Loved this book. A bit slow in the beginning for me, but then I couldn't put it down. Great observation of all the characters, I think I have worked with a few of them. I will be looking for another one by this author.

For whatever reason this book fell totally flat for me, I couldn't get on with how silly everything seemed. Unfortunately even for some light reading this just wasn't for me at all. There were a few interesting moments but for the most part I found the characters annoying.

What a book!! I absolutely loved it. I connected immediately with Holly and adored See. The story was amazing, I literally could not put it down. It had my heart racing a few times and although I guessed the twist it still had me doubting myself. It's the kind of book I'd definitely read again, and I'd 100% recommend it

Another gem from Jane Fallon, this book is a delight to read. It tells the story of single mother, Holly, who has to deal with something awful going on in her workplace - who is responsible? Who can she trust? Well written, easy to read, intriguing, it will resonate with readers regarding their own work situation to a greater or lesser degree in lots of cases. Just the right kind of easy-Reading bookmfor this time of year.

I think I suspected everybody at some point of involvement in the campaign against Holly, from her best friend Dee to series producer Glen all the twists and turns took a while to be revealed. Who’s out to get Holly, and equally to the point, what can she do about it?

I liked that there was no romance element, it's refreshing to find a book in this genre that has a bit more to it than 'girl meets boy' and intrigued you with a good and interesting storyline that kept you turning the pages from start to finish!

Another stunning read. Jane Fallon has completely outdone herself with this latest novel; it is utterly superb! 5 well deserved stars

Wow, what a great book. Jane Fallon is back with a bang. I’ve always loved Fallon’s style of writing but I didn’t enjoy her last book as much as others. However, this book is amazing and she is back to her best.
The book will pull you in from page 1 and the characters are all very identifiable throughout. There’s enough twists and turns to keep you guessing.
I’d strongly recommend this book and it’s worthy of a big fat 5 stars.

A great book with the action from page one till the last one, there are twists a plenty and some very realistic characters and a couple that should be unbelievable but you probably think you know someone like that only you think they are a one off. If that doesn't make sense and I'm thinking it may not once your into this book you will understand and then be so hooked you won't care but you will care about Holly the lead character.
Holly has just been promoted but on probation before it's confirmed but not all her friends are as chuffed as she thought and not all colleagues are who she thinks they are. So the stuff that all good thrillers have but this one starts with action and the plot keeps going and has some really good personal touches that bring a feel of reality that takes you into the story or i thought took me deeper so that i felt a part of the thriller as if i was there. There is a sub plot invoking Holly's daughter Ashley, you get to meet her friend Dee and her husband Gavin, plus a lodger who works at a private dental practice mind aren't most private now!
The plot is about a subtle that becomes very unsubtle attack that puts Holly's job on the line before she even gets to sign on the dotted line or could very well do so and it's about to get dirtier by the day and she doesn't know who she can trust bit like life at times I guess but not like this i hope for your sake. You have to follow Holly's journey her mistakes and genuiness.
I loved this book and hope you do as well i definitely recommend it and want to thank Michael Joseph and NetGalley for my copy of this fantastic thriller I hope you enjoy it as much or more than i did.

Deliciously compulsive this really is a total pleasure of a read that I just flew through. Gossip, lies, friendships that may not be quite what they seem and devious behaviour is at the heart of this mystery and it makes for a brilliant novel and it’s so well written that you really do feel a part of all the machinations that are going on. My first book by the fabulous Jane Fallon and it won't be the last the excellent characterisation made it a novel I thoroughly enjoyed and well recommend.

This is a book of friendship, betrayal and office politics, reminding us that people are often not who they seem.
The main character Holly is given an opportunity of promotion, which she grabs with both hands, shes a little stuck in her ways, and the change will bring some much needed extra money. Her work bestie Roz has been supportive of Hollys transition to manager too. Outside of work Holly needs some extra cash to help her daughter out, so she decides to rent out her spare room - can she find the perfect lodger?
Holly is up and down through the book, fighting sabotage, and learning that sometimes people make mistakes and lie. I really ;like her attitude towards the problems, shes a fighter, and finds that there are people that you really can trust and count on, even when you haven't always been a good friend to them.
Some parts of the book are a little obvious, but it needs to be, to show the characters behaviors and to get you thinking and judging all the way through.
I guess it just shows that workplace rivalry doesn't just stay in the office.

