This is book number 8 in the I heart series. I've read the first part three years ago, where Angela is just coming to New York and meeting Jenny Lopez for the first time. I couldn't remember if Alex was one of the guys she is dating back then, but apparently he is.

Now she is his wife, mother of their cute daughter Alice and about to re-start her career as a journalist. Altogether they are living a rather posh life that reminded me of the Sex and the City girls. Add to that a certain clumsiness of Angela (crushing three phones in like 2 weeks time!!) and her stunning ability to invite trouble at every possibility that somehow reminded me a bit of shopaholic Rebecca Bloomwood.

I liked the parts of the book that took place in New York (and also the tiny bit in the UK), but the middle part about their trip to Hawaii was just weird from beginning to end. The whole set-up was unrealistic (why Angela is going there in the first place, what they are doing there to spend the time...), and full of ridiculous slapstick moments that made me rather cringe than laugh out loud. And apart from Angela, no one was characterized in a way so that I could really picture her or him. They were only names to me, sometimes along with a profession like actor or best girlfriend from childhood. True, there are 6 books in between that I haven't read, and maybe they are described in there meticulously so that the knowledgable reader knows them already. Still, for me they stayed flat.

That being said, I would still be curious to try previous books from the series. Even more so since I already have 5 more of them already. After all, they are cute and Angela is a likable character.

I was a little disappointed by this, I felt the story was dragged out, and slightly boring, unlike the others in the series. It was funny in places, and the romantic side was there, but could have been a Iot shorter. Don’t be put off by this one, the others are funny, move, and well worth reading.

Happily married Angela, just returning to work after maternity leave, agrees to accompany Jenny on a PR trip to Hawaii to promote a new mascara, leaving Alex and his mum in charge of baby Alice. What she doesn’t realise until they reach the hotel is that this break actually involves numerous games and team challenges. With exclusive parenting group The Mothers of Brooklyn chasing her for membership, and new boss Paige watching her every move, the trip is never going to end well.

Having enjoyed earlier books in the series, I was eagerly anticipating this next instalment. However, it took a while for the story to get going for me. I think the fact that Angela and Alex are now married with a baby takes away some of the romance of the story. The Hawaiian adventures were too ridiculous for me and didn’t really add much to the plot. Once they returned to New York, though, I found the interaction between Angela and Jenny lifted it back to where I had expected it to be.

This book is about friendships and the challenges of keeping everybody happy. Overall, a good tale, even if it gets a little lost in the middle.

Let me tell you guys a story.

A few (make that a lot) of years ago I was on holiday in a country that was hotter than hades. Also it was one of the most boring places I’d ever been to. So boring that the book I packed to last me the whole week was read in a mere twelve hours. And so began my search for a new book in the English book shop near the resort. I picked up a new release called I Heart.... New York. And that’s how the love affair began.

Over the last decade I have devoured every single one of Lindsey Kelk’s books but Angela Clark will always be my first love.

In typical Angela style chaos ensues when her best friend and total legend Jenny Lopez (no not that one) invites her on a weekend to Hawaii as part of a press trip. Reluctant to leave dishy musician hubby Alex and their baby Alice, Angela eventually agrees and what follows is utter bloody perfection.

The island setting itself is beautiful and we get to see the whole cast of characters we have come to know and love over the last ten years who are still as wacky and brilliant as ever, including my personal fave James Jacobs the GBF.

When Lindsey announced that this would be the final I Heart book in the series I was bereft and entered a period of mourning. It took me a while to pluck up the courage to actually read this knowing it would be the last but in the end I’m glad I did. Lindsey has given Angela and the gang the most perfect send off and I couldn’t have asked for more.

I heart you Angela Clark, I heart this entire series and I heart Lindsey Kelk forever ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Thank you to the publishers and NetGalley for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

Having read the entire 'I Heart' series, I was so excited to read the latest addition! As soon as I started reading the book it felt like no time had passed and I was once again reunited with old friends. With humour and warmth, we follow Angela and Jenny on their latest adventure (and all that ensues)...to Hawaii! This book has all of the Lindsey Kelk trademarks: wit, authenticity, vivid descriptions, down-to-earth characters, and belly-laugh moments! I also love the subtle nods to Lindsey's other books as an extra something for those who are loyal fans! Whether you've read all of the 'I Heart' series or whether this is your first 'I Heart' book, it is sure to capture your hearts as you fall in love with Angela, Jenny and the whole entourage!

After reading the previous books about Angela,Louisa and then Jenny this is the almost perfect ending although I would be happy if a new book was published every year I love these books
This book sees Angela happily married to Alix and baby Alice in tow and bizarrely working for Cici who used to work for Angela??
And Angela is trying to do it all work look after a baby and be the wife of a famous rock star and then she gets invited to a freebie holiday to promote some mascara from one of Jenny's biggest clients, the owner of which just owns an island in Hawaii. What could go wrong?
Not spoiling it but there are lots of beautiful clothes, gorgeous villas, cocktails, runaway horses and a secret garden
Want to know what happens next ..........buy the book for one of the best summer beach must have books.

