I failed to complete this book after a couple of tries - mainly because I thought the number of storylines going through it were too complicated to follow. I lost track of the names I needed to remember - and many were very difficult - and trying to remember which branch of the Russian State we were talking about - or the Iranian or or... just proved too difficult.
I am sure all the different storylines joined up somewhere but after i was more than a third of the way through the book, I still hadn't reached that stage.
A pity as I have liked some of the previous stories about Ryan, but maybe, this is one book too many in the franchise?

I must admit i do like Jack Ryan as a character and i have enjoyed seeing his development through this series. I will hold my hands u and say i have not read all the books in the series, but it is a set of books that i can jump into as and when i please and when doing so i am always guaranteed a jolly good read full of romps, danger and action. This book gives us that and even though Tom Clancy has passed i feel Marc Cameron has done a very good job of extending the story of Jack Ryan and giving us the right amount of thrills and suspense i have come to expect from this series

What a thrilling five-star read. Tom Clancy’s Oath of Office by Marc Cameron, I will be honest I was hesitant about this as I wasn’t sure how Marc Cameron was going to go about this and weather it would be as good, especially as there is so much hype now that its on Amazon Prime TV I will be honest and thought they would bow down and write something that would work well for the Tv screen but they didn’t they stayed true but brought a freshness to the Universe. With plot twists and drama a foot this is a great read that you wont be able to put down, buy yourself a copy and buy one for a friend for Christmas, they will love you for it.

Thank you to the publisher and netgalley for the opportunity to read this book. It just wasn’t for me to be honest. I gave up after chapter 3.

I had more than a few reservations when I initially heard that Tom Clancy's bestselling Jack Ryan series was going to continue after his death as the potential for it to completely ruin one of the most respected thrillers franchise of all time was rather high but actually it paid off for author Marc Cameron. You never know what to expect in this situation but you can tell that Cameron has carried out meticulous research in order to make an action-packed story that moves at breakneck speed as realistic as possible.

As always the cast of characters are interesting, there are multiple twists and turns and a real feeling of the tension ratcheting up with every turn of the page. I am a huge fan of conspiracy thrillers and this is one of the best out there. You fly through it in record time, it's definitely a one-sitting read. If you're after a fun, lighthearted but satisfying story then this is an excellent choice. I look forward to further releases.

Many thanks to Michael Joseph for an ARC.

Marc Cameron has done a really good job continuing the Jack Ryan series. It is obvious that a lot of research and thought has gone into this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book to see how the series continues.

Thank you to Netgalley for my copy.

Fast paced, with a massive load of tension in ever page, it’s a action thriller at its best . I have always been a fan on Tom Clancy and to be honest I was a little worried that after his death Marc Cameron and others wanted to keep the Jack Ryan series alive but so far so good. This is a brilliant.
With strong characters and the spy/conspiracies plot this book will keep you up at night to read in one night.

A real shame as I was looking forward to reading this book but there are letters and parts of words missing on most pages of this ebook which makes it very taxing to read.

I struggled through the first three chapters given the circumstances but I could see that it was well researched and exciting but given its length I am afraid that I gave up. My apologies as I make it a rule to review every book I am sent.

I will try and download another copy and see if it is any better.

I have now done so and the second copy also has letters (mainly "F" missing).
