A good, practical textbook and reference for law students and human resources professionals. (Too technical for our small public library collection, but that's what I get for not reading the full description before requesting the ARC. But academic and special libraries could definitely benefit from having a copy!)

As a practising HR professional, a good employment law book is an essential item for the desk. It provides a clear and practical approach without overuse of jargon as per some text books. Case law is studied in depth and each chapter is set out with clear objectives, tasks and examples. Of first view it might appear only suitable for students, but case law is always relevant, and it is always useful to have a reference point, even long after you have graduated!
