I am so glad this book series exists. The illustrations are gorgeous and they are such an easy and fun way to get very young children interested in history early on while inspiring them with stories of little people who have changed the world in their own ways. Maria Montessori is a terrific role model for young minds. Maria shows that woman can do anything they put their minds to and all children are capable of learning and succeeding in their own way.

However, the last few pages are about Mohammed Ali due to some editing error.

Cute with bright colors and kids of all types represented. Presents enough information to spark questions in a young learner, but not so much that will overwhelm them. Looking forward to reading more from this series!

A perfect little intro book for the young readers. Maria Montessori - not your average subject matter. Refreshing change from the standard early biography books. The writing was engaging, a bit humorous and a great intro. It would be a great book to jump off of into a meatier book. There are other books in this series and I will be adding them to my school library. Thanks Net Galley for the advanced copy. What a delight!

This book is a great introduction to a famous person in history. I enjoy the book as it was informative about the beginning of her life but sends an important message about not giving up! It is an easy read and a child over 6 would be able to read it independently. The illustrations are simple but support the story well. It is a good book in which to have a discussion about and if you are interested in the person, a child who is reading this can explore the subject further. I look forward to reading more of these stories. Thank you net galley for letting me review this book.

As with the other titles in this series, this is a vibrantly illustrated account of the life of Maria Montessori. It would be suitable to use with primary age children and would be a good starting point for discussion about how people learn, if there is one right way to learn as well as equal rights to accessing a quality education.
The text is laid out clearly and the illustrations are an excellent companion to the story.

Definitely one to add to the class library!

Forget about this being a book for childre, this is a book that should be issued to every teacher while training or at graduation in order for it to stand as the guiding light for what education should look like.
I love the message of overcoming difficulties and perseverance; its something that is so valuable as a lesson to instill a sense of humbleness within the next generation.
As always, a perfect read to add to the collection.

This series is always a joy to read, it’s a really nice introduction to well known people for little children. Of course the plot is always a little bit fast but that’s to be expected and it’s totally understandable.
This book shows children the story of one incredible woman, Maria Montessori, a researcher and teacher who was very important for how we learn today. She thought that a good way for children to learn was to use games and fun activities and it totally worked. Her methods are still used today and they have shown great results with children. I think children might enjoy learning the history of some of the teaching methods they use every day.
