A gripping read that kept me hooked throughout. Who is telling the truth? Can anyone be believed? Great characterisation. Thanks for the opportunity to read

I had to DNF this book. I found the author didnt develop the characters enough and did more telling than showing in the narrative style.
it was a good premise and I'm disappointed as I really enjoy these types of books usually.

Without a Trace follows Lily's case through the POVs of three different women. Nova, Ellie and Clara. I appreciate how fast-paced the story is. And despite having back stories of the characters, the chapters are short and it just made me keep on reading and get to the end. Each characters also tells equally interesting stories. The mystery behind Lily is such a hard puzzle to crack, at least for me. It has me changing my mind so often on what's going on. A good, well-written thriller for sure. I wouldn't mind at all if Ellie James make a come back taking on different cases.

I enjoyed reading this psychological thriller, plenty of twists and turns throughout which keep you on the edge of your seat. The characters were interesting, the plot was great and the style of writing was perfect. It’s the first time I have read a book by this author and I wasn’t disappointed I’ll be keeping my eye out for more in the future.

Ellie James is investigating a missing child. But is she missing? Nova claims her daughter Lily is gone and that her ex might have done it but does Lily really exist? This is told through multiple povs- which ones are reliable? No spoilers.

Nothing in this book is as it seems. Imagine your child goes missing, but then the police asks the question - did she even exist? You start to question yourself. This sets the plot for a thrilling read from beginning to end! Recommended.

This was a wild ride! Told through multiple pov’s, the story moves quickly. I honestly didn’t know where the story was taking me. I would think one thing but then it ended up being something different. So, definitely full of surprises. Was this about murder, kidnapping, or something entirely different? Worth the read to find out!

With a Trace is about a little girl has gone missing.

Lily was last seen being tucked into bed by her adoring mother, Nova. But the next morning, the bed is empty except for a creepy toy rabbit. You begin to wonder if this little girl ever existed? All the items are new and there are no pictures.

Intense thriller that had me fascinated from the very beginning. Worth the read!!

I love a thriller when you have absolutely no idea where all the craziness is going. Nova with her little girl Lily have escaped an abusive husband and arrive in a cottage for their new life. By morning Lily is gone and Officer Ellie James is called to investigate. There are no pictures of the little girl and all her possessions are new and unused. Is there really a little girl to look for? Then Nova disappears under suspicious circumstances and things get really crazy.

Unfortunately I didn’t love this one as much as I was hoping to. I liked the idea behind it and the storyline, but it fell flat for me. I can see why some people love this one, but it just wasn’t for me.

What an intense story that will have you turning the pages as fast as you can to get to the end. If you figure out the ending of the story before you turn the last page, then you are truly amazing! The book is about domestic abuse but you will be impressed with the women who are working to change this aspect of their lives. They are strong and resilient and you will be cheering them on.

This is a good thriller that will keep you up late at night to finish the book.

Thank you to NetGalley and Killer Reads for my advanced review copy. All opinions and thoughts are my own.

This was a very quick read. It was fast paced and got right to the point. If you love psychological thrillers, I'd definitely pick this one up.

Nova is in hiding with her daughter Lily after leaving her abusive husband. Lily is found missing from her bed the next morning with a stuffed rabbit left in her place. Nova calls the cops and the officer finds it strange because there are no photos of Lily and Novas husband says they never had a daughter.

Nova is hiding from her abusive husband Martin with their 4 year old daughter Lily in a dilapidated log cabin.

On their first night at the cabin Lily disappears from her bedroom and a scary stuffed Rabbit toy is left in her place, coincidentally Martin called his daughter bunny!!

Nova thinking Martin has taken Lily calls the police, officer Jame’s finds it strange that she has no photo’s of Lily and family did not know she existed, whilst Martin denies that they have a daughter. Dies Lily actually exist!!

Liked this psychological thriller that kept me intrigued, everybody seemed to have their own secrets and there is plenty of twists along the way.

I would particularly like to thank the One more chapter editions and the Netgalley website for this partnership.

I was immediately attracted by the cover of this book, in the foreground there is a red shoe on the ground and in the background in the blur like a forest.

We learn from the start that little Lily is missing, she has been kidnapped. The last time she was seen was in her room. The next day she is no longer there, only her scary rabbit toy is in her bed. Ellie James who is investigating thinks the parents are fighting for custody of the child. Except she's about to find out that the toys were never used and the clothes were never used. Wondering if the little girl really exists.

A book read in one go, so much I love this kind of thriller as captivating, moving, addictive, full of suspense and twists and turns with endearing characters.
