Thanks Netgalley and the Publisher. This is a compulsive read of female rivalry and how it can affect friendships. A whopping 5 stars

This is a really fun read that will have you page turning rapidly. It’s a modern story of jealousy and revenge and questioning who you really can trust. Holly is a single mother with a daughter who is pregnant and she has got a promotion at work which makes her a target for mean tricks to undermine her. It is a light read, made me laugh at times, and has a satisfying ending.

Thank you for allowing me to review this book.
ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS BOOK!
It was such an easy read, with lots of twist and turns. Enough to keep you guessing throughout, I loved the way the plot unraveled.
The book is centred around a single mother Holly, who lands a dream promotion, but not everyone is happy for her, and someone is out to sabotage her during her probation, the depths the characters go to in this book is great.
This is such a good book and highly recommend it to anyone. Off now to check out other books by this author!

Holly finds herself with a new promotion and her daughter has moved out so she needs a flatmate. It's all change and she finds that she is being sabotaged at work which means she's on a mission to prove herself and show she can do this job. Her friend, Roz has betrayed her and the bitchiness she used to share with her has suddenly changed because it is now being directed at her and she doesn't like it one bit now that the tables have changed. I enjoyed the book and it made me want to read on but my main problem was with the main character Holly. She has been fine with being bitchy and putting others down. The only reason she changes is because this behaviour is then turned on to her and she doesn't like it. Is she a likeable, redeemable character? Probably not but the theme of work place bullying and judging is highlighted and begs the question, would you like this behaviour if it was directed at you? It also shows that women should be kinder to one another and more understanding rather than judging and freezing people out without getting to know each other properly. Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for letting me read this book.

A brilliant read! Jane Fallon at her best. The plot and characters felt really fresh and it had all the hallmarks that makes a top Women's Fic read.

A brilliant book which I could not put down. Very early on I was thinking how clever I was for working it all out – what a fool I was! Believable characters, twists and turns and a highly satisfactory ending – what’s not to love?

This book really sums up the saying of 'who needs enemies when one has friends like this'. A very enjoyable, brilliant and well written novel. The twists and turns certainly keep the reader captivated right up until the end. The book takes office politics to another level, beginning with the low level bickering and sniping that is present in all office environments, it quickly escalates. The characters are well drawn and one can empathise with the central character totally especially when she does rash things which she immediately regrets and suffers guilt pangs. There is a touch of comedy throughout, especially couple Dee and Gavin who decide to bring amateur sleuthing to the story, just wonderful, but this also just brings the story down to earth making it so plausible and makes one look at how one interacts with so called friends. How it is easy to let slip little bits of information that could be used against one and a small drink can let loose tongues that give away more than they intend.

Loved it and would thoroughly recommend it

If there's one thing I can trust Jane Fallon will nail every single time, it's writing a book in a way that's very easy to read.

One thing that was entirely different compared to My Sweet Revenge and Faking Friends was the focus of the story. Where the main aspect used to be romance and love, Tell Me a Secret focuses on friendships way more. It surprised me, since I didn't expect it to be the case but.. in a good way?

Our main character - Holly - is a script editor for a television soap! Which means most of this novel is set at her job, where there's scripts galore! Of course, we don't find out much about the actual show but.. I still loved it since it felt so unique to me.

Now, where the fun's actually at? The characters!
From the get-go, you notice Molly wants to be sure of herself, show some confidence since she just got promoted and feels the pressure of people's expectations. Not to mention how she suddenly has to manage the people she worked with and now work for her. That isn't an easy feat in normal circumstances, let alone when you're getting back-stabbed over and over by the skies know who. It really hurt me seeing her like that, noticing how she was crawling back into her shell but.. in the end it also shows the character growth throughout the entire novel.

Which leads me to the side characters, who are so much more fleshed out than I thought they'd be! Having their own issues and battles to fight, it added an entire extra dimension to Tell Me a Secret.

The last thing I most definitely have to mention is Jane Fallon's ability to write toxic characters. Up until now, that's featured in every book of hers I've read and it's why I keep wanting to read them as well. Having that one character to hate in a book? I know most of us enjoy that, even if it's just a little bit.

Not necessarily a bad thing but I did figure out what was going on specifically - like, details and all - before I was "meant to". I'm pretty sure this has more to do with having read Jane Fallon's work before and, thus, having some insight in the way she writes and constructs her stories. It didn't ruin my reading experience at all, but.. I might have wished it wasn't so predictable? Just a little bit?