Tell Me A Secret is set around the office politics in the script writing office of a thrice weekly TV series set in a school ( a bit like Waterloo Road crossed with Hollyoaks I felt).
We are introduced to our main characters Holly and Roz who have both worked in the department for a few years, meeting up after work occasionally for drinks and to put the world to rights. Their friendship has grown, and single mum Holly enjoys listening to Roz's tales of glamorous meetings with celebrity clients of her PR agent husband and their associated enviable lifestyle. Big house, exotic holidays - you name it, Roz and Hugh have it all. Holly can but dream of such a lifestyle as she struggles with the bills as daughter sets off to a new life at uni.

In an attempt to boost her salary Holly applies for a promotion, and seeks the support of her best friend and colleague, asking her advice with her application form. Roz is all too happy to assist, stating that she's not interested in the position herself. With her husband being a high earner, she is quick to point out with her customary brand of sarcasm that she does not need to go for promotion. Why then, when Holly gets the position do things start going mysteriously pear-shaped?

The observations of individuals among office politics is excellent from this author. I love her books and this one doesn't fail to live up to my expectations. The subtle digs (and some less so) among the colleagues are so well written you feel like you have a desk in the office and are actually part of the action. The gradual unveiling of the real life of the characters is superb, with the seemingly weak, mumsy colleague having a lot more strength in her private life than anyone had given her credit for, and the feisty outgoing one is also not what she presents to the world. This is a brilliant reflection of the diverse characters who get thrown together in the pressure cooker atmosphere of any office which makes it all the more readable as so many of us can relate as we work in a similar environment.

People are rarely all they first appear to be, and I loved the exploits of Holly and her 'outside of the office' best friend Dee as they sought to find out who was responsible for trying to scupper Holly's progression up the career ladder. I laughed and cried with them, and with the background of Holly's daughter adding to the drama this is a great book to curl up and lose yourself in. I would definitely buy this for my friends.

Wow, this was brilliant. It was so different to last year’s book (or rather this year January 2018), and unlike her other books which are usually about a woman getting revenge or a woman scorned.
This didn’t have any romance in it and concentrated on friendships instead and how you should keep your friends close but your enemies closer. The story was really well developed and written. It even had you doubting everyone, who could you trust?!
I’ve read some good books this year but every now and again one comes along and reminds you how brilliant a book can be, and this one did that for me. It was just a higher class of writing, and I couldn’t stop turning the pages wanting more. I even found myself thinking about the book when I wasn’t reading, and then you truly know the book has gotten its grip and won’t let you go until you’ve finished it!
I had been a little worried as when I read the last book I was somewhat underwhelmed as I felt the story was a bit repetitive and obvious. I'd still enjoyed it, but I was expecting something of the same from this one. However, Fallon has completely outdone herself with this latest novel; it is utterly superb!

An honest review in exchange for a free copy from NetGalley. I *really* enjoyed this book. When it started out I wasn't sure about the writing style, but I have devoured it in a matter of hours and found it really entertaining. Whilst it was predictable in places, I liked the characters and in a way I think some of the predictability contributed to my enjoyment of it. It was an easy, fun read and I'd be interested in reading other books by this author.

I usually love Jane Fallon books but this one felt a little rushed. Holly was a nice enough character but I couldn’t feel for her. It was almost her and Rox were only half thought out so you got a glimpse at how good their characters could be but it didn’t come to fruition. I think the premise of the story is good and I read it to the end because of this but this one missed the mark for me.

I really enjoyed this book and found it difficult to put it down. The storyline was good - very original. The characters were believable and I could identify with what the main character was going through, although thankfully not from personal experience! Well recommended. Would be a good holiday read.

Tell Me a Secret is another excellent engrossing story from Jane Fallon.
Holly is a script writer for a soap opera, she is promoted at work above another office member and suddenly everything starts going wrong. Scripts go missing, appointments disappear from her diary, and emails are sent from her computer to senior members of staff and some of the actors that are offensive and rude.
With the help of her friend Dee they start investigating, it’s pretty easy to identify the culprit, but not so easy to prove it.
The lengths that unfold to show the sheer evilness of the person are shocking and I did find myself becoming pretty angry. But, this story unfolds nicely with a cast of characters that add much depth and often humour.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and not wanting to give away spoilers will end this review!
