I'm a big fan of Katy, but this one.... I didn't finished it, too cliché, too slow (practically until 25%).
I guess I'm not in the mood, so I certainly give it another try (as a fan of hers) later...
But even then, I don't think I'll give MDD more than 3 stars, honestly....
I need more depth, I expect more from my favorite Romance authors.

Oh Devil! James "Jimmy" Rowan is hotter than hot!! Katy hooked me with the bar scene and couldn't put the book down until the end!

James Rowan is a YouTube daredevil, who will do any dare he is challenged with. He is also responsible for his younger brother since both their parents are dead. Elizabeth Banks is the only heiress to the Banks fortune. On paper these two couldn't be more different, in reality they just might have more in common that anyone would think. In private when they can be themselves and the world isn't staring.

Lizzy hires James to be the face of Banks LTD new menswear line. Jimmy is all raw, rugged, hotness no woman can resist. Lizzy included! The sexual tension between these two is enough to set an entire block on fire. Jimmy doesn't hide the fact he wants Lizzy, Lizzy will do anything and everything to fight the fact she wants him.

The build up of their relationship is hot, I mean start a fire hot!

James is an instant hit everyone loves him. Every woman in the room wants to be with him, and the men want to be him. This new success may go to his head just a little before he realizes. The scene with Charlie in the closet just broke my heart. When he realizes how much he let Charlie down.

Lizzy and James finally give into each other on a trip to LA, and man is it just as hot as the buildup was. However, when Lizzy's dad hears a rumor she is pulled from her project with James.

So when Lizzy and James end things and James realizes what he let walk away he only has one thing left to do, go big or go home!

I love every Katy Evans book, and this is no different. 5 stars to Katy and The Devil himself!

I admit I haven't read a book from Katy Evans since Real and I figured it would be great to check her out again. Sadly, though, I just wasn't thrilled with Million Dollar Devil and it almost felt like a chore to finish. I will say that I did like James and Lizzy and was happy they found their person in the other. But it was the time taken to get there that kept me somewhat bored.

The way James and Lizzy bring out the better in the other as they embark on a quest to make James the new "Banks man' and future supermodel is truly sweet. But it's the lack of detail that made this story another run of the mill opposites attract kind of romance. I wanted more of James and his brother Charlie and more depth to Lizzy and her overbearing father's relationship to fully understand the whys of their actions. There was too much left on the surface as James's transformation from 'sewer rat' to polished businessman comes to a close.

More emotion and more time exploring their inner thoughts may have tightened up the story and made me more invested in their respective journeys. I just felt as if I didn't truly get to know James and Lizzy enough to keep me interested.

Overall it's not a bad book per se, it's just one I wouldn't consider rereading or recommending.at this point.

2.5 stars.

Million Dollar Devil is Cinderfella at its best! He's clearly not from the right side of the tracks and she's an heiress beyond his wildest dreams. They are both sexy but from different worlds. She's up in the clouds and he's literally fighting "in the sewers."

Jimmy isn't the posh polished pricks of her past. He's rugged, good looking, and real. However her needs are sophisticated, regal, and fake. One makeover and a lot of tutelage and James Rowan is born. But at what cost?

I loved the chemistry between James and Elizabeth. I love how they both become someone else. I especially love his latest dare. Every hopeful romantic out there will love Million Dollar Devil!

One word hot. Two words panty melting. Either option works to describe Million Dollar Devil, whichever you choose you get a hot, panty melting read.

Lizzy Banks struggles to meet her fathers expectations. They aren’t just made of money, when you think money, you think Banks. Lizzy’s father has traditional views on what a woman’s roll is as part of a wealthy family. Those views do not involve Lizzy taking over the company. When the opportunity is available to Lizzy to find the face of their new men’s suit range she jumps at the chance to prove her father wrong and show just how capable she is of leading the company into the future. Once small problem, none of the suitable men are willing to act as the face of Banks latest line.

