Jane Fallon is quickly becoming a favourite author for me. This is the second book I’ve read of hers and it’s so good. She breathes life into the characters and makes me feel that I know them personally. The intrigue and conspiracies between Holly and Roz kept me gripped until the last page. Also lots of laugh out loud scenarios. Couldn’t put this one down! I look forward to reading more of her works. Many thanks netgalley for introducing me to Jane Fallon books.

Jane Fallon knocked it out of the park yet again with another yummy chick-lit adventure. While it starts out a tad slow, it quickly picks up into a cat and mouse game and I couldn't wait for the mouse to get what was coming to her!

This book is not Jane Fallon's best. I kept reading because I wanted to know what happened in the end, but the first half of the book did seem to drag on a bit. I found it difficult to believe that grown women could act like fourteen year olds so consistently and nastily. The pace picks up towards the end, I guessed one of the twists, but the gossipy, romping style was enough to tide me over. It would make a decent holiday read.

Roz is Holly’s best friend at work. So when Holly gets promoted, she can’t wait to celebrate with Roz, who has been there every step of the way, encouraging Holly and helping her with her application. After all, Roz has no desire to progress at work given that has a super-rich husband who works in PR for the rich and famous, so she spends all of her spare time at fabulous parties and events rubbing shoulders with anyone who is anyone. However, when Holly starts encountering problems at work, she starts to think maybe she can’t trust Roz as much as she had thought.

This is the first of Jane Fallon’s novels that I have read, although I am a big fan of some tv shows that she has worked on, so I had high hopes for this book. I found the characters very well-written and I enjoyed getting to know them. The story was pacey and well-constructed. I felt like I was seeing the inner workings of a real tv show, which I found really interesting, and the author’s knowledge of tv production was a real bonus here. I did guess a few of the twists in advance, but it didn’t at all take away any of my enjoyment of the story.

This is a great story about friendship and trust, and what happens when things take a wrong turn. Although some of the twists and turns seem a little far fetched, this is a heart-warming tale written really well, which kept my interest and enjoyment throughout the novel, right to the final page.

I've read a couple of Jane's books previously, and unfortunately once you've read more than one they start to become incredibly similar.
I could see where the twists were meant to be but the book was so predictable that none of them were a surprise.
Nice, light-hearted read, just not one of my favourites this year.

Holly and Roz work as script writers on the TV production of Churchill Road and are best friends. Holly applies to become script executive and Roz helps with her CV, but it isn’t until Holly’s application is successful that she discovers Roz also applied. Soon after Holly starts a three-months’ probation period unexplained events start to happen, offensive emails are sent to members of the cast that have supposedly come from Holly. Is someone trying to destroy Holly’s career, but if so, why?

‘Tell Me A Secret’ is the first novel I’ve read by Jane Fallon and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it. The character descriptions are excellent, as are the accounts of office relationships that made me feel I was part of the team. I laughed out loud when Holly, complete with long blonde wig, joins forces with Dee in a woolly hat and dark glasses despite the heatwave and Gavin hiding behind a newspaper, in an attempt to gather photographic evidence and discover the truth behind Roz’ glamorous yet highly exaggerated private life. This is a thoroughly enjoyable read and one I can highly recommend.

This was a pacy read which is centred around friendship and betrayal within the workplace. whilst also exploring friendships outside of work. It makes you question how well you know those around you and how much we accept without question. The characters were mostly as you would expect in the way that they fit their roles but I was intrigued by Juliet and would have liked her story and character explored a little more. I did enjoy this book but didn't engage with all of the characters as well as I would like to in order for me to really feel like I was emotionally invested in them and fighting their corner.

I absolutely loved this book and was gripped from the first page. It has a few twists that you don’t see coming and every night I read, just one more page....until the book was finished! Jane Fallon doesn’t disappoint and this book was another great read.

Jane Fallon excels in writing light hearted, entertaining, enjoyable and escapist novels imbued with plenty of intrigue. Having enjoyed her previous novels, I was looking forward to reading this one too, and I was not disappointed in the least. Whilst there is much of Fallon's trademark themes of relationships, deceit, rivalries and deception, this time round there is no romance and instead the focus is the nature of friends, the support they offer, with the unfriendly and toxic elements as well. Single mom Holly has prioritised bringing up her daughter, Ashley, at the expense of her career in TV. An overjoyed Holly is therefore understandably over the moon when she secures a promotion, assuming everyone will share and support her success. But are they???

