Not really my sort of book, sadly. I should have known as it was billed as a 'romcom' Very light, quite fun, but there seems to be ;llittle memorable to review. Sorry.
But thank you for a review copy.

I have been with the I Heart series since the very beginning & I have enjoyed every single one of them. They’re easy to read and laugh out loud funny - I Heart Hawaii is no exception. I am definitely going to miss Angela and Jenny’s adventures - can’t believe this is the series finale. I will definitely be sticking with Lindsey’s other books to fill this void.

Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher & Lindsey Kelk for the advance copy of this book in exchange for my review.

I was really looking forward to reading the final installation of Angela’s life but actually turned the final page feeling a little disheartened.
I found Angela quite childish and frustrating throughout the series but found Kelk’s imagination too genius to put one of them down. I enjoyed the story but felt it could have ended quite happily with the previous book in the series, I Heart Christmas.
It was annoying that the title gave away the whole premise of the book when Angela was so against going to Hawaii and it all seemed a little too easy. But it is a romance novel so hats off to Kelk for using her creative licence so well here.
Without giving too much away the end of the novel was just too cliche for me. Clever in some senses but it made me cringe.
However, saying that, Kelk's humour throughout kept me giggling. She really knows how to get her protagonists foot firmly in her mouth. It was just all a little too far fetched and I was happier with the ending and it’s perfect rounded edges of the previous novel in the series.
Just one too many for the I heart series in my opinion.

We are back with Angela, Jenn, and Alex, yay!!!

I love Lindsey Kelk’s books and especially her I Heart series, so I was really excited for this book, but also sad and didn’t want it to finish, because it’s the last one.

Angela Clark is still the same old Angela, but more mature and in a different stage of life. Alex and her are parents now and was fab to see them with little Alice, especially Alex I have to say. He is a fab character and always there for Angela, just awwww. Well, Angela goes back to work and applies to be part of the top mothering group in New York. Then, Jenny comes up and invites her on a press trip to Hawaii. Angela doesn’t want to go, but in the end, she does of course. Louisa is going as well and James and Eva. We get to know some new characters, as well get to read from other series Lindsey Kelk has written.

I just love Lindsey Kelk’s books so much, so many LOL moments, great locations, lively characters and much more. The storyline in this book is very exciting and fun. It’s full of ups and down, but includes some memorable moments. The topics of friendship and love play a very important role and Lindsey Kelk did a brilliant job with her writing. It feels like being there with the characters.

The beginning of the book makes you hooked immediately and you are wondering through the story, what is behind it all. Of course, we only find out in the end.

A fabulous book, once again. Thank you Lindsey!

It took me a week to read this book because I wasn’t ready for the I Heart series to be complete. This time Angela is off to Hawaii with some friends we know from previous I Heart books, and Angela also meets characters that you’ll know if you’ve read Lindsey Kelk’s Tess Brookes series too. In I Heart Hawaii, Angela manages to get through motherhood and working in her own danger magnet way, and it’s full of funny moments (for the reader, not so much for Angela!)
The whole I Heart series I’ve been rooting for Angela and it was extremely satisfying to see the series end the way it has. If you’ve been following the I Heart series from the beginning you won’t want to miss this; if you haven’t picked up I Heart New York yet then why not? Correct this oversight immediately!

Wow what a series and journey these books have now been! In this supposed finale to the series though again I hope not, we find Angela in her new job under Cici at her new company only leaving baby Alice with Alex so she can get back into her old life with a job.

However after Jenny offers her a trip to Hawaii, Alex has an accident and the MOB/mothers of Brooklyn group, a baby parent meet up exclusive elite group push Angela to join after they find out Alex is her husband she finds herself feeling weighed down and leaving it all for Hawaii isn't easy but at least she gets to have some fun, she thinks at first...

After many activities whilst away she comes to realise she's glad to return home but the Mascara press trip does lead her and Jenny to have a heart to heart about IVF and the struggle to get pregnant, there's also a book to be written by Angela if she can as the MOBS get it arranged for her and friendship drama with Jenny after a video being made public...

This one to me had less drama at the beginning and the Hawaii trip started off quite tame and I wasn't feeling it but it did pick up with the best drama coming at the end of their trip. I'm always one to enjoy the more heart to heart moments of books not the drink parts! I loved the twist about the book Angela writes and it's title, that was super clever and full circle and does wrap up like the series is actually definitely now over, though I do hope for more novellas at least, maybe?..

Many thanks to the publishers for allowing me to review this book for them!

I have no words 😭😭
I adore this series and I love Lindsey Kelk’s writing. Angela Clark is hilarious, and in the series finale she gets the ending I had hoped for.