Looking set to fail sends Lizzy on the path to the wrong side of the tracks to James, Jimmy to his mates. A professional stuntman he will do any thing for some cash. Surely he can’t pass up Lizzy’s offer to be the new face of Banks suits. What could possibly go wrong with getting a guy from the wrong side and polishing him up? An incident with wax, and some hot steamy kisses could be on the way.

Expert
“You should’ve said what you were up to from the start.” The daredevil’s voice sounds oddly husky as he stretches his arm behind the seat, his gaze falling to my mouth as he cups my nape in his big finders.
He pulls me a little closer. I panic and put on the brakes. “Oh, No..wait. Not that. I have a business proposition for you. Business. But let’s get you cleaned up first.”
He looks at me in confusion, then glances back at my lips with ill-concealed hunger. I lick them. Once. Twice.
“You don’t want this? You seem pretty into me.” He glances pointedly at my nipples, pushing against my shirt.
“I...ah..” I try to cover my chest, and when I hear a slow chuckle, I glance back up. “Could you stop starting at my chest?”

This! Gah Lizzy & James are the perfect example of what I love about Katy Evans' work. Her beautiful words combined with these layered and complex characters in this entertaining, unique story come together so seamlessly. I am dying for more!

James is a bit rough around the edges but that's also part of his appeal. He is real, a risk taker that does what he needs to look after his brother and make ends meet. Makes no apologies for who he is. I like that about him. When Lizzy randomly discovers him her attraction is immediate and imagination gets the best of her. She is in a tight spot stuck between trying to please her father and ward off the competition and eventually take over the family business. She may have a life of luxury - but that is all material. What Lizzy needs is sustenance in her life. Can James help her achieve a victory? Can she mold James in to the face of her launch while resisting his charm, advances and sex appeal? The sizzling attraction and constant struggle between remaining professional and giving in to the growing inferno of sexual angst is absolutely delicious. Every witty word, every innuendo, every touch just stoked their attraction. All perfectly paced and executed.

What happens if they catch a case of the feels? What happens if they give in?

Can I get a James Rowan please!!!!! A handsome rugged dare devil Who does these dares on video for money. And does everything he can to protect and raise his little brother.

Lizzy works for her father and wants anything to get his approval and to prove to him she can take over as CEO when it is time. Being put in charge to find a model to be the Face Of their new ad Campaign. Everything hangs on her finding the perfect guy!!!

When she finds herself in a part of town she never has been before she goes into Tim’s bar. Where she runs into Jimmy! Where they both can’t resist the pull towards each other.

She offers him a lot of money to make him the perfect guy for the Campaign. Which can help so much with his brother and everything but he is way more interested in her than the cash. Failure is not an option for Lizzy. But can she resist his dirty talking alpha ways? Will it all explode in their faces? Book given to me by author on netgalley.

I really enjoyed Million Dollar Devil. I am obsessed with the sexual tension in this book!! Holy cow! James and Elizabeth together was like an explosion waiting to happen. I couldn't get enough of their banter and their blatant attraction for one another. Gah! So hot!

James "Jimmy" Rowan was so deliciously sexy. Unpolished yet charismatic. He made me weak in knees. I absolutely loved his relationship with his brother. It took me a little bit longer to come around on Lizzy. I wish she had a stronger backbone when it came to her father. I did come to like her eventually. Especially after she started building her bond with Jimmy.

I devoured this sexy and flirty read in one sitting. Million Dollar Devil is a prime example of why I keep coming back to Katy Evans's stories.

The title is the perfect description of the sexy and devilish handsome James Rowan.
He is now for me my TOP book boyfriend that Katy Evans has created.
He is sexy, adventurous and full of surprises that make you understand why Elizabeth Banks picked him to be her muse.
The angst and instant connection of these two characters had me well entertained that I could not this book down till I found out if the Million Dollar Devil would be everything Elizabeth wanted and more.
Plenty of steamy and sexy times that will leave you squirming in your seat.
Such a well put together story and all I could picture was James in those suits!

