This is the third book in a series, and what a great way to continue the story. I don't normally read or enjoy the spy or Korean story lines, but this was masterfully done, and worth your time and effort. Recommended!

The Fifth Doctrine is the third novel in The Guardian series featuring feisty heroine Bianca St Ives, and it is even more fast-paced, action-packed and addictive than the previous two. Every time I read one of Robards books I can't help but be reminded of what a superb writer she is and such a proficient plot planner. My favourite aspect of this series, though, has to be that the main character is a strong female who bucks the trend in terms of it nearly always being men in those positions of power within the private security community. Tense and full of excitement, this is a great read. I look forward to what Ms Robards produces next; she is certainly underrated and deserves much more attention than she receives.

Many thanks to Hodder & Stoughton for an ARC.