Many thanks to Harper Collins and Netgalley for the ARC of I Heart Hawaii in exchange for an honest review.

I eagerly awaited this book with a sense of trepidation and sadness at the knowledge that book eight in the I Heart series was going to be the final book. We have seen the main protagonist, Angela Clark really develop over the last ten years since she ran away to New York. My worry was that I would be unhappy with the ending that I knew was coming, and I have to admit the prologue at the beginning of the book had me very worried.

In this book, Angela is juggling motherhood, friendships and a return to work following maternity leave, and when she gets the opportunity to go with Jenny to Hawaii for a few days, she leaves her baby with Alex and heads off on her latest adventure. Nothing ever goes completely to plan when Angela is involved, so there were some truly laugh out loud moments within the storyline. It was lovely seeing the regular characters from the I Heart series, but it was also lovely to see crossover characters from other books by Lindsey Kelk as well as cameo appearances by characters from other authors’ books.

I’m not going to expand on the storyline, because quite frankly you need to read this! I should not have worried about how the arc from I Heart New York, through Hollywood, Paris, Vegas, London, Christmas and Forever, all the way to Hawaii was going to end, because Lindsey Kelk found the absolutely perfect ending to everything. I’m not going to lie, this really was an emotional rollercoaster of a book; I laughed, I cried, and at the end I wiped my tears happy in the knowledge that everything had gone the way it was always meant to go.

I honestly would not recommend that you read this book as a standalone, you really need to work through all of the books in the series to truly get the full I Heart experience, but you certainly won’t regret doing so!

Thank you Lindsey, for your characters and the wild ride you’ve given us since 2009. I can’t wait to see what you do next, because I just know I’m going to love it.

I Heart Hawaii was WOW, just WOW. I loved it and a great ending to the I Heart books. It felt like I came back home catching up with the characters and I could not put it down. Have a read you will not be disappointed.

I don’t think I’ve ever read a book by Lindsey Kelk where I haven’t laughed out loud multiple times and this was no exception. I honestly have to say I think this is one of my favourite series of all time and it makes me so sad that we’re not going to get to see Alice grow up and all the other fabulous things happen to Alex and Angela and Jenny and Mason. I demand more!! thanks to Netgalley, the author and HarperCollins for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for an advanced copy of ‘I Heart Hawaii’. I was so excited to receive this as Lindsey Kelk is one of my all-time favourite authors and this has definitely been my favourite series of books that she has written.

I have been following the adventures of Angela, Jenny, Alex and James for the past 10 years and have thoroughly enjoyed each and every one of the books and wow, this final instalment definitely doesn’t disappoint.

I absolutely loved this book from start to finish and didn’t want the story to end. As with all of the “I Heart” books, this story is full of fun and adventure and, surprisingly, characters from her other books make an appearance which was great.

There are plenty of hilarious moments and everything you expect from the crazy characters but it also includes some sensitive, heart-warming moments showing the depth and strength of true friendships.

Lindsey, I know this is the last in the series but can’t you find a way to write just one more?

As a big fan of the I Heart series I had high hopes for this book, and I'm so pleased to say it didn't disappoint! Angela's antics in Hawaii were hilarious and full of drama - as usual! Having read these books from the beginning it's so nice to see the character development not just in Angela but also from other characters like Jenny and Louise. It was as funny and well written as the rest of the series and was a fantastic farewell to Angela and her friends. It was also full of little references to other authors and their characters which I thought was really cool I'm so sad this was the last in the series but I love the way the ending brings it all full circle.

Thankyou to netgalley and Harper Collins for my ARC in exchange for my honest review

This is a wonderful end to a fantastic series, for sure the end it deserves. There were a couple of confusions for me (why is Alex's mother back in his life, when throughout the series he's been sure he wanted nothing to do with them.)

Angela's mummy guilt is definitely understandable and relatable. I'm so glad Angela has grown throughout the series, and I loved having been there to grow with her. In contrast, I felt Jenny has had the least character growth throughout these eight books, and I don't always love her or her impulses and choices.

I'm sad to see Angela go, but I can't have picked a better way for us to say goodbye.

I have read and loved all of the I Heart… series and was really quite sad to discover that I Heart Hawaii is to be the last book. I’m very happy to say that it lives up to all the previous books though and is a fitting finale!

In I Heart Hawaii we catch up with Angela as she starts back at work, in a new job, following her maternity leave. She also gets invited to join a top mommy group and is immediately suspicious of why they want to recruit her. Jenny then invites Angela, plus their friend Louise, to join her on a work trip to Hawaii and it’s something they can’t refuse!

I Heart Hawaii had all the elements that I’ve loved in this series – humour mixed in with the occasional poignant moment. Angela is doing great as a new mum, and is as in love with her husband Alex as ever but she’s struggling to get everything done and to get back into professional mode. Jenny is as brilliant as ever – she is quite manically trying to pull together the few days in Hawaii to maximise the press and influencer coverage so her and Angela don’t get as much time together as had been hoped. The usual Jenny hi-jinx ensue when there’s a mishap with a firework but all’s well that ends well!

