Interesting read, action packed and good world building. The plot felt a bit tired, but Childers carries it off! Thank you!

This series opener has a lot of potential and seems exactly like something I would have been into. Unfortunately though it didn't love up to my expectations and a good deal of that is because I couldn't connect with any of the characters and that it really could have done with another round of edits.

I don’t think book was the right one for me. Will not be rating on goodreads or review on my blog. I only like to post about ones I like.

Agents of Blood Book 1
The Ruby Agent
by Jeremiah Childers
Dog Ear Publishing
General Fiction (Adult) , Sci Fi & Fantasy
A book of individuals that are hereditary vessels used for Angels to fight demons. I would put this book more in the YA jantra.

Both the cover and the jacket description are excellent for enticing a reader to start this book. The story line is one I have not seen before so I was surprised when the book did not live up to my expectations. I did enjoy the book, just found the writing style a little heavy for me. It will be very interesting to see how this writer matures.
A modern day Apocalypse story centering around the 4 Horsemen and how they will save the world. A man who did not choose his fate must now work together with others like him to face the worst imaginable foe and solve this crisis before mankind disappears. Again, a novel story line not well executed. But, it's still a good read and worth your reading time. It will definitely start you thinking...

I tried very hard to read this book, but i just couldnt finish it. I was very bored and the story was all over the place, not enough backstory or explanations for me, and i found it really hard work so i am sorry to say i gave up half way through.

The author presented a well-written account of the proverbial struggle between good versus evil. In stunning detail, the storyline kept my undivided attention from beginning to end. The time of reckoning had finally arrived. Teetering on total annihilation, our world was held in the balance. Riddled with nightmarish, supernatural beings commanded by dark forces, the clock had run out. The end of days fell upon us.

In following biblical legend, the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse took to arms in the modern 21st century. The stakes for humanity's survival were set at the highest imaginable. Their mission - prevent the Gates of Hell from opening. The continuance of the human race as we know it is weighed heavily upon their shoulders. Unfortunately, our planet's saviors were pitted against overwhelming odds. For the good guys, it was not looking good.

Summoned to take up the fight against powerful forces, the main protagonist of this horrific tale, Valentine, had been chosen by the Archangel Gabriel to lead in battle. Prior to his recruitment, he was just an ordinary guy. That quickly changed. Now possessed with otherworldly power, saving our civilization fell into his lap. However, would he have enough to chutzpah to crush the king of hell? The coming of the Armageddon was finally upon us. Time would soon tell.

I offer my thanks to NetGalley and Dog Ear Publishing for this ARC in exchange for an unbiased review.
