Another great thriller from K L Slater. I've enjoyed all of the books I've read so far and this one didn't disappoint. The twists I didn't see coming. Because of the subject matter I did find some parts uncomfortable but I think any book that is about missing children is going to make you feel tense. Fab book and will recommend

K L Slater always manages to take a traumatic set of circumstances and give them a couple of extra twists and Finding Grace is no exception. Everyone is a suspect at some stage and they all make entirely credible villains too. Then you discover it's not them and have to re-calibrate your expectations accordingly. The story moves along at a brisk pace, which keeps the reader turning pages, waiting for the next revelation. Another engrossing story from Ms Slater.

Another fantastic novel from KL Slater.
Full of secrets from the past which impact the present. I loved the tense feeling this book brings and the constant intrigue the author evokes through the storyline. Little Grace who goes missing during the short walk home makes you look over your own parenting and made me hug my daughter a little tighter after I’d read that chapter.

Excellent novel! Can’t wait for the next!

This is an ok modern thriller. I did expect it to be so much better. I think it just annoyed me that the storyline was mainly about the unhelpful and unlikable parents, whose young daughter had gone missing.

Dark mystery that sucks you into a different place. A nightmare where no one wants to be. Good read. Can’t put it down. Wondering where it’s going to go And which way to turn

Another decent read by K.L Slater. I have read four other books by this author and this one was good, just not one of my favorites. I tend to really like more domestic noir and she seems to favor writing about missing children, which is fine, but not always what people want to read nowadays.

Grace has recently celebrated her ninth birthday and is now insisting on walking home from her friend Olivia's house by herself. It's a five minute walk and both Grace and Olivia's fathers have agreed they will watch her as she makes her way home. After spending a day with Olivia and her family at an amusement park, Grace sets out for the short walk home, but never makes it. Lucie and Blake, Grace's parents, are devastated by her disappearance and the local police are on the job, in a very thorough way. But both Lucie and Blake have secrets they keep to themselves as they are interviewed by the police. At one point a woman in their community makes contact with Lucie and gives her some very important information which changes how Lucie approaches the heartbreaking case.

This was an excellent suspense novel. The characters were well written and the ending was original and unexpected. Strongly recommend.

I received an ARC (Advance Review Copy) through NetGalley and wish to thank them, the author K. L. Slater and the publisher Bookouture for the pleasure of reading this very enjoyable book. This review was voluntary and is my honest opinion.

Nothing good every comes from keeping secrets as we see for ourselves in Finding Grace. When the daughter of Lucie and Blake Sullivan goes missing while walking home from her friends house just down the street nobody understands how it could have happened. It took all of a few minutes for her to vanish into thin air as her dad waited in their driveway for Grace to round the bend between the two houses. When Grace doesn't appear suspicious begins to fall on her own father who seems to be keeping some secrets. Can Lucie truly trust her husband or is there something more obvious happening? When the past comes to haunt Lucie she must find the courage to face it head on or lose everything. Or will she lose it all anyway? This book is so entertaining and full of twists and turns with an ending that is sure to surprise you!

Finding Grace... the story of a little girl who just turned nine and wants to take the five minute walk home from her friends house alone. When she doesn’t turn up it turns her families life upside down and the secrets that end up being exposed will leave you turning the pages as quickly as possible to get to the end!

I have read several books by Slater and this one does not disappoint. She weaves an intricate storyline going from the past to the present but does so in a matter that keeps you engaged and eager to find out where she is leading you to. I highly recommend this book along with all of Slater’s other thrillers!

This is a story about abduction. Grace is abducted as she is on her was home from a friends house. She tries to convince her parents she is old enough to go alone. Her parents are not totally convinced so they talk with her friends parents. The two families set up a plan to watch her without her knowing. The fathers will discretely watch her on both ends without her knowledge. One of the fathers gets distracted and POOF she is gone. You now have to read to feel the emotions. and feel all the twists and turns it takes. KL Slater does such a good job pulling you in and feeling the stress. The characters are believable. The storyline flows and keeps you turning the pages until the end. It keeps you guessing on "Who Did This". I highly recommend this book.

K.L Slater never disappoints. I never have a hard time getting into these thrillers because they are so good. What first drew me to this read is the cover. The woman in it looks so lost that I had to know more about what it was all about. A missing child is a common premise in a lot of thriller books, and I've read a lot of them. Here again we have a little nine-year-old girl who simply vanished almost in front of watchful adult eyes. This is where things get very interesting. Grace is given permission to take a four-minute walk home. An innocent decision that turns into a nightmare when the little girl never makes it back home. The theme of a missing child has been done before a lot but what sets Finding Grace apart from the rest is the engaging writing style and the clever plot twists. The story pulls you right in and simply does not let go. What I loved is You get drawn into the story of Lucie's search for her daughter and the ever-changing suspects. I loved how the author created a series of possible suspects, right from the start. Every time you think you have cracked the mystery; another twist changes the course of the story. While I was able to figure out part of the story there are still parts of the story that will keep you guessing. I want to thank Netgalley and the author for my arc of this novel and apologize for my delayed review. While I finished this book in a day in February, I have had a hard time getting reviews done this year. I have no excuse other then just life happens. It doesn’t detract from what a good story this was.

Unfortunately I had a hard time reading and actually finishing this book . I found it to be long winded and actually boring. I hate giving bad reviews but I read a lot of thrillers and this just wasn't a thrill to read for me.

On the morning of her ninth birthday Grace’s parents decide to allow her to walk the 4 minute walk from her friend Olivia’s house on her own. Unknow to Grace though she will be secretly watched over by both of the girls fathers. Unfortunately the unthinkable happens when one of the fathers takes his eyes off Grace for a split second and she disappears. Then Lucie receives a message that demands her to face her past if she ever wants to see Grace alive again!!!!
Finding Grace is a fast paces enthralling read from beginning to end in the in inimitable style I’ve come to know and love from K.L Slater!

Thank you very much to NetGalley, Bookouture and K.L Slater the arc of Finding Grace my review is honest and unbiased.

This was a really thrilling story, with twists and turns. Lucie's past comes back to haunt her in the most frightening way for a parent. True page-turner!!

Fantastic read - I could not put this down, and read it in one sitting! Every parents nightmare is a missing child, but how did this happen, and more importantly...why! Who are the parents, really and what are they hiding!

Lucie and Blake Sullivan allow their 9 year old daughter Grace to make the short walk back home from her best friend's house against their better judgement. But their worst nightmare comes true when Grace does not make it home, and despite the cops best efforts she is nowhere to be found.Soon secrets come spilling out some old , some new and a few of them might be deadly.

Finding Grace by K.L .Slater novel is a fast paced , psychological thriller with great characters and a story that builds up to a twisted ending that I didn't see coming
Another great read by K.L.Slater that I would highly recommend to psychological mystery lovers

I would like to thank Bookouture & NetGalley for providing an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest and fair review.
