This was my first Kerry Lonsdale book and I loved it! Last Summer is a great read!! Lonsdale introduces you to Ella, who has lost recent memories of her pregnancy and the death of her newborn son. You feel for her as she learns about her accident and she tries to morn the son she had no idea about. Lonsdale manages to tangle a web if lies that slowly unravels revealing quite a story and leaves you guessing until the end. Overall, a huge two thumbs up!! I will definitely be recommending this to others and I will be checking out Lonsdale's other works. Special Thanks to NetGalley and Lake Union Publishing for the advanced digital copy of Lonsdale's work, Last Summer.

I was given the opportunity to read a pre-release copy of “Last Summer” by Kerry Lonsdale. I adored Lonsdale’s Everything Series; her first book of the series topped my personal best books of the year when it released. Kerry’s latest title doesn’t disappoint, I was hooked immediately after the first few chapters. The chemistry between Ella and Damien is palpable. I was rooting for them from the start and my heart broke for them when they lost their unborn child. Lonsdale’s portrayal of a couple going through the grief of the loss of a child is all too real.

Months after the loss of their child, Ella feels like Damien is hiding something, he won’t open up and pulls away every time Ella tries to put the pieces together of her memory loss surrounding the accident that made her lose her unborn child. Wanting to get back to her life before the accident, Ella takes an assignment to interview, rather interview again, Nathan Donovan, a TV personality of the likes a Bear Grills, who also is grieving the loss of his only son, Carsen. The issue is that Ella also doesn’t remember Nathan and so she is told they spent 5 days together the summer before he pulled the plug on the article. This assignment takes Ella and Nathan to his mountainside home and then off to Alaska, where Ella has, at first, more questions than answers then leaves her more confused than when she came.
Lonsdale’s books, in my opinion, are the perfect weekend read, books that I can’t wait to finish once I’m in Kerry’s world. This books dances with themes of does the “truth set you free” especially when it comes to marriage.

It was a pleasure to read and I’m grateful that I was offered the book to review especially since my 6-month hiatus from reviewing books and that you to Lake Union for giving me the book ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I NEED THE NEXT BOOK NOW!!! This book – WOW! I thought the Everything series was great – but this story blew that one out the water! I started this book thinking I knew where it was all going but I was entirely and utterly wrong. After being thrown a curve ball in the form of Nathan Donovan, I figured out what the twist was relatively early on… but even THEN I still didn’t know where things were headed! The last few chapters had twist and turns that would make Lombard Street jealous! I feel like my mind, will and emotions were completely and shamelessly manipulated… and I’m not even mad about it! In fact, I can’t wait for Kerry to do it all over again in 2020!!

What are you still doing reading this review?! HURRY AND GO READ THIS BOOK NOW!

Oh my goodness, this book!!! Lucky to have received an advance e-copy from Netgalley. A fan of Kerry Lonsdale’s the things we keep trilogy, i was excited to read this new story. There better be a sequel! Can’t wait to hear what happens next/what really happened with Elle, Damien, and especially Nathan.

Last Summer kept me guessing from beginning to end. Every time I had it all figured out, there would be another twist in the plot that sent me scrambling to guess what might happen next. I found the lead characters (Ella and Damian) really unlikable, which actually made them quite perfect for each other. This is one bizarre and twisted tale.

As usual, Kerry Lonsdale's adventures in storytelling are a success! Last Summer is full of intrigue and speculation, with a twist you won't see coming. The situation in which Ella finds herself and the options she's given spark an interesting ethical and very human yet highly personal and individual debate. What would you do, given the same chance? I'm a little bit disappointed in the slight cliffhanger at the end, especially because I just found out that the book is a standalone. It leaves something to the imagination, though... What do you think Ella will do?? Definitely recommend!!

I received this book "Last Summer" from NetGalley and all opinions expressed are my own. Great Book! This book was fast paced with lots of twists and turns. The words flowed smoothly and made me want to read read read. Just when you thought you had everything figured out - wham - another twist you didn't see coming. At first I didn't like the ending because of course I want more of the story. I can't wait to see what happens next. Hurry with the next book.

This was a fantastic read! The author pulled me in right away from the very first pages. Ella wakes up in the hospital after a horrible accident but has no memory of it. In fact, she has lost several months of memories. What follows is a roller coaster of a ride through Ella’s life as she tries to figure out why she has lost her memories, while also trying to rebuild her life. The characters are all very real and the writing is sharp. Just when I thought I had something figured out there was another twist. This was definitely a page-turner (I read it in two sittings, late into the night). And the ending? It made me want to start all over at the beginning. A definite 5-stars. Thank you to NetGalley, Lake Union Publishing, and the author for a digital ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Wow, another amazing book by Kerry Lonsdale ! While everything seems great on the surface of Damiens and Ellas marriage, you quickly realize that there is much more going on , While I first thought I knew exactly where this book was going , I quickly realized that Kerry Lonsdale was taking me into a completely new direction! This is just one of the reasons I love her novels !