I can’t say much because I don’t even want to accidentally give something away, but you need to read this book or this series if you haven’t already.
It made me laugh out loud as usual and the characters were brilliant, the scene setting gave me wanderlust as usual too!

I didn't realise that this book was a light, very modern, romance. Not my cup of tea at all, my bad in requesting it. I DNF'd on 10%. I will leave three stars as it's not the author's fault I chose the wrong book.

This was an entertaining story with some great characters and a fast moving storyline. The interactions between the characters was hilarious at times and sad at others., but never boring or mundane. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story and I do love happy endings.

Having read all of the I Heart books I was really looking forward to reading this one and it more than lived up to expectations.

When we left I Heart Forever, Angela was on the verge of giving birth. In this book, she is just returning to work as a new mum. When best friend Jenny invites her on a trip to Hawaii, she can’t resist and leaves Alex with the baby to set off for a weekend of fun and relaxation. However, as with all of Angela and Jenny’s adventures, the trip doesn’t go according to plan.

I’m so disappointed that this is the last in the I Heart series. I’m going to miss Angela, Alex and Jenny and all the assorted friends and family. I Heart Hawaii is the perfect end to this amazing series.

Well, Lindsey Kelk has done it again. I loved this book. It was great to catch up with Angela and all the characters we know so well, reminding me how difficult it is to have your cake and eat it’; trying to juggle motherhood with a challenging career and feeling like you are disappointing everyone, because they all want/need more of you!

Sad to be at the end of the series of the I Heart books.

I Heart Hawaii, the eighth and final instalment in the I Heart series of books and what a cracker it is. I was hooked from the first page as we were back with our favourites, Angela, Jenny and Alex. This time new mum Angela is invited by Jenny on a press trip to Hawaii which seems to be the perfect break for Angela. Of course nothing is ever plain sailing! Cue sun, sea and drunken shenanigans! I devoured this book in less than twenty four hours. Brilliantly written and a joy to read. I’m sad it’s the finale of the series but look forward to what Lindsey writes next.

Thank you to NetGalley, Harper Collins UK and the author for the chance to review.

This was a fun but rather bittersweet book for me, knowing that it is the last in a series I have really enjoyed and is the end of an era of reading for me.
We follow Angela on a 'work' trip to Hawaii along with Jenny et al and the usual mad capers ensue. We revisit other characters (some from her other series) and where their lives are now and we have the drama that goes along with Angela's everyday life. I found myself laughing aloud at certain moments and cringing at others.
Lindsey Kelk knows how to write comedy moments and I shall miss reading about Angela (hopefully we may see her/Jenny etc pop up in future books)
This was hovering between a 4-5 stars but it felt like a fitting ending to the series and I read it so happily in a day 5 stars won out.
Thank you for introducing me to Angela and helping me to realise its fun not being perfect.

I remember reading the first of this series, I Heart New York way back in 2009, as a new mum to two, desperate for a little escapism, and it was the perfect companion to sleepless nights as the baby woke.

Over the years, I have read each of the sequels, and the Jenny novellas, enjoying each and every one.

I was delighted to have been granted a wish by the publishers for a chance to receive a copy of I Heart Hawaii in advance.

Sadness at the fact it was the last in the series though.

Angela, Jenny, Alex, James et al have been my companions for a long time, and what a way to say farewell!

Leaving her 10-month-old, Alice, at home with rock god hubby Alex, Angela steps into a new role, with Cici, her initial nemesis, as her boss.

Things are never as simple as just 'starting a new job' for Angela Clark, though.

Familiarising herself with a new workplace, ethic and possible extra new boss is not easy when she is tempted away by Jenny, on a trip of a lifetime with all her favourite people to Hawaii.

Of course, she has to go, with the grudging consent of Alex, and spends five days partly intoxicated, partly paranoid, and wholly hilarious!

Add in the MOB, fertility, in-law/out-law wars and some skirmishes with the NYPD and you have the average few days of Angela's life!

I can't give things away, but suffice to say I was a little jittery after reading the prologue... what was going on in the life of AC? Was there no more I Heart...?

But I needn't have worried. Lindsey Kelk takes us on a fantastically twisted, hilarious journey towards an epically wonderful conclusion.

Will I miss AC and the I Heart collective? Absolutely! But what a way to finish!

Many thanks to NetGalley, Harper Collins and Lindsey Kelk for providing me with an arc in exchange for an honest review.

