This was an okay read...I found myself frustrated reading this because I found myself wanting to strangle Isabella!! She was both annoying and sympathetic. Ethan was a hero with unlimited patience. There was good chemistry but it felt like the author was going all over the place with trying to explain Isabella's reason for avoiding military men; her poor relationship with her father; etc. I was also a little surprised by how little Ethan's K-9 job factored into the plot. I was expecting more given the the series "Man's Best Friend" notice on the cover. This won't be a reread but it wasn't terrible either.

I was given a free ARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for sharing this book with me!

Isabella has sworn off military men after losing her husband to a freak accident. She’s convinced herself she’s content with her safe, albeit boring life, teaching her kindergarteners and staying single. Who knew a blind date would give her an eye opener?

Ethan has struck out more times than he cares to count in the dating world. A blind date is the last thing he really wants to do, but he gave his word and intends to keep it. Meeting Isabella and their feeling their instant chemistry revs all his buttons, but the hot and cold signals she’s sending him keeps him in a tailspin!

What detracted from a full five star review was the incessant hot and cold reactions Izzy kept throwing at Ethan! I understood her reluctance to get involved with the military, but Izzy had more double standards then anyone else in the book. She was quick to judge and jump on excuses with absolute disregard to the emotional wrecking ball she was leaving Ethan to deal with. When it was pointed out, she would immediately rush back to apologize and take blame, but good gravy, Izzy was a lesson on absolute frustration!

On a positive, when they clicked, Izzy and Ethan had chemistry in spades. Their tumultuous relationship was a battlefield of emotion that did drive me nuts, but it also kept me glued to the final outcome. I also liked how Flockton touched on some of the highs and lows of military life with Ethan and Izzy’s relationship issues. Whether it was the one being deployed or the one being left behind, there was a decent range of expression to sift through and was dealt with in a caring manner.

This book has a good formula. A heroine who’s going through the motions of life without realizing she’s locked herself away and the sexy, protective airman with a sweet K-9 partner. A tight knit, supportive group of military guys and their spouses plus a super supportive best friend who doesn’t hesitate to knock some sense when it’s needed most. Overall, I liked the read and would continue with the series.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

**I received a copy of Blind Date Net from Tule Publishing and Net Galley in exchange for a voluntary and honest review** The opinions below are mine and no solicited.

Blind Date Net by Nicole Flockton is hands down a fantastic book and I loved it. I've read Ms. Flockton's Kindle Worlds novellas before so I knew to expect a fantastic story with this book. With Ethan and Izzy's story you'll find out how it really is to be a military wife and the fear that your loved one may not come home one day. But it will be Isabella and her dad trying to mend the rift and become a family once again. I loved how Sam Ethan's K-9 partner knew when Izzy's needed her comfort the most. When he introduces her to his team mates wives at a BBQ that will give Izzy a sense of family she craves the most.

Isabella Knowles grew up as a Army brat while her dad ascended the ranks as a Special Ops soldier but when her mother left things changed between them leading to an estrangement between the two of them. But when she fell in love with Travis Knowles her high school boyfriend they were married very briefly when he killed during a training. Izzy becomes a teacher but when her dad fixes her up with a blind date (Loved the red Fedora they both were asked to wear!) it doesn't go very well. With her fear of dating a military man and the walls around her heart it will take quite a few dates before Ethan's able to break down her walls. But when he keeps his impending deployment from her it will take her best friend Meredith and Anna to show her that Ethan is worth waiting for and they can have their happily ever after.

Ethan Masters shocked his Army parents by joining the Air Force and becoming a K-9 handler going in before his unit to search for weapon and IED's. But when he makes a bet with his team mate little does he know that Isabella will be everything to him. It will take a few dates to convince her that they can be more than friends. But when he doesn't tell her about his deployment things will go from worse to very bad quickly. Will Izzy wait for him to come back in six months? Can they work through all their issues to find their happily ever after?

I am sorry, I wanted to like this book but it was so oooooo boring, like so much. I tried because a hot military guy what is not to like but it was painfully boring to me. We had Isabella who lost her husband as soon they married due to a freak accident and she hasn't been able to move on. She meets Ethan on a, yup you guessed it blind dqte. He likes her she is scared he pursues she gives inm dumps since scared then regrets..save yoyrself.

