This is a reasonable YA fantasy.

Plenty of action and good characters make it an enjoyable read.

My only question mark would be about the so called adults in the story.

Summary: Billy Blacksmith is an overweight teen hero, who trusts a giant man-bat when he tells him he is the last of the demonslayer line and must awaken his demonblood, just in time to save the world from gigantic spiders.

Billy Blacksmith is a good story for teens. This book has a lot of self-awareness. Billy is not the hero you expect. He's awkward and not comfortable in his own skin and I identify with that in my teens. It surprised me how funny it is..I didn't expect that from the cover. I thought it might deal with heaven and hell, but demonic in this book means big, and I thought it was a cool take of the idea.. I'm a fan of the writing style. The fight scene was an adrenaline rush. I become engrossed in all the action. Slick and cool.
