An overlong story about an extremely unlikable boxer from the French projects rising to fame. It's the same story you've seen in Rocky with nothing new to add except the guy is a grade A ass. Some things are really unclear as to why their happening. The art is fugly. Give this a pass.

Although I could see the potential in this text, I was not able to sustain my attention and finish the narrative.

An over-long boxing story, with the only real distinction being that it's an annoying punk from the Parisian banlieues that's the main character. Better perhaps if you're into that sort of thing – I'm not in the target demographic.

'Rage' with art and story by Baru is a graphic novel about a guy in a working class neighborhood who makes the big time.

Anton Witkowski, nicknamed Witko, grew up in the projects in Europe. He wants out and he wants money. The way out for Witko is through boxing, but that's not what his dad wants for him. Witko does it anyway. This story is about his rise to fame and the scandals that followed. There are deceitful friends and crooked promoters. Witko finally decides to come back to his old neighborhood.

The story and art are garish, but seem suited for the story. Anton is not a likeable character, but I found things I liked about him. The plot felt pretty standard up to a point, then took some interesting turns.

I received a review copy of this graphic novel from Europe Comics and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this graphic novel.

Rage, it has passion, plot, a decent story, and good art, however, it just wasn’t for me. It just felt like something was missing. With that said, I’d recommend it to those looking for a decent boxing story or looking to try something new.

Interesting story about a young man who becomes a boxer against his father's wishes.

He makes it big and becomes successful, leaving behind family, friend and the 'hood' he grew up in but years later he finds himself framed for a crime he didnt commit. And the hood, family and friend rise up to fight for the freedom of somone who has always been their's.

This is a good story with great artwork. I didn't get all the nuances of the story because I didn't understand the ins and outs of boxing politics, but it is still a gripping story with gripping characters.
