An absolute warm feel good book which is about love and friendship along with a trip to Tuscany, Italy.

Maisie leaves her cheater husband, works 2 jobs, wins a trip to Tuscany along with 1000£ as spending money. She takes her 2 best friends Emma and Cheryl and the three musketeers find themselves enveloped in the beautiful landscapes of Italy.

Sue Roberts has written this book with a loving hand, dipping her quilt in the inkwell of sunshine and happiness. This was a light easy breezy read which went as most such books go with laughter and romance, good food and great wine.

What captured my heart and imagination were the description of locales and nature. Sue Roberts does love Italy and that comes out so beautifully in this book. Each description was simply gorgeous. It just put Italy on my wishlist of places to go in my lifetime.

After having read and loved "My very Italian holiday" by Sue Roberts, I was really excited to read her new book "My Summer of Love and Limoncello" and wow oh wow! I loved this book so much! I read it in 3 days and I just couldn't stop reading it! I give this book a 5 stars out of 5 without any hesitation! This book is full of good vibes and good energy! I was so happy for Maisie to win this stay in Tuscany, Italy and that she was able to spend a well deserved vacation there with her two best friends. The book is so well written that I felt myself on vacation, it was like I was also there in Tuscany under the warm sun, enjoying good Italian food and good wine and limoncello. And I enjoyed visiting these nice places with the 3 friends. I also loved the romance going on in this book, such a sweet romance! And there is so much going in this book, you never get bored! That would be so brilliant if Sue Roberts would write a sequel to this book! I so want to be back in Tuscany with Maisie and Gianni! :-D

a lighthearted romance read, who would've thought you would find prince charming when you won a trip to Italy in a giveaway? Plot are way too predictable for me im sorry but it is an ok read for me .

Another delightful story from an author I really do enjoy reading.

I felt sorry for Maisie quite early on in the story, when she discovers the truth about her husband,

We then fast forward to her current situation, which leads to another amusing scene early on when Maisie quits one he jobs, in a rather public way.

However her luck is due to change with a competition with for a holiday to Tuscany, Who knew that this would be a life changing holiday for her.

From the moment Maisie and her friends Cheryl and Emma arrive in Italy, I completely fell for this book. The divine food descriptions, the sense of location, the sexy Italian men, its all just fabulous.

This is a story of love, friendship and finding new life opportunities when you least expect them.

What a lovely summery read this is, I would expect to see this on kindles poolside all over the coming months as we move into Summer Holiday season (or even wishful thinking there could be sun season,)

Thank you to Bookouture and Netgalley for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

When Maisie discovers her husband cheating on her at work her life falls apart, but then things look up when she wins a holiday staying in a villa on a farm in Tuscany. Taking her two friends Emma and Cheryl with her they set out for a summer of fun under the Tuscany sun...... and throw the gorgeous Gianni into the mix and who knows what could happen!

A lovely summer read, the descriptions of the beautiful Tuscan landscape really transport you there and with plenty of fun and flirting going on the book flows really well. Perfect light beach read.

My Summer of Love and Limoncello is the story of Maisie Knight who’s life changes dramatically when she finds her husband Harry cheating on her behind a pair of inflatable Santa’s. Soon after the family business collapses and Maisie finds herself living in a one bedroom flat and juggling two jobs.

Maisie wins a trip to Tuscany and gets to take friends Cheryl and Emma along for the ride. I loved the vivid descriptions of the small Italian villages and the mouthwatering pasta dishes (not to mention the hunky men!)

I liked how Sue Roberts demonstrated that depression doesn’t always make you want to hide under the duvet, there are people suffering silently with huge smiles on their faces too.

We get to learn about Italian culture and meet some charming and heartwarming characters and the friendship between the three ladies is very special.

A warm, light-hearted romance to get you in the holiday mood!

