Cute , but I didn’t feel the chemistry or romance much. I also think although can be read as a standalone the previous characters from other books makes you feel like your missing out on something and is a bit confusing. Nice story but lacks heart.

Well written and enjoyable story. I felt it took a little while to get going but once I got into it I found it very enjoyable. Perfect summer story

Even though this book can be read as a stand alone I wish I'd had the chance to read the others prior to it, as there was quite a lot to get to grips with. Saying that I enjoyed the characters and the style of writing, as well as the storyline.

This romance is a fail. I did not care about the characters. This was not enjoyable at all to read

I really liked the idea behind this book, but it was not my favorite! I know that it’s meant to be able to be read in any order, even though it’s a series, but I kept feeling like I was missing out by not reading the previous books. I found the amount of characters overwhelming, and I felt like I didn’t know a lot of them. I did really like Gloria and Seth’s story though, and I thought their banter was charming.

A fast paced, heartwarming romance. I hadn’t read the first two in the series but this didn’t spoil my enjoyment of this book. Funny characters that you care about from the offset and make you want to know more about them, their backstory and the other villagers.

5 star on Goodreads from me.

This is a cute book with a sweet premise: two people are given the chore of planning a wedding for their friend & one’s brother and neither has a real desire to do this as they both are divorced. They keep running toward and away from the definite chemistry between them.
It ran rather slow for me and felt like the book stalls out for a bit before it gets restarted. Consequently, it held my interest then lost it then picked it up again.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Planning a wedding is stressful. Planning a close friends' wedding is crazy, especially if you're still recovering from a very public divorce, and your wedding planner partner is another divorcee, who seems intent on challenging every word you utter, determined to convince you there can be a 'Happily Ever After', and oh yes, he's definitely not what you need in your eye-line when you're on a man ban.

This is a comical, quirky, romantic story, something you expect from the Whispers Wood series featuring Gloria and Seth as they set out to plan Emma and Jake's wedding. The chemistry between Gloria and Seth is spot on, both are sworn off love, both trying to prove something to those they care about and both attracted to the other, although they feverishly deny this, even to themselves.

The cast of characters, (which for readers, new to the series are described in a glossary), make this village come to life. All, have a role to play, and I particularly like the role of Old Man Issac as a therapist, who would have thought?

Great characters, a lovely snapshot of village life, with both a sense of community and the tendency to gossip and interfere in each other's lives. It is great that Gloria and Seth get their chance of a happily ever after, despite their cynicism and flaws.

I received a copy of this book from Harper Impulse via |NetGalley in return for an honest review.

The Wedding Planner was my first book from author Eve Devon. I was unaware it was the third in a series until getting into the book. I have to say it felt a little like arriving late to a party where everyone was talking about what had happened over the last few hours. It takes a little catching up to get up to speed with the characters!

I applaud Gloria for working to reign in her snarkiness. She was certainly a different sort of heroine. I really enjoyed her story and love all the details of village life in Whispers Woods. While readable as a standalone, I recommend reading the first two in the series before this book. Thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to review this book.

A beautiful and extremely romantic story that reinforces our belief in love and the possibility of a Happily Ever After. I was so excited and invested in following the heroine on her quest of finding The One, that I was barely finding the time to cook!

A lighthearted and easy summer read, this book is perfect if you are looking for a beach book, a garden deckchair book or a sunny afternoon in the conservatory book.
This book will have you laughing, hoping and smiling

I hadn’t realised this was book three in a series; otherwise, I wouldn’t have requested it. Even though it is a stand-alone book, you do feel ever so slightly that you are missing out on the inside joke as you aren’t armed with all the information that has gone by in the previous books.
This book was so hard to get into, even at 80%, I didn’t feel like it had really got going. It just sort of plodded on throughout and I kept waiting to be drawn into the characters lives, but they just weren’t likeable.
The protagonist Gloria was probably the most interesting character even though she had this supposed attitude problem. This is what made her enjoyable. I didn’t like her friend's reaction to her little outbursts. They were way too serious; I actually thought some of the things she came out with were funny and didn’t warrant the reaction from her so-called friends. It was uncomfortable reading about her trying to suppress that side of herself to please everyone else around her.
The pop culture references were really annoying if you didn’t get some of them; it made you feel inadequate, and it would make you lose your way with the story a little.
I felt overall that the writing was very awkward and the characters were really forced and didn’t flow at all. The ending wasn’t very well thought out and was very rushed. The 180 she does just because of what her friends tell her just left me thinking “what?!?!” It was again so strained and laboured; it didn’t feel natural.
My mind certainly wandered throughout this book; it just didn’t capture me. I won’t be reading the back catalogue or any future books I’m afraid!

The Wedding Planner was a light, easy read. If you are a fan of Debbie Macomber’s Cedar Cove series, I think you would also enjoy this book, which includes a cast of characters living in a small town. I read this book as a stand-alone, which was fine, but I think I would have gotten more out of it if I started at the beginning of the series. If you’re looking for an charming, easy read than give this book a chance.

This is the first book I've read by the author. The story was simple, pretty straightforward and fun. A good read for a Sunday afternoon.
Since I had not read the other 2 books in the series, it did take a while for me to get connected with all the secondary characters. But in the end, I loved every one of them.
My most favorite aspect of the book was Gloria. I absolutely loved her feisty character and found Seth to be a perfect match for her. I really connected to her and was happy for her and heartbroken with her for all she had to deal with. Her growth throughout the book was a pleasure to read. My only hitch was that I would have loved to read more interactions between Seth and Gloria. All their instances together were filled with chemistry and would have liked to enjoy lots more of it.

I also would have liked to read more about her relationship with her sister and how she engages with her family now that Seth is her support system. But hopefully, we get to see more of Gloria in the next book in the series.

This is the third book in the series, which I didn't realize until I started reading it. I wish I had read the first two books in the series before I read this. I felt kind of lost at first since I think it was assumed you'd read the other books, so there wasn't really any background given on the characters who starred in the first two. However, once I figured out the characters and how they were all connected, I did end up enjoying the story and I plan on going back and reading the first two. I would highly recommend this, but only after you've read the first two. This is a good series with fun and likable characters.

Loved this book, the story of Gloria and Seth.

Gloria has a spiky personality, but you still can't help liking her. Roped in to help plan her friend Emma's wedding along with the Grooms brother Seth.

She likes him, but has sworn off men since her divorce. Will she give him a chance?

Hoping there will be more books in this series!

Reading this book, I felt as if I had started halfway through a book, only just realised its part 3 in a series, I wished I started at the beginning as I felt as if I missed a lot. It ruined some of the enjoyment, I’d recommend reading them as a series

Light and happy, this third installment in a series was a standalone for me but that was fine. I knew Gloria and Seth would get together (no spoilers there) but I enjoyed how it happened. There's snappy dialogue, both of their points of view, and a nice zippy plot. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. Perfect for a lazy read.