I’ve read all of Lindsey Kelk’s previous books and would have said I prefer her stand-alones to the I Heart series right until the moment I was a few pages into this and thinking how amazing it was to be back with an old literary friend in Angela Clark. This is slightly different to the previous ones are thing as we are now dealing with an older though certainly not wiser Angela who has altered so much from the distraught twenty something who plunged into New York in the first book but not in a negative way. This is the mature (well, as near as you’re gonna get) Angela now balancing life as a wife, mother, friend and worker. I think it was a great idea from Lindsey Kelk to remove Angela from her responsibilities to give her a few final days as her funny, mad, irresponsible and totally lovable self in Hawaii to round up the series. I had assumed I Heart Forever would be the final book but Lindsey has done a great job squeezing one last story out Angela, Jenny and it’s definitely as good if not better than it’s predecessors. A must read for all I Heart Fans, sad to see end but how could Angela and Jenny fail to go out in anything but style?!

I was so excited to receive the final instalment in the ‘I heart’ series and I was not disappointed. The reader is reunited with Angela, Alex and Jenny as Angela returns to work following the birth of her daughter.
The book centres on a ‘work trip’ to Hawaii and we are witness to Angela’s usual mishaps and challenges including two broken phones, a bruised bum and a fire!
As always the characters are well written and the storyline is engaging constantly leaving you more.
I’m gutted this is the last book in the series but Kelk has done a fabulous job in tying up a lot of loose ends and providing the perfect ending to a perfect series. Thanks so much for letting me read in exchange for a review!

Lindsey Kelk is one of the funniest, most refreshing, relatable writers I've read in years. The I Heart series is a triumph of women's fiction, now 10 years old and still so relevant to women of all ages. I first came across the series in my early 20s and it's with great sadness that I say goodbye to Angela and friends!

I Heart Hawaii is a fitting tribute to the life Angela built, the friends she's made along the way, and most enjoyably for me, her star-studded career. I love that even though Angela is 'the face of having it all', having edited her own magazine and written extensively during her glamorous life in New York, she is still as real and raw as the rest of us. Kelk's writing is so wonderful because as a reader, you accept that each of the characters are flawed in their own unique ways and sometimes this annoys the hell out of you, but isn't that what life is all about?

I won't spoil I Heart Hawaii for you, but let me tell you, the beginning and the end are gut punches, there are loads of beautiful real moments throughout (particularly with regards to her family), and whilst I'm sad to wave goodbye to this cast of tremendous characters, it absolutely feels like the right time and the right way to bid them farewell.

Thank you to HarperCollins Publishers and NetGalley for a free ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Oh my goodness this is a series that delights me everytime I see there is going to be a new one. I always think to myself what could possibly happen for Angela and Jenny this time and each book they have such an adventure and like previous this is jam packed with drama. Reading the I heart books always puts a smile on your face they are pure feel good material you can't help but grin and chuckle throughout. Love Love this book! It has an absolutely stunning cover too!

Oh this is like the final series of Friends, you know it's coming but you don't want to admit it. I wanted to read this in one go, but I also wanted to make it last, but in the end I had no choice, Angela's adventures kept me reading on....

Angela is her usual hilarious self - if not slightly unsure of who she is any more after adjusting to mother hood and then returning to work - a situation many woman can identify with.

Thankfully her bestie Jenny Lopez is on hand to give her one last adventure before she bows out....and not only that but James Jacobs, Hollywood star who was outed by Angela in a previous adventure and her long term official best from the UK, Louisa are going on the trip -to Hawaii.

Leaving Alex at home, holding the baby, but we all know Alex is a good egg and won't mind (much!)

I love Angela's adventures and the ending although bittersweet made you think, well, it couldn't have ended any other way.

I will miss Angela's escapades, but the beauty of the I heart series, is they are the literature equivalent of friends, we can dip back into them at any time and I certainly will be!

Well if it had to end, that was the way to do it. This was the final installment of Angela's story which began in I heart New York. Omg it was so bittersweet and I have never had such a reaction reading a book. I was so desperate to read it, yet I was so scared because I did not want it to end. It wasn't helped by an omnius prologue but Lindsey did what she always does and weaves a tale that sounds like it's a group of friends chatting about life.

Angela is coping with being a working mum and I think the book portrays what it is like for a modern mum trying to hold down a career and all the insecurities you experience as a first time mum. Jenny offers Angela and her friends a 3 day trip to hawaii which of course as Angela does, she gets in to one or two scrapes. The cast of supporting characters is amazing and it was so good to see some familiar faces and I had a smile or two when they appeared in the story.

Overall this was a perfect end to a fab story all about friendship, finding yourself, reinventing yourself, love and growing up. I loved this story and I hope we hear from them again one day soon.