It pains me to write this since I have loved all the Katy Evans’ books I’ve read in the past. But, this one didn’t work for me at all. I couldn’t connect with the story from the beginning. And I absolutely hated both main characters, but especially Lizzy. She was just awful. I thought her reasons for everything she put into motion were terribly wrong. Ultimately, I just couldn’t get over these things and could not finish the book.

Million Dollar Devil
By: Katie Evans

📚💕⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💕📚

Can something real happen on lies?

Well let me start by saying I really enjoyed this book and it kept me engrossed throughout. I really loved the characters and the way they interacted with each other. This is a fun, hot, romantic must read book and I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.

Authors Blurb: Heir apparent to her father’s company, Lizzy Banks needs a man. The perfect man. But when the rich “fundbabies” she usually rubs shoulders with prove impossible to hire, she takes a chance on a raw beast of a man salvaged from the wreckage of a bar brawl.
James Rowan earns a modest income as a YouTube daredevil, but he can’t refuse Lizzy’s million dollar deal. As she polishes his rough edges, creating a sophisticated gentleman fit for the highest circles of society, not only does she bring out the perfect man—it’s like she’s making the man of her dreams. How can she resist?
Though Lizzy loves seeing James in his clothes—and out of them—he isn’t the kind of man you bring home to Daddy. Her father’s disapproval and the pressure of the campaign have her eyeing the straight and narrow, but Lizzy’s finding it awfully hard to resist the devil on her shoulder…

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV my personal favorite this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.

Thanks Netgally for letting me read and review.📚💕

What do you do when you need a man? You find one. But he needs a lot of work. This is where Lizzy Banks found herself. Lizzy need to approve to her father that she can handle the family business. Lizzy finds James Rowan for the new men’s lines. Problem is he is hot, but he need some working on to get him ready. James is always looking for a way to make money. So Lizzy has offered James a million dollars if he can help her pull this off. Off the bat you can feel the sparks coming off the page, but this is work. These two keep the back and forth fun and very flirty. This is a great book by Katy Evans. I always enjoy her books.

Ahhh! Katy Evans has given me another alpha to love! Jimmy is irresistible and irreverent. A brawler and a daredevil, he's rough around the edges but has a huge heart. When beleagured heiress Elizabeth stumbles into the bar where Jimmy holds court, she sees a glimpse of the perfect man buried beneath his gruff exterior. And that perfect man is the key to solving all her problems...

This is a wonderfully modern spin on Pygmalion. It's a rags to riches kind of story with a delicious amount of passion and emotion. Liz and Jimmy/James have incredible chemistry. She doesn't stand a chance at keeping their relationship all work/no play. Swoon....

I loved the depth and layers of each character...their life-hardened exteriors concealed hidden vulnerability. I loved getting to know them as the story unfolded, and as they figured out what truly mattered. I'm giving all the stars to the devil and his heiress!

This book is EVERYTHING!! I can't remember the last book I read this fast because I needed to know what was happening. I literally had it open on my Kindle and phone non-stop until I finished it. This is not a read a chapter or two kind of book before bed. Katy Evans and such a talent for creating these strong characters both make and female that not only feel so real, but that you can't help but want everything to work out for them because they deserve it. I wanted nothing more than for Lizzy to win her dad's approval and be next in line for his business, for him to see her worth. I wanted James to get the money from his agreement with Lizzy because he truly needed it.

The chemistry between these two was off the charts. I couldn't wait for them to give in! This is a book that everyone needs to read. Now I just the next book...like yesterday.

