The fourth in the series documenting the life of Amelia Fang and her friends in Nocturnia. This story is a fun adventure in which Amelia Fang and her friends in the Rainbow Rangers head off on a trip to Sugarplum Island with unicorn leaders Ricky and Graham. The story chronicles their adventures as they find a delicious fruit on a tree that they don't realise until it's too late that the tree is cursed.

I particularly loved the unicorn characters, they reminded me of the moose characters in Brother Bear.

The illustrations made it easy to picture each character, and they were just as I imagined them to be. The story had the perfect blend of humour and mild peril

I would definitely recommend this series to young readers who are starting to explore chapter books as the large illustrations and short chapters break up the rest nicely. I will be looking out the other titles in the series to add to our school library.

Many thanks to the publishers for granting me access to an eGalley of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I love Amelia Fang! She is a funny, lovable character with great friends and a wonderful sense of adventure.

This is the 4th book in the series and it is such a joy to read. I have loved the others as well but this one has such great new friends, a delicious cursed snack and an underwater world where Amelia has a tail! What more could you ask for in a book?

Amelia and her friends are going camping for their half moon holiday. There are new badges to be achieved, new challenges set by the unicorn leaders and a curse to be broken. The Rainbow Rangers set off on their camping trip to the mysterious Sugarplum Island. There is a mystery surrounding this island as well as bright, sparkling waters. Years before everyone left the island and no one knows why....a true mystery.

Things stay mysterious as Amelia, Tangine, Florence and Grimaldi decide to go foraging for food. They find a glowing tree and begin to eat the fruit. This is where the true adventure begins! The four friends, plus Squashy and Pumpy, must find a way to get back to the Rainbow Rangers camp but they are tiny! They have shrunk!

A brilliant adventure with friends, new and old, brings an end to the curse and the mystery of Sugarplum Island!
I won’t say more as this book must be read and enjoyed!

Highly recommend! Yet another achievement for Laura Ellen Anderson!

The Amelia Fang series is adorable, so I was very excited to see that another book was coming! I adore the illustrations, especially Squashy, and find the stories to be funny light reads.

Whilst Amelia Fang and the Half-Moon Holiday isn't my favourite in the series, I did enjoy reading it. I think if I was closer to the target age group I'd love it more; some of the humour is fairly childish and unfortunately I'm an adult! That said, I really do love the series and think that the illustrations go perfectly with the stories. I can't wait to see what happens next for Amelia Fang!

Yey, everyone's favourite little vampire girl is back with a new story! This time Amelia and her Nocturnian pals are off to camp for the Half-Moon Holiday. Witty and wonderful with hilarious characters and lovely friendships. Don't save this just for the kids, everyone of every age can enjoy the fun and games. Oh, and the illustrations are terrific too.
