It's been way too long since I read a PT book so I am playing catch up and the synopsis of this caught my eye. Angie lives in Australia and has big dreams of travelling the world. Sadly she is actually pretty sheltered and spends her time caring for her Grandmother. When her Grandmother passes away Angie is given a huge opportunity and she is determined to take the chance with both hands. Angie is unravelling elements to her life and additional family she knew nothing about so her first port of call is Italy.

PT has a wonderful knack of being so beautifully descriptive with places that you are transported for the ride too as a reader. Angie is a lovely character and as she discovers parts of herself and her life she knew nothing about you can see her growing as a person before your very eyes. Having read a fair few heavy crime thrillers lately this was a fabulous read that really took me out of the depressing dark places of those kind of books and took me on holiday! I managed to knock this book out in two sittings as it was so enjoyable. Going back to tried and tested authors that you know and love is a lovely feeling when you need a certain kind of book for your mood. A real pick me up book that I thoroughly enjoyed.

This is based on the sampler received. This was a sad beginning to what sounds like a heartwarming and emotional book. We meet Angie just as her Nan, who suffered from dementia, has died. It's a tearful beginning, but with a mysterious prologue of a tortured man standing on the edge of a rock, waiting to jump. As this is only a very short sampler, the answers to who and why aren't given this early on in the book, but no doubt all will become apparent as the story moves on. This feels completely different to other books I have read by this author, but again my opinion is based on such a short chapter that perhaps it will changed as I read more. I will definitely be picking this book up again to follow the story.

Far from being a light summer read, Toon's latest novel includes sensitive topics like PTSD, suicide and grief so I was a little unsettled by the tone. It took me a while to settle into the rhythm of the story, something I've never experienced with Toon's previous work.

A great taster that makes me want to read the rest of the book. Angie always wanted to travel and then life got in the way but all that is about to change. You always get a great read from Paige Toon .i think this will be no different

Angie has never left her home town in the Australian desert, firstly because she didn’t want to upset her grandparents, and then because her ageing grandmother, who had raised Her, needed round the clock care. Despite dreaming of travel, she had remained in the same house all her life. We meet Angie on the day her grandmother passes. Now there is no one keeping her in the town will she set out on her big adventure? Or will she remain anchored to home by the wish to learn more about her roots?

I received a chapter sampler of this book from the publishers via NetGslley in exchange for an honest review. This felt like it would make the perfect holiday read and I’m intrigued to learn whether Angie will travel, learn where she comes from and who the mysterious dark shape of a man from the prologue? I feel like this will be a page turner and keep me hooked once I get going with the full novel!

I along with many other Paige Toon fans eagerly await her new release every year and I love her storytelling so much that I never even read the synopsis for If You Could Go Anywhere I trust her writing to know that I am always going to be immersed in the storyline.

Angie has always lived in Coober Pedy in Australia and she has never travelled outside of her home town as she has always had responsibilities that have prevented her from actually living the life she longs to live. After the death of her Nan she happens upon a letter that appears to be addressed to her Father she has never known. It is time for Angie to begin her adventures and what better place to go than Italy to find her Father.

What Paige Toon has always managed to do so perfectly is create a leading character who I instantly feel like I befriend from the first chapter and this is no different with Angie. Angie has lived a very sheltered life but she doesn’t let this stop her from taking such a big step and grabbing life with both hands and jetting off for the first time to a country alone to meet her father and his family. She shows such courage for someone who has lead such a sheltered life but she also has such a warm kind and caring nature and is always happy to go out of her way to help those in need.

Alessandro is the hot eyecandy in this novel, he has an air of mystery about him and doesn’t let anyone close. When we learn more about Alessandro my heart breaks for him and it becomes understandable the reason he is the way he is which made me love him even more.

I have never been to Italy although it has always been somewhere my husband and I always wanted to visit, the author describes the setting so beautifully and it is so vivid in my mind and has just made me want to visit even more.

I found this quite a difficult read emotionally in places but this could be heightened more because of my personal circumstances at present but even so I admit to shedding a tear or two in a couple of places with situations of desperation and loss. I was a little surprised that Angie wasn’t trying to get to spend more time with her papa seen as this was the reason for the trip but then I suppose the storyline wouldn’t have been as enjoyable without the mysterious and handsome Alessandro taking a stronger role!

Paige Toon never lets me down and this book is another wonderful touching emotional and romantic read that is wrapped up in the delights of Italy.

Having read the sample of this book I am eager to read more. The first excerpt leaves me needing to know if Angela finds out what she wants to and where the journey might lead her...I look forward to the book being released later in the year.

I always find it difficult to review a sampler but I will give it my best shot.

As with all Paige Toon’s books this book hooks you in from the off. The opening chapters give the reader that little teaser and you are left counting the minutes until the release date when you can find out how it all pans out.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced read copy of this book in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

I am a big fan of Paige Toon and love the idea behind this novel. It’s another story that channels her passion for travel and shares the possibility of freedom that travel allows. The characters in Paige Toon’s books are always genuine and relateable allowing the reader to sympathise with their struggles.
I have only read a sampler of this book but will ensure I get a copy to read in full.

A short sweet snippet of a promising book. Only wish it had been the full thing! One to look out for and read the entirety.

It's hard to review a sampler and honestly I didn't realise this was a sampler when I requested it but I did enjoy what I read so much so I was sad when it ended. I will be buying this book however when it comes out.

The main character has always been stuck in the one place throughout her life but always dreamed of traveling the world like her mother had done. Her grandparents are her only family and she when her grandpa died and her grandma developed dementia she looked after her until her grandma passed. Now her family is no longer with her she feels the need and want to leave town and perhaps, do the traveling she once wanted to do.

I do love paige toon and I do think this book will be a good one, I'll buy it once it comes out.

It is quite hard to give a review to a sample, as you only dive into the beginning of what is a huge book. You only get the tip of the iceberg.

I loved this beginning. After the synopsis, the few chapters perfectly grab onto that information, and we can see that the plot begins to open up almost immediately. We have a girl who has always had this dream of travelling, but also never had to will to go, because of her grandma. When her grandma passes away, she is suddenly free of the burden, and is free to let go and fly away. But is she ready?

I can't answer this from this sample, but I am sure in the chapters to come we will see her grow and become the person she always wanted to be. She is going on a journey, and I can't wait to be a part of it too.

I would give anything to get an ARC copy of the whole book. What do you guys need? An eye, a kidney? I AM READY! I want this book now! Please!

An amazing and promising read, full of adventures coming up, and beautiful writing. But when it comes to the writing, we already know it's priceless. We are talking about Paige Toon, after all...

Very enjoyable read from Paige Toon. This was a very short snippet but the plot line folding out seems to be very interesting. Looking forward to reading the full book in May.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for the ARC

It’s difficult to provide a review based on only the first few chapters of the book - I didn’t realise that’s what it was when I requested it - but what I did read seemed decent.

4 stars. Interesting start, looking forward to the rest! Paige Toon is at it again, I cannot wait until May to be able to read the full story!