My Summer of Love and Limoncello is a light, travel story of Maudie's trip to Tuscany with her two friends. The story is full of day-trip adventures and minor disasters, keeping the reader engaged and entertained. This will be a perfect book to throw in your travel bag this summer!

What a wonderful, "gentle" read. This book won't take you on a roller coaster ride of angst. Instead, you will take a relaxing, wonderful holiday in Tuscany with its main character!

Maisie Knight's life has been in an upheaval since she discovered her husband Harry was having an affair with one of the cashiers at his store. Reeling from a divorce and the loss of the home that she loved, Maisie is trying to get her life back on track when she finds out that she's won a week's vacation at a farmhouse villa in Tuscany, Italy. She invites her two best friends--Emma and Cheryl--to join her on the vacation.

Author Sue Roberts describes the vacation with descriptions that make you feel like you are also there. (As someone who loves to travel, but can't do so right now, I love books like this!) They explore local restaurants and regional cooking, a vineyard, the small towns around the farm where they are staying, and bigger cities like Pisa, Siena and Florence. They also experience the fun flirtiness of several single young Italian men in the area.

Maisie catches the eye of Gianni, the 40-year-old son who takes care of the farm where she's staying. Throughout the book, Roberts slowly develops their relationship from curiosity about each other to a deepening affinity and then love. But Maisie wonders if it could really have a relationship with Gianni, since she lives in Englandand he is quite happy and prosperous as a farmer in Tuscany. (A pig farmer!) When Harry unexpectedly shows up in Italy and says he wants to get back together, Maisie is thrown for a loop and confused about whether she really belongs in Italy, or whether she should go back to her life in Liverpool, Eventually, she grows to realize who she is and what she really wants out of life.

This is a nicely paced book that takes you along not only on Maisie's Italian vacation, but on her journey of discovery. It's a nice read for a weekend when you just want to relax and enjoy a good story!

I received an early preview copy of this book from Netgalley in return for an honest review.
I found the first couple of chapters slow to begin with, as Maisy begins a new life. The pace soon picked up once Maisy went to Tuscany with her two best friends. The book follows Maisy as she has new experiences, that make her question what it is that she wants to do with her life.
This book is light hearted, and easy to read. The descriptions of Tuscany are excellent, and very appealing. This book had fun, romance and sunshine, it is a perfect holiday read.

Set amidst the glorious landscape of rural Tuscany, it will warm your heart - much as the Mediterranean sun warms the broken heart of the protagonist Maisie. It's a lovely read, perfect for getting you in a summery mood. It will make you dream of warm, starry nights, handsome Italian men and food to die for. I loved the relationship between the friends and also the way in which Maisie finds out what is right for her. It also brought back memories of Sienna, Pisa and Florence which are all mentioned in the book. Better than any travel brochure for making you want to jump on a plane!

Sunshine, friendship, and amore!

A delightful story full of fun, flirting, friendship, and food! Sue Roberts is brilliant at bringing the settings of her books to life. Once again I got to take a wonderful vacation to Italy from the comfort of my couch. Sue Roberts really gives you a vacation in a book!

Maisie has really had a string of bad luck. Still grieving the death of her mother she catches her husband in the act of cheating on her. Devastated and licking her wounds Maisie’s luck begins to turn when she wins a trip to Italy. The perfect time for a girls trip Maisie brings her two best friends Cheryl and Emma along for the fun. Italy was gorgeous and bursting with the warm sunshine, fabulous food, and gorgeous men.

This was such an engaging heartwarming story with a generous splash of romance. Maisie, Emma, and Cheryl‘s friendship was wonderful! I love strong female friendships in books and this was one of the best I’ve read. This was a group of ladies you would love to go on vacation to Italy with! Farmer John was a great love interest and I really loved all the... will he? Won’t he? This book was really packed with so many lovable well drawn characters that I am just certain I would know if I saw them walking down the street. Such a comforting story that made me feel warm inside and out.

A lovely story that will make you smile, laugh, and crave Italian food! Recommend!

