This was a fun, relatable read. Alyssa's writing style made me feel like she was in front of me ahving a conversation and telling me her stories. It was so nice to read about someone else having similar experiences to me.

I had enjoyed Mastromonaco's previous book in the style of Mindy Kaling, #Girlboss etc. and was hoping for more of the same but this didn't quite hit the mark. There weren't enough anecdotes and quite a lot of ground was retrod. Still an entertaining read though.

I picked this up because I listen to, and love the Hysteria podcast, and Alyssa is a fun and informative recurring podcast guest. Alyssa's book is much like how she comes across in podcasts, chatty, informative and supportive. I really enjoyed the book and raced through it. It's the book equivalent of meeting a good friend for coffee, you always enjoy seeing them but afterwards you probably won't remember much of what you talked about.

A proper girlie book this one did not disappoint. It’s honest, real, funny and raw.
Great book.
Thank you to both NetGalley and Littlebrownbookgroupuk for my eARC of this book in exchange for my honest unbiased review

This book is trying to be two things at once, I believe. Whilst it's trying to examine the trials of adulting and the problems women face in every day life, taking everything from lists about what she keeps in her suitcase or her handbag to her issues with vertigo and IBS. At the same time, it's a book about working in the Obama White House. I suggest picking just one and sticking to it. The essays are a little disjointed and there's no real through line or theme that keeps them packed together neatly, just a rambling collection of thoughts. It's nice, but I think there's a different kind of book I wanted from this that I didn't get.

A great read for all women , honest, straight talking and funny. This is a great read and you won’t want to put it down.
Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for a free copy for an honest opinion

I read Alyssa's first book about her time working in the Obama White House. That book was so refreshingly honest and read completely differently from normal political memoirs. I loved her tone and honesty and am happy to say that she is the same in this book. I would encourage every young woman who is entering the workplace to read this book! It really opens your eyes to today's culture towards women. Loved it!
