Not a bad tale, but not great. The formatting was confusing. The book was broken into several books, but the chapter numbers and the story were continuous from one "book" to another. So many elements were added as the story went along that things felt rushed. The concept was good and I liked the characters, but not all the elements were fully developed or explained. Some things came out of nowhere.

Interesting concept and well formed characters. Lots of twists and turns! Parris never wanted to accept that she was different. She now owns a bar and when Ty , lawyer and hunter of rogue witches, enters her whole life changes!

Taking down the Council will take the combined power of Parris, Ty and their allies. And danger may be closer to home than they thought.

This 3 book set takes us on an adventure as Parris learns of her heritage as a witch. Her power has been hidden by a well-meaning grandmother who sought to protect her after hear parents died an untimely death. Parris meets Ty, a witch hunter, whose job is to take rogue witches to The Council. The couple form alliances with others and work together to keep all safe. I enjoyed this book and the characters. It would have been good, although much longer, to have more character development but that certainly leaves more for additional books.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Author Collective 20 for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. First time reading this author. I believe this is a bundle three parts of a story combined. The transition between the parts did not flow, it was quite awkward. I felt like sections were missing. I liked the characters. Parris and Ty were interesting. The world felt awkward, but I liked most of the story. I rated it a 3.

First off I liked all the characters in this story. I also liked the world where this takes place. There are witches, warlocks, fairy’s, trolls and ghosts; all of them were fun.. There was plenty of romance and sparks but also treachery and forgiveness. I was glad that Parris whose parents were gone and only grew up with her grandmother was able slowly build up her support system into a family that works towards good. There were some minor glitches in syntax and mistakes in wording but a good editor could fix them easily. All in all, I liked this and will probably read more in this series. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing an ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

3 1/2 Star Review.....

Saving Parris was my first read by Lynn Collins and I found this trilogy to be action-packed, sexy and a fast read too. The plot showed promise and the overall world building was satisfactory, the characters however were clichéd and lacked some originality. Magic and mayhem were definitely the norm for this series and it did improve as the stories progressed. So while it wasn’t the best series around it was an easy, yet predictable read, that I’m sure many readers will enjoy.

Thank you NetGalley and Author Collective 20 for this arc.

This was a fast read for me with lots of action. Got a little steamy here and there, but the soft porn didn't detract from the story. I found the characters a little flat and stereotypical and predictable. While there was lots of action happening, there wasn't much else. A nice, non-challenging read.

2.5 stars

Parris owns a bar and learns she is a witch. Ty is a lawyer and goes to Parris’s bar looking for rogue witches but finds Parris. Ty Is a warlock and a hunter. Her grandmother put a spell on them so they’d forget they were witches. Someone is set on destroying Parris but Ty will protect her and help her as she learns how to be a witch. They are sent on a journey to find out where the other Coven is, they have been hiding for years and is wanting to take The Council down.
A little sex, a lot of witchcraft, and surprises. I honestly didn’t think I’d like this book but the more I read, the more interesting it got. This was the first time reading this author and it was good. A couple of times the characters intersections between each other was a little unbelievable. But I’m glad I read it.

Unfortunately for me, I just didn't really enjoy it. The blurb for this was interesting and seemed similar to other books I've liked, but this just wasn't for me. I would read it, but I would just feel so out of place. Things just weren't clicking with me, and I ended up finding myself thinking of picking up something else to read. I know there are people who will live this, but that person isn't me.

This is a new author for me and I really enjoyed the book. There’s adventure, romance, suspense. Once I started reading I couldn’t stop until the end. Looking forward to the next adventures of Parris and her family.
