There were a few spots that went a bit slowly but overall the characters, their relationships, and the ending made me give this 4 stars. I haven't read anything by the author before, but will be looking for other books by Barbara Taylor Sissel.

This is a slow burner that took me sometime to get into, but I'm glad I preserved with it.
It is more of a domestic suspense with lots of hurt, secrets, and betrayals.

The author provided ample backgrounds for each characters and beautifully weaved all plot lines together bringing the whole story to a powerful and hopeful ending.

Barbara Taylor Sissel is my favorite literary suspense author and this book is one of her finest! She’s a master at layering in intrigue without it being heavy-handed. Right from the start I was pulled into the story wondering why Caroline had lost contact with her father, what secret was Jace keeping, why was she being followed? The novel brilliantly weaves in three separate storylines, all of them coming together at the end in a surprising twist.

This was an ok book, it took me a little while to get into it and finish it... The writing was great and the characters had a lot of detail, especially with their backgrounds, but I think the ending is what saved the book for me. I really liked the ending.

This book was a little too boring for me. It took me days to finish it. I really wasn’t into the sports aspect of it and at times it became confusing with some of the different storylines. I like how the ending came together and how it was all summed up. I probably wouldn’t recommend this book sorry to say. Thank you netgalley for letting me give an honest review of this book.

3.5 stars!!! I really couldn't get into this book until about 3/4 of the way through it. I think maybe because I wasn't into the coach/athletics type stuff part of the story. it made a good turn for me once it all started to come together towards the end. I really liked Caroline's character and her connection with her aunt. The climax of the story was really good and brought the entire story together, and I was glad I stuck with it. I really liked the ending and saw hope for the characters. Thanks to Netgalley and the Publisher for the ARC
