Who Killed Ruby was a fast paced enjoyable read and I completed it in one sitting not even moving to go to the toilet...I needed to know what happened which is a sign of a great thriller book!

Three stars because I thought Camilla was giving red herrings to the murderer but was obvious!

Well I just flew through this book it was just so damn good I couldn’t put it down and I read it in just over a day ignoring all the things I should have been doing !!
Secrets, twists and lots of suspense I was gripped and just wanted to know what was going to happen and don’t you just love a book that when your not reading it you are thinking about it, well this was one of those. I won’t rehash the plot because I would just say get this book and just start reading because it really is a compulsive read and one not to be missed, Camilla Way you are one hell of brilliant writer.
My thanks to NetGalley and Harper Collins UK for giving me the chance to read the ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

When just a child Viv lost her sister Ruby. She was murdered. Thirty years later Viv must relive the past to save her daughter Cleo. This book just got better and better and I certainly didn’t see the ending coming. Fabulous read

Full of suspense, it is very difficult to put this book down as you just want to find out who did kill Ruby? I love the way the start is returned to at almost the close of the book. The story has come full circle having taken us on a journey of discovery. Lots of red herrings scattered throughout the route, and although I suspected who the guilty party was near to the end, there were still enough unanswered questions to keep me on the edge of my seat, unable to stop reading and desperate to know the 'whys' behind some of the characters' stories.
It is difficult to describe the plot in a way that doesn't spoil it. Did Jack Delaney kill Ruby? He did spend 30 years in prison for the crime. Vivienne Swift embarks on a search to uncover the truth when on the anniversary of Ruby's death she is sent a box containing some partially dead irises, Ruby's favourite flower. As Viv searches we meet and learn about her mother Stella, the commune where Viv was raised, her own daughter Cleo and various friends who all have a part to play in this tense psychological thriller.
Highly recommend this read.

You have to move on from the past or it will consume you. But something in Viv’s past was untrue and now it’s coming to haunt her with a vengeance.

I was enjoying the twists in this tale of murder & retribution until the ending which I thought was slightly predictable. But overall it was an engaging read.

This thriller starts with three people stood around a dead body.

This was such a good book.

Upon the beginning of the book, we do not know why the people are stood around the body, what they are doing there and what the relationship is with the people.

The novel then goes on to explain the story of "Who Killed Ruby?".

The book was brilliant. There were a lot of twists in the plot and I thoroughly enjoyed this.

I have read all Camilla Way's other novels and enjoyed them all. This one did not disappoint.

A tension-packed read that I raced through, not quite believing my thoughts but determined to find out what happened.
The story begins with two women discussing a body on the floor, waiting for the police to come. All we’re told is he’s the man who killed Ruby.
We then shift to a time period a little earlier where we learn about the brutal murder of Ruby, Vivienne’s sister, when she was 16. Vi’s testimony put Ruby’s boyfriend in jail, and although Vi has always had a niggling doubt about her recollection of that day things seem quite straightforward. Then Vi starts to get reminders and notes that she believes to be from the man convicted.
Alongside us learning the details of Vi’s past we watch her try to get on with life now. A new relationship, and settling into life with close friends. We see her young daughter, Cleo, excited to be receiving texts and emails from a young boy she met online. Of course there’s more to this than meets the eye.
There’s a lot packed into what is quite a short read. It does mean that things happen rapidly, and don’t always make sense at the time.
By the time we get told what actually happened and some of the loose ends are tied up, I was rather taken aback but also annoyed that so many chances to change events were ignored.
Thanks to NetGalley for the opportunity to read this prior to publication in exchange for my honest opinion.

# who Knew killed Ruby’s Baby # Netgalley
Now this is a bit of a strange one to review. I didn’t find it gripping as much as this authors other bugs. Yet at the same time I was intrigued. It wasn’t a book that I struggled to put down either. Yet I was keen to pick it back up.. it’s definitely got something however for me it was the intrigue and the storyline more so than the heart pounding previous books. So I do have to say. Overall a good book and a book worth reading. I would actually tell people to read it. There was just that little bit of something missing. I think the only word I can think of is it was missing the exiting element.

Years ago Vivienne saw Jack murder her heavily pregnant sister Ruby....or did she? The story picks up years later, Vivienne now lives with her daughter Chloe, her mother Stella runs a refuge and their lives have moved on. This book started well, but in all honesty I quickly lost interest. Half the characters felt unnecessary and the plot was stretched well beyond belief several times. The fact I didn’t like any of the characters very much didn’t help.
I really wanted to enjoy this but it didn’t engage my attention and whilst it was well edited etc the story itself didn’t work for me. I also predicted the ‘twist’ at the end. Sorry but I was disappointed with this one.

This is a Thriller that grabbed me from the first page Viv Her Mum Stella and daughter Cloe are the stars with plenty of great characters as well plus twist and turns a plenty the list of suspects grows from the start. It is fast paced all the way through so buckle up is a ride you wont be able to leave until the end and that's why I read this with very few breaks.

When Viv was 8 Her sister Ruby and her unborn child Noha due to be born in 2 weeks, where killed, as in murdered Jack served 30 years for the murder including in that 8 years for a viscous attack on another inmate. Jack has always protested his innocence and Viv had been intimidated by him and his family to tell the truth which she felt as a 8 year old she had. It was her testimony that helped put him away along with 2 other locals, one being the butcher's son who was not blessed with great intelligence or put another was not the wisest guy in town, if there were two in the room and he was one then it's a safe bet the other would have a higher IQ. Which is a shame because he seemed nice and caring and had the hots for Ruby.
Leaving am that a side this is truly a great thriller that will keep you guessing and if your like me it will have you hooked till the very end, which is brilliantly written as is the whole book

I had heard amazing things about Way's writing so I was really excited to read her latest book. The story starts in a house with three people standing around a man's dead body as they discuss what they will tell the police. From there we're taken on a journey between different perspectives as we try to answer the question: who killed Ruby?

The book definitely kept me guessing however you really do need to suspend your disbelief at times which is something I struggle with. I felt really frustrated at some of the main character's decisions, especially in regards to her daughter's safety. However it was still a fun thriller, not too challenging, that I would certainly recommend as a gripping holiday read.

A really good read, read it in one sitting. Although some way through it was possible to guess who the real murderer probably was. And the happy ending was good - gives you up that things can always work out in the end, no matter how implausible that might be. But a good read with a lot of twists and turns.

This psychological thriller has lots of interesting characters and you don’t know how relevant they all are until the last few chapters. The writing is well paced and keeps you guessing right to the end!

Vivienne's sister was murdered years ago, and Vivienne's evidence had been crucial in the guilty verdict. We join the story many years later and complicated family relationships unfold. I didn't find all of the plot or characters convincing but there were enough twists and turns to keep me reading and I didn't see the final twist coming!