Emotions run wild in this book.

Isabella Knowles vowed she would never get involved with another military man after losing her husband just a month after they were married. Then, she was set up on a blind date with Ethan Masters. Isabella really wanted to get to know Ethan, but her fears held her back. She didn’t want to lose another loved one. When Isabella finally decided to face her fears and date Ethan, she really had to fight the feelings and memories she was having. When Ethan finally told Isabella about his next deployment, she broke up with him. Will Isabella be able to set her fears aside once and for all before Ethan leaves the country?

I really enjoyed reading this book and look forward to the rest of this series. The book held a full range of emotions that kept it interesting. The story moved along at a good pace. The characters and plot felt true to life. It was nice not to have been able to predict the final surprise at the end of the story.

If I were Ethan, I'd be weary about whether Isabella would stick around for the long haul. She's too wishy washy about them. She says that she's committed to them until something happens to change her mind. Maybe an epilogue for 6 years or more out instead of 6 months would have helped.

Isabella meets Ethan on a blind date set up by her dad. They don't get off to the best start, escpecially when she realises he is a military man - and she swore she'd never date one of those. An emotional read.

I received an ARC copy of this book from NetGalley for my honest review. This was a nice soft romance that is mostly built on the relationship between Isabella and Ethan. Due to a past tragedy Isabella did not want a relationship with someone in the military but was set up on a blind date with Ethan. Right away his military bearing was apparent but the sparks did flare. After a rough start their relationship starts to bloom but they both have some internal struggles to battle throughout the way. This was a nice quick, sweet romance. If you care about reading a story about a relationship and not just sex scenes this is a definite pick. 4.5 stars

I enjoyed this story. It was one of those can't put down til the end stories and I really enjoyed it. Izzy and Ethan two very opposite people who meet on a blind date. He is military and she is anti military because her husband was military and it got him killed. She likes Ethan a lot but she is always pulling back because of his military service.

Meanwhile Ethan is very entrenched in the military. He lives and breathes the military life and at tmes Izzy frustrated me in that I just could not see her accept the life that Ethan would offer her. I did enjoy the story but I had a hard time liking OIzzy's personailty as she constantly seemed to not know what she wanted.

This book is the start of a new series by Ms. Flockton.
K-9 Master Sergeant Ethan Masters encounters elementary school teacher Isabella/Izzy Knowles when the shopping mall she’s at is being evacuated and he’s helping local law enforcement in the process.
Little did they know they would meet again in a blind date. The attraction is immediate but it seems they are constantly saying the wrong thing to the other one. When Izzy realizes he’s military, she wants nothing to do with him. Izzy has vowed to never date a military man again. She’s already been deeply hurt.
When they give dating another try, it was obvious to anyone that they were falling in love but too many obstacles were in their way. Especially, those created by Izzy were a big boulder.
As much as I absolutely loved Ethan, Izzy was harder to like.
That said, the story had an engaging plot with interesting characters and a glimpse at the life of those in the military as well as the ones they love and leave behind during deployment. A reminder that w , as a nation, and as individuals , need to take a moment and thank these brave men and women who put their lives in danger for our freedom.
I was entrusted a copy of this book by Netgalley and Tule Publishing. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

I received an arc from Netgalley. Izzy and Ethan’s story is beautiful and touching. Set up on a blind date these two learn about trust, openness and honesty. Ethan is the strong protective type and Izzy has a beautiful yet strong spirit. These two decide maybe it is better to be apart because the circumstances were just too hard but they soon find out being apart makes them miserable and they would rather spend as much time together as they can than not spend anytime together at all.

Beautiful story.

Ethan's girl is a sassy little thing, "the sunglasses lowered, and a flash of blue ice glared at him. “Are you quite finished with your perusal? Do I pass muster? Or do I need to work on something?” Ethan tends to jump to conclusions at times, "immediately he went on high alert. “What’s wrong? Are you in danger? Have you called 9-1-1? Don’t move. Give me your coordinates and I’ll be right there.” I liked this book, I fell in love with Ethan.
