A great book by Karin Slaughter that had me hooked in the first chapter, great characters. Whilst reading this book I felt like I was running along beside them, the anguish, the fighting and the emotion. It all jumped from the page and kept drawing me further in.

I stayed up late one night to finish it as I just could not put it down, I wanted to know how it could end.

A brilliant book that I enjoyed and would definitely recommend.

Really good read. This is a fast paced thriller with plenty of action. It is definitely a page turner. Sara Linton and Will Trent are brilliant characters that I love reading about.

Thank you to Netgalley for my copy.

Book nine in the Will Trent series and what a blast ...... literally!

Took me a while to get into this one but when I did, wow ..... Slaughter didn't let go. We had bombs, blasts, diseases, cult followings, alt right movements, kids and parents wired wrongly. A lot was thrown into the mix and Sarah and Will were at the centre of it all. Right where they should be!

Any fan of the series will be relieved to see the usual cast of characters. I love Will's boss and her no nonsense attitude. She can fight my corner anytime! And it was nice to see Will and Sarah's relationship going from strength, I need to see a little happiness with these two.

All in all apart from the slow beginning, I enjoyed this book immensely and hope fervently that there will be more to come. Fingers crossed!

What a riveting read, grabs you from page one and holds you tight. I read it in two sittings and devoured it, wasn’t sure what was going to happen and had me nervous to find out, full of tension and a few twists to keep you entertained, if you like thrillers you’ll like this!

First book I’ve read by this author. Found it quite gripping in parts but felt it dragged a bit for me, felt a bit repetitivewhen the same story was told from the different characters points of view

Right from the very first page I into the story. Completely and utterly gripping
. The research for this novel must have been phenomenal. Could not put this book down. It was on my Outstanding Reads Of The Year list for 2019. Going on my blog soon

While this was a good read, it is far from one of the authors best. It gets a bit repetitive in places and did become a bit of a chore, but I'm glad I was able to get through it.

Anything by Karin Slaughter is always a treat. This is a Will and Sara story. They are visiting her parents when a bomb goes off at a nearby hospital. Will and Sara rush to help and find themselves caught up in deadly danger. Sara is kidnapped by terrorists and Will has to find her and take out the perpetrators before they can unleash hell on America.
Fast-paced and thrilling, I really enjoyed this.

I was a bit confused by this story at the beginning seemed repetitive being told by two different characters Quite a lot going on and had difficulty keeping up at times but saying that it got better towards the end Not really my cup of tea but for fans of this writer its probably a must read

I love Karin Slaughter books and this one didn’t disappoint. It started quickly and carried on all the way through the book, until the end. She never disappoints. This had all the twists and turns and had me guessing all the way through. I always look out for her new books and can’t wait to read them.
My thanks to Netgalley and the publishers Harper Collins for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.

Karin Slaughter just gets better and better. This was my favourite of her books so far. Deserves to be a bestseller! Can’t wait for the next book!

It was great to be back in the world of Will Trent and Sara Linton and wow what a way to bring them back! Slaughter excels at the emotional punch with her characters. The stories are always heavily character-driven which means you are completely invested in events and during these events Sara and Will are separated as circumstances beyond their control overtake them. This is one of my favourite books of the year and I could happily read the book again, which is not something I find myself doing very often. Usually only with non-fiction books. I can't wait for the next Will and Sara book and I hope we don't have to wait too long for it.

Will Trent and Sara Linton never disappoint (which is entirely down to the imagination and skill of Karin Slaughter)

Thrilling, page turning, and actually quite terrifying.
I loved the fact that it was written twice (which could be a bit repetitive) but meant that the timeline of the story of really clear and for me made it even more tense as each plot twist and turn was clarified twice.

Highly recommended.

When Michelle is kidnapped, she seems to disappear without any news for a month. Until one day Will Trent is enjoying a quiet afternoon with his girlfriend when a big explosion happens.
As Will and Sara run to help as they are trained to they are caught up in a web of murder and horror with Michelle in the centre.
Sara is a doctor and the kidnappers seem to know this as they want to take Sara to help their community.
There is a lot going on in the book, but in true Karin Slaughter style, a very in depth book but one you can't stop thinking about.
Will Sara ever see Will again as she is encouraged to stay within the community of the invisible gang who are training for what seems like a war. Who is Dash and his cohorts?
I really enjoyed this book, but it's worth noting that you really need to stay reading, it's not a book you can scan over.

An enjoyable and engaging thriller. Sara Linton has settled back in her home town, she has a strong relationship with Will Trent developing but is still having to fend off her over protective mother. This book kicks off with a classified CDC researcher being kidnapped. A month on Will and Sara find themselves being held at gunpoint, shots are fired and Will is severely beaten - he watches helplessly with Cathy (Sara's mom) as she climbs into the drivers seat and speeds away at gun point.

Enter every government body you can think of as they start the search for the missing women and their IPA kidnappers.

The Last Widow is Karin Slaughters latest installment of the Will Trent Series. Having never read the other books in the series it is still possible to read as a stand alone book, although in hindsight I think the build up would have been better had I read the other books in the series.

The book is a thriller and is packed with action throughout. It follows the main characters, Will Trent, Sara Linton and Amanda and Faith guiding you through the story.

I love the way the story unfolds with each main character describing scenarios and locations the story overlaps with the characters thoughts and is a bit like reading from different vantage points at the beginning of the book.

Sara and Will arrive on scene of a car accident and get drawn into the middle of a gang plot, the gang desperately in need of a Dr kidnap Sara in the hope that she can help them.

The plot unravels as Sara finds herself in the middle of a forest with a religious cult. Will makes it his mission to find Sara before harm comes to her.

Book 9 in a series is probably not the ideal place to join a thriller series, but that was nonetheless what I did in this case. I enjoyed the book immensely, but it was clear to me that I was missing vital clues to the actions and thoughts of the main characters of the story.
That aside, Karin Slaughter has crafted a terrifying, but credible thriller about white supremacists with a deadly plan and the fight to stop them.
The characters are a little one-dimensional to a new reader of the series, but the story was well crafted and the development towards the climax was nail-bitingly exciting. Four big stars.
Newcomers to the series can join here but should consider reading at least some of the previous 8 books first to get the bigger picture.