The ending of this book is sheer perfection. I don’t think I’ve ever shed tears over a contemporary fiction book before but I did cry towards the end of this book. The way Angela writes about friendship is so moving and so beautiful. It made me miss my best friend all over again.

I don’t know if this book would work as a standalone as I’m so invested in the series as a whole now – I suspect you probably would need to read the other books to really appreciate this one. It’s absolutely worth your time to start at the beginning though, it really is such a wonderful series!

I Heart Hawaii was a perfect end to a brilliant series, and is one I won’t forget. I’m sure I’ll re-visit Angela and Jenny one of these days as I love them too much not to!

The saying goes that all good things must come to an end. The ending of this book is bittersweet to me. I am pleased with the ending, but sad to see the series come to an end. Angela is about to start back to work, after having her daughter. She is struggling with the same issues as a lot of working mothers. When her best friend Jenny invites her on a free trip to Hawaii. Angela isn't sure at first, until her husband convinces her he can manage with their daughter. Of course when Angela is involved chaos will reign. The donkey debacle comes to mind. I wont say any more, trust me and read it!
To get the best out of this book. I would advise starting at the beginning of the series. Thank you for a great series Lindsey Kelk. This is one you will have difficulty putting down. ARC requested from Net Galley. This is my voluntarily review

Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers, Harper Collins, for granting me this wish.

I ADORE Lindsey Kelk and her writing in general but especially the story of Angela Clarke, Jenny Lopez and the gang. It's been a beautiful story that has been a part of my life for a long time now and I Heart Hawaii is the eighth and final edition in the series.

I would normally start and finish an I Heart book in a day, however it took me a good couple of weeks to get through this because I was resisting coming to the end. I know Lindsey's writing is amazing and I have ever faith in her that she will smash the ending of this series but I was nervous and also I didn't want it to come to an end. I'm not reading to see the last of Angela's new stories and the craziness she gets herself into.

However, I finally made it, and what an ending it was.

I was in tears for the best part of the last 1/4 of this book. I didn't have a picture in my head of how I wanted this series to come to an end but Lindsey still managed to smash it and surpass it. The ending brings everything to a close perfectly, leaving our favourite characters doing what they do best and I couldn't have asked for any more from this book.

Thank you Lindsey, for sharing Angela, Jenny and the gang with us and for giving us this gorgeous story of love, friendship, family, and hope. I adore the series, I adored this book and I adore you, your writing is everything and I look forward to what you do next.

I have loved all the I Heart books and I loved this one just as much and what a fabulous ending to the series..although I’m so sad it’s ended.
It’s a fun book following Angela and her friends on a trip to Hawaii. Nothing goes quite as expected, when does it ever? And you never know just what’s going to happen next.
This book made me laugh so much. Great characters that are so much fun. Easy to read. I couldn’t put the book down.
Absolutely loved it

How am I going to write a review for the last ever book in this, all out fabulous, series when I'm not ready to say goodbye? As a HUGE Lindsey Kelk fan I feel this review will be one of my more difficult posts to create as in fear of trying to give the book the justice it deserves I will go all fan-girl on you and twitter on for too long. But come on Stacy you've got this.....

Angela is, and will always be, one of my all time favourite characters to grace the pages of a book. The things that frequently fall out of her mouth make me belly laugh beyond all hope and this installment was certainly no different. The writing was hilariously honest, with a laugh a minute at the turn of each and every page. The sheer disaster zone, aka our Angela, was on fine form trying to juggle life with a new baby and a new job and as you have come to expect an almighty disaster or ten hijacks her attempts at living her best life.

The narrative was bursting at the seams with action packed life in the Big Apple along with a nifty jet-set weekend in Hawaii thrown in for good measure that had me googling flights in extreme FOMO fashion. But as with all of Lindsey's writing, this witty repertoire is backed up with heartfelt emotional threads that weave their way through the story and sneak up on you when you least expect it. This came in the form of Jenny Lopez who right off the firing blocks I noticed wasn't on fine form.....her story line melted my heart and moved me beyond all measure. But I won't delve into details for fear of giving away any spoilers.

But even though I am coming to the end of my review, I still don't believe that this is the final goodbye. The ending for me has an open feel about it and you know....never say never!!! So I will hope against all hope that Angela, Jenny and the gang will make a one off return in the future. After all it is the done thing these days to 'get back together' so if it works for Gavin and Stacey then it will work for Angela and Jenny.....just saying 😉

I Heart Hawaii is yet another perfect installment and even though I refuse to say goodbye....I will say it's the perfect 'see you later' note to end on. Well done Lindsey another one knocked out the park!

I have loved this series right from the beginning and it was Angela's adventures that led me to pluck up courage and visit New York and spend far too much money in Century 21! I am gutted that this is the last in the series and will miss Angela, Jenny and co, but as send offs go this one is as fabulous as I expected. From the beautiful setting of Hawaii, to where we leave each characters in their stories it couldn't be more perfect. I read it in less than 24 hours, no mean feat with a toddler, and it was totally worth the sleep deprivation and bribery. One not to be missed!
