Eh. This had an interesting premise but there were too many people in the relationship. The book is supposed to be about Dex and Emma, but Grace is actually the third main character (to be honest I think she gets more book time than Emma and that was a mistake for my perspective). I couldn’t stand her and that made reading this a chore.

So, the basic premise is that Dex and Grace have been in friends since they were 10 or something and Dex has been in love with Grace that whole time. Dex is gay, Grace is not. Grace does however know that Dex loves her and shamelessly and selfishly plays on this. She’s just married Brent, but still wants Dex to hang on her every movement. Emma works with Brent and is set up with Dex, they hit it off and are super cute together, but of course Grace hates Emma taking Dex’s attention and acts like a spoiled two year old for pretty much 9/10s of the book.

Emma is a freaking saint (and also smart enough to not put up with this shit for long) and it takes Dex too long to pull her head out of her butt and see what’s really happening. So there are just large portions of the book devoted to Grace acting like a bitch and Emma trying to get Dex to see what’s what. Frankly, if I was Emma, I’d have pushed Grace down a set of stairs and been done with it, but I guess that’s just me.

I did like Dex and Emma together, but unfortunately Grace overpowered everything and I just couldn’t enjoy any scene with her in it, which is most of the book. I don’t know if I was supposed to feel sympathy for her, but I did not. She wanted the best of both worlds and didn’t care who she hurt to get it.

I’d give this 2.5 stars but I’m rounding up because it’s well-written.

OMG one of the best opening chapters that I have ever read, and to be fair the way the book continued didn't disappoint me.
Dex and Emma are just great together but I love the input from Grace, makes you want to keep reading to see what she's up to next.
The book has a really good mixture of romance, hotness and humour.

Would I recommend......yes a joy to read