I really enjoyed reading this one. It was different than Jane Fallon's other work, but that's exactly why I love it so much! It's refreshing, but still familiar and that combination did the trick!

4,5 / 5!

Not my usual genre but this book had me gripped throughout. Will be looking out for more of the same!

Holly has her dream job, on probation at first, but she's sure to succeed. Isn't she?
Well not if her so called best friend has her way. Roz wanted the job also, didn't tell Holly she was applying and hates it that she didn't get it. Her fantasy life becomes more and more implausible and you wonder that she takes anyone in with her stories.
A nasty chain of inter company emails apparently sent from Holly's computer, makes everyone suspicious and angry. Best friend Roz plays the innocent, even blaming another colleague.
Until things begin to unravel.
I have to say that I did suppect Hattie as she was an obvious person in the right place to access Holly's computer. The help that Holly finally gets from unexpected people in the company is comforting and the denouement is cleverly written.
I thought Holly was extremely forgiving!
Thanks to Net Galley , Penguin and Michael Joseph for this reveiw copy, which i enjpyed reading.

I love Jane Fallon and eagerly await each new book! Every one she writes seems to get better and better and Tell Me a Secret is no exception. I get totally involved with the characters and their predicaments. In this story the main character, Holly, is being dragged through the mud metaphorically and her name is being discredited with the intention of not having her temporary promotion confirmed. For some time she knows who is responsible for the events that portray her in a bad light but cannot work out how it is being done. There are some lovely characters who help track down the culprit and some good twists and turns along the way. It's a bit like a whodunnit without a murder! I liked the additional storyline of the relationship with her daughter as well. Once again the heroine is forgiving of her protagonist and you feel she could have been more severely punished for her crimes.
The real measure of a good book is when you are desperate to find out what happens but you don’t want the book to end. That’s exactly how I felt about this book. Loved it and can’t wait for the next one!

I've read three other titles by this author and enjoyed them all. This one was as good, if not better, (hence the five stars this time).

The premise is simple, the characters are extremely engaging and the pace flows nicely along. Don't expect anything too complex but it is a page turner. I'm sure some readers might find the antagonist a bit unbelievable but this still makes for a compelling story. I couldn't put the book down which is something of a rarity for me.
I think it's safe to say I've become a fan of Jane Fallon and I look forward to her next title.

Try this one, it's a lot more sophisticated in style and story telling than many others and if you are a fan of women's fiction that is not so much on the heavy side then I think you will enjoy this as much as I did.

I have read a couple Jane Fallon’s previous novels and this one is a cracker. It is a story about the difference between true and not so true friendships.

Holly has just been promoted and is delighted to be facing a new challenge. There are those at work who also applied for the position so she understands there will be issues to deal with. However, she doesn’t expect her best friend, Roz, at work to behave the way she is. This is the woman she has told all her secrets to.

Holly needs to rent out a room in her apartment, as she wants to help her daughter, who is pregnant, with her finances. She is under much stress and strange things begin to happen at work, which she seems to have no control over.

Her friend outside of work, Dee together with her husband, try to find out who is causing this and how.

Thank you to NetGalley, Penguin UK, Michael Joseph and Jane Fallon for my ARC in return for my honest review.

Brilliant read and highly recommended.

I read this book so quickly with no idea what was happening at all. Really strange and bizarre but brilliant. So addictive - you just need to read to the end as fast as you can to find out what's really going on.

Absolutely loved this book. Relatable characters, fast paced with twists didn’t see coming. Also love the fact the ending all ties up & all questions answered.

This is my first Jane Fallon book and I liked it, Holly has recently been promoted at work and discovers that someone is out to get her. A whole tangle of lies are uncovered along the way. This is a fast paced story with lots of good characters and I liked trying to work out who it was and what would happen next.

The work place is set on a TV show and Holly's team are the script writers and this added to the soap opera feel to the story.

A good read if you want something fast paced that has a satisfying ending.

When Holly gets promoted at work she can’t wait to get stuck in but someone has it in for her, making important paperwork go missing and mysterious emails being sent from her account that she knows she definitely did not send. Holly confides in her best work friend Roz who is supportive despite her glamourous busy life with her high flying husband.
Things take a turn when Holly finds out that Roz has been lying about her husband and actually lives in a run down flat in London not the millionaire mews house she claims.
Holly’s best friend Dee goes on an undercover mission to find out the truth about Roz.
A great book with a few twists that you will probably see coming but overall well written and a nice easy read.