On probation for the post, Holly's friend at work, Roz, share secrets and a similar sense of humour. Feeling a sense of insecurity and confidence issues, Holly is taken aback when a sustained campaign of sabotage begins to take place. Who is behind it? Who can Holly trust? As Holly acquires a new lodger, a story of twists and intrigue emerges that replicates that of the soap operas that Holly works in. This is a fast paced, compelling binge read that captures the world of office politics and gossip. Fallon constructs well written novels with wit and comic touches that have masses of appeal with the great characterisation that cannot fail to engage the reader. Friendships are a universal human phenomena, as indeed are the competitive territory of office politics, so Fallon has hit on a winning formula here. After securing promotion at work, Holly is subjected to a stream of practical jokes and malicious misdemeanors.
Who wants her to fail?
Who wants her job?
The characters are clearly described, you could almost be one of the office staff..

I love Jane Fallon's books, I think she writes some of the best characters and entertaining stories.
Tell Me a Secret was another engrossing read. Well written with a believable story line and believable characters. This book had me picking it up whenever I had a spare minute. Read it in super quick time as I really enjoyed it.

Tell Me A Secret by Jane Fallon a five-star read you won’t want to keep a secret. This was a compelling read about friendship and it’s a refreshing twist to what we normally see. The story is mostly set at Holly’s job, she works as a script writer for a TV soap that sounds great and adds some additional twists to drama. I don’t know what to say without getting the story revealed as you need to read this and get all of the details yourself as you will already be turning the page and second guessing every detail. Jane Fallon has a way with writing that keeps you reading and needing to get to the end to discover if the little nuances you have picked up are real, or you imagined them. Holly was a great character and some of the others will lead you down a path, the question is will you come back?

I only discovered Jane Fallon last year and couldn’t wait for her next book - I knew I’d be in for a treat. I think it’s really hard to find good books in this genre.

I could have easily sat and read Tell Me A Secret in a day. The plot draws you in and Holly, the lead, is likeable whilst Roz (the nuisance) is intriguing. I guessed a couple of the plot points which did take away the element of surprise but it was still a fun book.

Whilst not as good as her last book, Tell Me A Secret is still a great read and I will be recommending it to others.

What a book! Another great read from Jane Fallon.
This book focuses on female friendship and it’s ups and downs and downright sabotage! A fast paced fascinating read.

I was so immersed in this book I nearly missed my train stop.

Holly and Roz work together, Holly can rely on Roz, they laugh at the same things, even though they are the opposite of each other. Holly is a single mum, about to become a grandma and Roz lives the highlife. Best friends that is until Holly gets a promotion………..that she thinks Roz didn’t want!


This is a story about true friendship and your worst enemy.

Jane Fallon’s plot is fast paced and she is so ahead of her game with all the twists and plots that you will never be left wondering why did Holly not do that, why did she not think of that, because she does!

From the minute I started reading Tell me a Secret until I reached the end, Jane held me in awe with her storytelling.

Here is yet another great book written by Jane Fallon. I sat with this book and before I knew it I was finished.
This is a book based around friendship and rivalry. As in all of Jane Fallons books both the story, plot and characters are strong , believable and well executed.
This is a story about Hollywho gets a promotion at work-Yet there is a green eyed monster in the mits who does not share Holly’s news with pleasure.
With the he,p of her friend Dee they try to discover who is at the bottom of this.
Expect many twists and turns. Full of office politics.

Holly and Roz are great friends at work, but when Holly gets a promotion things start to happen. Confiding in Roz, Holly thinks someone is out to sabotage her. Roz thinks it's Juliette who also went for the job and didn't get it.
Holly is also dealing with her personal life, having to rent our her spare room to help support her adult daughter with her new life and baby on the way.
Tell Me A secret tells the story of Holly's sabotage at work and working out who is behind it with the help of Holly's friends Dee and Gav.
I guessed quite quickly and whilst the book was a nice easy read, there were no surprises for me.

When Holy is given the opportunity of her dream job in soap opera television, she is determined to pass the probationary period and secure the post as it will provide her and her pregnant daughter peace of mind financially.

This story focuses on Holly’s work office colleagues and as the tale progresses Holly realises that she doesn’t know them at all, especially her close work buddy Roz. Roz is certainly an interesting character who holds her work mates’ attention daily with her fantasies and lies. After being found out Holly has only one thing on her mind –revenge!

Tell Me a Secret is a compulsive read with plenty of office bitchiness, sabotage as well as friendships to hold your attention.
