This is a wonderfully written romance with a great setting and marvellous characters.
The story line flows with ease as I for one could not put it down.

This is my first Sue Moorcroft book, but it certainly won't be my last.

I loved this super feelgood novel. I loved Clancy, I just wanted to wrap her up in a fluffy comfort blanket, it seemed everything that could go wrong for her did.

I also loved the little community in Nelson's Bar. With no Wi-Fi to distract them, there's a real family feel to the neighbourhood. It's the kind of place perfect for escaping to on summer days. Plus, with no connections to distract me from social media, if I were in Nelson's Bar I might finally get some reading done for once!

Sue Moorcroft delivers a solid breezy read with this one. In the novel we meet some of the residents of Nelson's Bar and enter their small town. The book follows Clancy as she goes through one of the most devastating times of her life and packs up and moves for a fresh start. I appreciated all the various issues and dynamics presented in the novel as well as the not so subtle push and pull between Clancy and Aaron. Overall, this is a light breezy read with a mix of romance, small town charm and emotional dynamics. It is a feel good book about relationships, some that fail and some that succeed. Clancy and Aaron are the main characters but there are so many other worthy characters to make you laugh, feel exasperated with or enjoy reading about their antics. It is an extremely entertaining and enjoyable book to read.

Unlike other romantic novels, the writer didn’t include all the cheesy moments and that is why I really enjoyed the realistic expectations and feelings for Clancy and Aaron provided by the author.

Really enjoyed this - the characters were warm and you wanted a happy ending for the main characters.

Discovering that the latest offering from Sue Moorcroft would not be set in the familiar village of Middledip was a surprise and left me wondering whether I would take to the new characters as well. I needn’t have worried because A Summer to Remember is an absolute triumph. Both Clancy and Aaron are beautifully written and their relationship, although filled with highs and lows, is what a reader craves.
I came across Sue’s writing after tweeting Katie Fforde and Jill Mansell to air my disdain at having to wait so long for their next books to be published. They responded with a list of ‘must read’ authors and I’ve not looked back.
A Summer to Remember is, in my opinion, Sue’s best yet. Both Aaron and Clancy are living in the shadow of their respective family member’s past. Aaron, offering protection to Lee, his heartbroken brother and Clancy, following the trail of destruction left by her cousin, Alice, Lee’s erstwhile fiancée.

Flash forward six years and Aaron has bought his brother’s interests in Roundhouse Row, the would-be marital home which, in turn, is now being run as a home and holiday let business. Alice retains her share but, Clancy has been working remotely with Aaron to ensure that a good business is in place.

Middledip is replaced by Nelson’s Bar, a remote village in Norfolk with neither internet access or mobile phone signal but, a whole host of wonderful characters. Clancy heads to Nelson’s Bar, just for the Summer, whilst she considers her options after the shocking breakdown of her engagement. Moving into the open caretaker’s job at Roundhouse Row, makes sense when she leaves London after life as she knew it falls apart. It shouldn’t be an issue that, 6 years ago, Clancy and Aaron shared a passionate kiss, should it?

I cannot recommend this book enough and hope that Sue continues to write more amazing characters and paint beautiful settings that I want to visit.

Nelson's Bar is a remote vacation spot in the English countryside. Clancy is in need of a place to stay since she has lost her job and her boyfriend all in one fell swoop. She decides to return to take care of the cottages herself rather than hire someone. Old boyfriends and relatives don't make this an ideal situation but she's determined. Good story set in a beautiful location. The "ad" on the dust jacket describes the place to perfection.

WHO? The ideal candidate will be looking for an escape from their cheating scumbag ex-fiancé, a diversion from their entitled cousin, and a break from their traitorous friends.

WHAT YOU’LL GET! Accommodation in a chocolate-box cottage, plus a summer filled with blue skies and beachside walks. Oh, and a reunion with the man of your dreams.

This is a really cute summer read. It's a quick read that kept me reading with a few twists. The book might be slightly predictable at times, but sometimes reading a predictable book can be a good thing when you want a light read. I also liked that the book had a couple of LGBT characters.

This was such a cute summer read. I love books like this - usually by the end of them I want to move to wherever they are set and start my own little business and this was no exception. Norfolk is next on my list and of course a holiday cottage business sounds perfect.

I enjoyed the characters in this book and felt like the plot points were believable. I didn't have a hard time falling into the rhythm of this book and manged to finish it in two sittings - it was near impossible to put down. This was my first Sue Moorcroft book and it definitely will not be my last.

This was such a cute summer read! I really enjoyed it. I absolutely loved the descriptions of the setting I’m this novel as well - wish it was a real place that I could visit! I liked the pacing of the relationship and the supporting characters. Some parts were a touch dramatic but other conflicts were described very realistically ! I would definitely recommend this book and look forward to reading more from this author!

I loved this book - easy quick read that kept my interest throughout. It is full of twists and turns and things that kept my attention thorughout the whole book. The characters retain a certain air of reality that will make you identify with them and leave you not wanting to stop reading.

Lovely read. By the time I finished it, (in two sittings), I wanted to move to Norfolk and open a holiday cottage business. I loved the description of the village and its coastline. It revealed the minute detail of running a holiday home business with a cast of characters that kept you hooked. A great holiday read.

Sue Moorcraft gives great attention to detail in the locations as well as the personalities of her characters, I even felt I'd met and understood the one eyed dog Nelson.

If you enjoy the likes of Erica James you'll love A Summer to Remember, it's the perfect summer holiday read. I was totally invested in the storyline and felt somewhat sad when I reached the final pages, always a sign of a well written book.

But the locals do not trust her because of her infamous cousin who walked out of a wedding. The rest of the novel is about how the locals warm up to her and how she finds love.

It is a perfect book for people who love English setting, romance and laid back novels.

I am a fan of Sue Moorcroft's Middledip series and it is lovely to be taken to Nelson Bar and meet the inhabitants of this charming backwater. A Summer to Remember is exactly as the title promises as we see the village through Clancey's eyes and then get to know an intriguing cast of characters. What a refreshing read. A romance that is not too sweet and has a realistic look at relationships but is always going to have an uplifting ending.

Can’t believe this is my first read by this author. It will certainly not be my last.

Clancy needed a fresh start and found herself in Nelsons Bar. Sadly her past creeps up on her and the locals don’t trust her. Talk about judging a person before getting to know them...ggrrr.

As I sit here writing this review I’ve got a smile on my face. It’s just one of those kinda reads.

This is a very quick enjoyable read. An ideal refreshing beach read. Highly recommend this gem.