When boy meets girl here's what they say)
When a moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie
That's amore
When the world seems to shine like you've had too much wine
That's amore
Bells will ring ting-a-ling-a-ling, ting-a-ling-a-ling
And you'll sing "Vita bella"
Hearts will play tippy-tippy-tay, tippy-tippy-tay
Like a gay tarantella
When the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool
That's amore
When you dance down the street with a cloud at your feet
You're in love
When you walk in a dream but you know you're not dreaming signore
Scuzza me, but you see, back in old Napoli
That's amore

What could be better than winning a trip and that trip is in Italy!!! That is exactly what happened to Maisie Knight. Along with her two best friends, Cheryl and Emma, all three are on their way to a rustic farm, Villa Marisa in Tuscany. This is just what Maisie needs, recently split with her husband and being diagnosed with depression by her doctor, you couldn't get a more fantastic prescription for what ails you.

Reading this book was a treat in more ways than one. For one, it seemed as if it were a travel log for Tuscany,. The depiction of the landscapes had me wishing I was there again. Two, you could almost catch the aroma of the food described in this book. I only wish there could have been a few recipes in the back. The romantic feature of the book was done perfectly. The characters were wonderful, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was a warm and lovely read, a perfect novel to relax with.

What is funny, I've made chicken cacciatore for dinner tonight and will finish off the meal with a bit of Limoncello! Bellisimo!

My thanks to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is a laugh out load, feel good amazing book. Since it's currently the middle of winter this transported me to the nice sunny countryside and I was in love with the characters, the setting, the food. One of my top reads for the year so far.

Italy has always been and will always remain my favourite country. So when the opportunity to dive into a divine story, predominantly set in Florence, came about I jumped in with both feet.....or should that be eyes. The dreamy landscapes surrounding Florence were described in picture perfect detail and I could almost smell the culinary delights that were on offer for the reader's imagination to drift towards.

The plot picked me up and swept me away on a roller coaster ride of heartbreak and self healing and I was enraptured every step of the way. Maisy was a joy to have at the helm of this beautiful story and I was instantly taken with her natural charm and determination to succeed with happiness in life. Sue Roberts certainly gave us many swoon worthy Italian men to feast our eyes on, but none could come close to the divine Gianni, with his quiet Italian charm and gentlemanly manner. I was smitten and held out all hope that he would get a happy ever after.

If you're like me and love all things Italian then this is the story for you.....limoncellos all round I say. My Summer of Love an Limoncello is a breath of fresh air in this ever changing British weather and the perfect pick me up to bring on those summer vibes.

Reading My Summer of Love and Limoncello is a lot like listening to your most garrulous girlfriend describe her trip to Tuscany. She tells you about every single meal she and her friends ate, what they saw at the different museums all the while mixing it with random thoughts of her cheating ex-husband that you wished she'd gotten over by now because, hello, he cheated. When she says that when they wanted a nibble, they picked olives from the trees and you raise an eyebrow waiting for the punchline that never comes.

The good stuff, the romance, is kind of swept aside until later, much later, when she says her love interest called her "bello" and "bellissimo" and you want to ask if he's really Italian...or if he thought she might be a man, because, you know, that would be kind of funny.

So I was a little disappointed with My Summer of Love and Limoncello. I think my funny bone is intact, but I didn't laugh. I quirked a smile a time or two.
This is definitely for readers who want to escape and armchair travel to Tuscany. Don't expect too much of the characters or the plot. Don't think too much. Just imagine eating some of the luscious dishes and then having a shot of limoncello. You'll be happy.

Really enjoyed this book, great story. Perfect uplifting read for a gloomy day! I have read some other books by this author and will look out for me!

