jen does get a bit frustrating to read about, after a few chapters I wanted to slap her. Was a bit too slow for me and I did lose a bit of interest halfway towards the end.

This is the first book I've read by Pemille Hughes
I was really invested in the characters in this story they had a bit of depth and were relatable. I find sometimes that books of this genre, the characters can be a bit vacuous but I enjoyed that it wasn’t focused on romance. I mean we all like romance but it’s not number one priority for people. It's a book that shows a woman can pursue multiple interests as well as being focused on career

Overall its quite a feel good book and if you like romcom/chicklit you will enjoy 😊

An enjoyable book with a slow burn romance. The two female characters' banter will keep you engaged throughout the book and may overshadow the romance for some readers. I look forward to the author's next book.

A great read.

I particularly liked the parts of the book set in Copenhagen.

Likeable characters and you want them to be happy.

What a fabulous book! Really enjoyed every minute- from the home brewing (yes really) to the trip to Copenhagen and the luscious Dane who rescues Jen from the canal!

An amusing read - didn’t expect a book with beer at its core to be so much fun! And I love the title... probably the best kiss in the world being a play on the famous advertising slogan from Carlsberg...

This amazing novel is about finding love even when you don't think you need it. Jen and Lydia are sister and make the story even more amazing with the banter that comes from their friendship. It made me wish I had a sister to take care of me the way Jen does for Lydia. Brewing also was a major part of this amazing book, even though I think there was a little too much of it in the dialogue I understood why it was there. Jen makes some amazing growth over the entire story which made me think that you are never stuck in one place even if it feels like it at the time. Jen was able to continue her dreams and figure out who was in her life for the right reasons. That seems to be something I need to learn as well and this story helped me with that.