Million Dollar Devil by Katy Evans is Book One in the Million Dollar Series. This is the story of James Rowan and Lizzy Banks.
Lizzy is just 25 years old but she wants to prove herself in working to take over her father's men clothing company. When she happens to enter in to a seedy bar where she meets James. James is a daredevil who makes money doing dares. Lizzy finds him instantly hot and that he just maybe what she needs to help her issue. Rating 3.5

I first have to say generally I like Katy Evans books but for some reason I had a hard time with Million Dollar Devil.'s two main characters Lizzy and James. I think the back and forth between them started to feel stale and I felt Lizzy seemed like she was 18 and not 25 in some of the things she said and did. I also had a hard time with the conflict during the last 3rd of the book it didnt make a lot of sense. That all being said I did enjoy getting to know James and his back story, especially his relationship with his younger brother. To me that was the best relationship in the story.

All in all like I said Million Dollar Devil was good and I am looking forward to book 2 in the Million Dollar series.

Katy Evans has forever ruined me when it comes to book boyfriends.

I loved Million Dollar Devil. James is a different kind of character. He's a bad boy, which Katy writes so good, but he's a daredevil bad boy, which is new. The chemistry is off the charts between him and Lizzy, from the minute they first meet.

Lizzy needs someone to be the face of the new line of suits for her dad's company. She's offering up a cool million, but unfortunately that's not enough for the well-known gents in town. Enter in James, a YouTube personality who is known for filming his daredevil stunts. This is the perfect project, right? Take this sexy and rough-around-the-edges guy, polish him up and put him in a suit, and boom, the perfect face for the new line.  Lizzy's plan is seamless ... until feelings get tangled up in things. And that's where the fun starts.

What I enjoyed the most about Million Dollar Devil were the interactions between James and Lizzy. There is funny and witty banter, flirting, and some choice words exchanged. The relationship they develop felt natural to me, like they were just meant to connect at some point in time. I liked how James would push her buttons in just the right way. Lizzy was often tongue-tied, which kinda annoyed me a little bit, but not enough to detract from the story itself. These two are polar opposites but man oh man, do they complement one another perfectly.

As with all well-crafted characters, James has a few cards hidden up his sleeve that are surprising and endearing. He's a bad boy on the outside and a sweet, gentle soul on the inside, and I enjoyed the moments when that sweetness and vulnerability slipped through.

This plot is unique, characters are great, and there was a good balance of flirtiness, angst, drama, and romance. I was able to read this book pretty quickly and, as with every Katy Evans book, I was craving more and more the further along I got. I won't give away too many details, cause I don't want to spoil it for anyone, but this is the perfect book to pick up if you're looking for a fun, sexy read this summer.

Five stars to this novel!

This was a hit and a miss book for me. I liked Lizzie and James early interactions. The back and forth banter had me giggling. Loved James he is a take me as you find me kind of guy. Lizzie has been brought up by her dad and is a male dominated work environment so I was disappointed that she got so tongue tied that she couldn't form a sentence at times. There were parts of the story that just seemed to drag on and on and the drama at the end just seemed unnecessary.

Although this book didn't wow me I'll still be looking out for the next book from this author.

I should of listened to my girl. She knows when something will or won't work for me and this just didn't even come close. I should have kindly begged off after requesting. I shoukd have DNF'd. I should have never even opened the book.

James, you hands down made this book. Sorry I had to give it such low stars, dude.

Elizabeth, you hands down suck. I couldn't find anything about you that was likable. I tried. And there were moments I thought you'd break through that wall, but then you opened your mouth...

P.s. I would take hanging with the "garbage" and "sewer rat" any day if the week over your pretentious, snobby ass.

As other reviews have stated, the repetitiveness became quite monotonous. So much so I started skimming. I didn't miss out on much; no matter where I landed it was the same ol' same ol'-prettying up the "gutter trash" and will they or won't they.

I don't get what Jimmy saw in Lizzy but the chemistry was there when Elizabeth wasn't fighting it or acting better than James.

Anyway, I would not recommend. If you want to read Katy, start with Real. One of my all time favorite books.

3.5* This story was fun and light and I enjoyed it. It was sexy and sweet and the hero is definitely swoony. I was not as much a fan of the heroine in this story. However, I had a lot of fun reading this book and I love Katy's writing. I can't wait for more from her.