Maisie Knight was happily married to businessman Harry. That was until she walked into the stockroom and finds him giving Laura from Till 3 more than just a stock check behind the 6 foot Santas! Restarting her life in a tiny one bedroom flat about the sandwich shop where she now works is not easy. Still not over the death of her mother two years previously and now with her marriage breakup to cope with, Maisie visits her doctor. Prescribing her anti-depressants with the advice that a long holiday in the sun could just be what the doctor ordered, Maisie is stunned to find out that she has won a magazine competition for a week’s holiday to Italy. Taking her two friends, Cheryl and Emma, it could just about the perfect place to mend her broken heart….

Before I say anything else about the book, I want to broach on the subject of the cover! I mean, honestly….look at it!! How absolutely beautiful is it and it’s certainly a cover which will jump out at you from all the other covers on the shelf!! The colours are perfect and sat here on this cold, windy evening I can just about feel the warmth radiating through from those blue skies! Some books just match their covers perfectly and this in one of them!

Having never been to Italy, after reading this book I really want to go! Based in Tuscany, the descriptions of the area are so enticing and I could just picture myself sat by the swimming pool topping up my tan, or at the local restaurant sampling the fabulous Italian food. Maisie, and her friends Cheryl and Emma, are wonderful characters and so likeable. Of course, I did feel for Maisie – not just because she caught her husband in flagrante delicto with the shop girl, but also because she still was obviously still grieving over the death of her mother. It was great for Maisie to have such great friends around her though, who obviously worried and cared for her a great deal.

The three of them in Tuscany was a fabulous change in the storyline, from the sandwich shop to the Tuscan cottage. It’s obvious that there will be romance in this book and from the first time local farmer, Gianni appeared I just knew he would be in the middle of it all! All the other characters were so likeable and so well written into the story that it felt like you had known them all for years. The story moved at a perfect pace, giving you plenty of time to enjoy everything that was going on and the writing was so delightfully funny that I found myself laughing out loud on more than one occasion!

Okay, so it’s your typical romantic comedy and you always know how these types of books are going to end up. But this one had the added advantage of the location, the author’s knack of making you feel like you’re right there in person and the ideal combination of all the lovely characters!! This of course doesn’t include all the amazing descriptions of food and wine as this goes without saying! A lovely heart-warming, romantic comedy, full of sunshine, Italian hillsides and of course, Limoncello! Would definitely recommend.

Winter is still in full force in Maine, with no sign of spring in sight. The ground is covered in a snow white blanket with skiing, sledding and ice skating the primary outdoor activities. I decided to warm myself up a bit with Sue Roberts’ new book, My Summer of Love and Limoncello. This story is a dreamy read jam packed with love and Italian food. Set in Tuscany, Roberts’ book is a delicious experience that will fill your belly and warm your heart.

Maisie Knight’s life is turned upside down when she walks in on her husband having an affair with one of their store employees. Not too long after witnessing this horrific scene, Maisie wins a two week vacation to Tuscany. In an effort to mend her broken heart and re-examine her life, she grabs her two best friends and heads to a small villa in Tuscany for a girls’ getaway. Maisie and her girlfriends soak up the Italian sunshine surrounded by fields of lavender, olive trees, red wine and gorgeous men. Maisie’s life takes a turn for the better once she meets Gianni, the local farmer. After spending time with him throughout her stay, she needs to decide if she should return to her old life back in England, or make a go of a new life in Italy.

My Summer of Love and Limoncello is the ultimate feel good story. It is a light and airy read making it the perfect palette cleanser. It is impossible not to have dreams of first loves and scrumptious Italian dishes while reading. Sue Roberts’ writing is atmospheric and charming. Her pages are filled with antipasto, chianti and sweet and creamy tiramisu. It is a love story of first glances, accidental touches and passionate kisses that linger in the doorway. It is impossible to feel anything other than love for the characters in this story. This book would be a lovely read lounging poolside or on a sandy beach. If warm weather is not in the cards anytime soon, cozy up by a fire and devour this Italian delight. You will be under the Tuscan sun in no time.