Another incredible read by Kerry Lonsdale! I am such a huge fan of her work and devour all of her books because they never disappoint- including this one, Last Summer.
I could not put it down and found myself racing through it dying to know how it was going to end.
Such a fascinating- and fresh- premise...what if you could choose to forget a memory or person in your life? How does changing what you know in the past, change your future?
This book had me guessing until the very end (and then I STILL didn't guess correctly!) and there was never a lull in the plotline. Fast-paced, beautifully developed characters and a plotline with more twists and turns than one can count! I highly recommend this book and greatly thank NetGalley, the publisher and the author for an (E-copy) ARC.

Wow! Just Wow! Loved this book! Didn't want it to end! What a concept! Just think if you could selectively forget ugly memories or people that have hurt or betrayed you! My emotions were tossed back and forth by this delicious storyline! I stayed up WAY too late to finish it and can't wait for the next book! The author's descriptions of the characters and her way of writing kept me guessing until the very end! Twists and turns are what make a book a pleasure to read. I have read everything Kerry Lonsdale has written!

Ella and Damien are a young, successful couple with a seemingly perfect life. The story begins with a puzzling tragedy...Ella remembers nothing about what happened and Damien seems reluctant to fill her in. Throughout the book, Ella pieces together bits of memories and clues to find out what happened and why she can't remember. The plot moves fairly well, though it becomes increasingly frustrating when no one wants to or is able to, help Ella remember. There are some good plot twists toward the end, one you kinda see coming and two others that really surprise you and answer your questions. Was interesting and kept me guessing throughout. Couldn't wait to get to the end and solve the mystery!

Wow! Kerry did it again! Another fantastic read, it kept me guessing almost the entire way through. Just when I thought I had it boom another twist, I was thoroughly surprised by the ending and loved all the ups and downs throughout.

If we had the power to manipulate memories through medicine and science, would you want to erase them in order to live a happier life, or do we lose essential parts of our identity in doing so? Kerry Lonsdale explores this through a marriage where memories threaten to cleave it into oblivion. Ella Skye is the ubiquitous unreliable narrator, and the reader explores and tries to determine which memories are real, which aren’t, and which are devastatingly true. A different plot than the usual thrillers in this genre, worth a read.

I was fortunate to read the uncorrected proof of this novel, the book will be published in July. I'm already familiar with Kerry Lonsdale's work, because I've read her all her previous books and I like her style. So this is my honest review.

Ella Skye panics when she wakes up in a hospital with no memory of the accident she suffered in which she lost her unborn baby, which she also doesn't remember, she has no memory of having been pregnant and her husband Damien thinks she's lying.

Ella is a journalist in a celebrity magazine, when she returns to work she’s assigned to an exclusive interview with the handsome extreme outdoor adventurer Nathan Donovan, she doesn't remember him, but they knew each other, In the course of those days of the interview she discovers things she never imagined.

I devoured the book because it had me hooked from the very first page, I literally didn’t want to put it down the day I started reading it, but It was 2 in the morning and I had to wake up early to go to work (so annoying).

The story is fast paced, full of emotions, from the characters and yours too!, as Ella had no memory it was very intriguing to discover things along with her, and the twists, oh my goodness!! I can’t even. One thing's for sure, this story will keep you entertained.
This book is my new Kerry Lonsdale’s favorite. Thank you to Kerry, NetGalley and the publisher for this opportunity.

A wonderfully enticing romantic storyline combined with a thrilling mystery of missing memories will leave you wanting more by the end.
I could not put this book down! I was so entranced with all the characters, who I thought I was getting to know completely and yet come to find out I never fully knew the entire book. When I finally reached the end it left me wanting more of the story.
I am so grateful that I received an ARC of this book and did not have to wait until July 2019.

Wow, this story really was a sucker punch! Twisted, yet not quite diabolical, but close. Ella awakens in the hospital, with no memory of why she is there or what happened. Her husband Damien is vague and obviously hiding something, as he avoids answering her questions. She is told she had a stillborn baby after an accident, but has no memory of being pregnant or even the accident. So begins her journey in trying to recover what happened Last
Summer.
A twisted tale of love, secrets, betrayal and heartbreak. Don’t even try to anticipate an outcome, because you will fail. Kerry Lonsdale is a gifted story teller, with a talent for great character development. It’s all here!
I receive an ARC for my honest review. Thanks to #NetGalley, #KerryLonsdale
and #AmazonPublishing. I loved this book!

What would you do for someone you love? How far would you go for your child? I devoured this book in 2 days. I couldn’t stop wondering what was going to happen. I have loved Kerry’s other books so I had high expectations of this book. It did not disappoint! So many questions and so many twists. I found myself loving Nathan and feeling so sorry for Ella. I can’t wait to read the sequel!!

I found this story to be a bit predictable and the twist unoriginal. I feel like I've read too many stories recently that are similar to this one. With that said, I found this to be a fast read.
