Too far-fetched and incredible to take seriously. I guessed the ending well ahead of time and was actually disappointed that I was right as it was a bit ridiculous.
Thanks to NetGalley for the eARC.

I really wanted to like this book, but it became too predictable, and when that happened it became boring. The twist at the end left me wondering why.

This was a brilliant read. As soon as I started reading this book I just knew I was going to love it. Highly recommended

Unfortunately this wasn’t for me. It had an interesting premise and I was intrigued to find out where it was going. However I found the scenes of abuse very disturbing and unnecessary (not so much the content as the fact that it seemed there just to add shock value) and the plot twist and ending I found distasteful and pretty preposterous.

I have to say of all the ones I've read recently this book is one of the most difficult to relate my thoughts about. I didn't like any of the adult characters however child Aimee was SO well written that she broke my heart on numerous occasions. The book flips back and forth timeframe-wise as is the case with many books these days but I feel in this instance it works particularly well. There is so much trauma in Aimee's life that it is understandable that she should be so damaged emotionally and struggles with relationships both socially and romantically in her adult life. I don't think writing the story in any other format would have portrayed the damage done to her in quite the same way.

I would be careful who I would recommend this book to as there are some shocking events dotted right throughout the whole story. Anyone of a particularly sensitive disposition would certainly be affected by at least two scenes which readily spring to mind. The treatment of Aimee once she arrives in England is harsh and upsetting and her 'parents' have some strange ideas when it comes to how to bring up children. Then as she finally starts to find her feet in the acting world and feels that life is finally giving her a break it becomes clear that someone out there knows things about her that she thought nobody else possibly could. And without disclosing her darkest secrets to the police, she is struggling to prove her innocence when she is implicated in a major crime.

I am still trying to process the ending of this book even now as I try to express my thoughts about it. Certainly not the climax or explanation I was expecting, it threw me a curveball of monstrous proportions. Was I shocked? 100% yes. Did I get even a hint of where the story was going? 100% no. Whether it sits comfortably as a satisfactory conclusion the jury is still out, but this book has definitely left its mark on me. I'd say that's a success then, but it would be a stretch to say I enjoyed it.

I am all for thrillers going down the dark and horrifying but it started to lose me at deep fat frying her hamster and completely lost me by the time the plot twist was INCEST.

I think that the students in our school library need to hear lots of diverse voices and read stories and lives of many different kinds of people and experiences. When I inherited the library it was an incredibly sanitised space with only 'school readers' and project books on 'the railways' etc. Buying in books that will appeal to the whole range of our readers with diverse voices, eclectic and fascinating subject matter, and topics that will intrigue and fascinate them was incredibly important to me.
This is a book that I think our senior readers will enjoy very much indeed - not just because it's well written with an arresting voice that will really keep them reading and about a fascinating topic - but it's also a book that doesn't feel worthy or improving, it doesn't scream 'school library and treats them like young reading adults who have the right to explore a range of modern diverse reads that will grip and intrigue them and ensure that reading isn't something that they are just forced to do for their English project - this was a solid ten out of ten for me and I'm hoping that our students are as gripped and caught up in it as I was. It was one that I stayed up far too late reading and one that I'll be recommending to the staff as well as our senior students - thank you so much for the chance to read and review; I really loved it and can't wait to discuss it with some of our seniors once they've read it too!

I really enjoyed this book and would read more from this author. May have been first but won't he the last.

You go into this book thinking one thing and come out knowing something completely different. It is dark and sinister and oh my god!!!! It knocked my socks off

This is the type of book that stays with you and shocks you. I had no idea where it was going and each new revelation just, well shocked me. This is a twisty scary tale of how far people will go to keep secrets. Plus the two clangers that get dropped, well I don’t think I will get over them. Not ever.

I have to say this book was on my mind when I wasn’t listening to it. Aimee’s life was a fascinating one, she is trying to make it as an actress but things go wrong when her husband goes missing. The police think she has something to do with it, especially when they show her photos! Aimee has apparent problems with her memories as well, so can we even trust what she is telling us. Who does not love an unreliable narrator?

Scenes from childhood, the past was hard to read, and at times revolting. How could one person endure this type of behaviour and still come out the other side? Makes me wonder if they really did. If part of them weren’t stuck in the past unable to move on. It truly shaped who they are.

I wrote so many notes with this! I had so many feelings about this book! Shock, disgust, ick, anger! This book has everything. I was questioning everything! Did she kill her husband? Who is stalking her? What the hell is going on!!!!!!!!!

This is my first novel by Alice Feeney and if all her other novels are as outlandish and unreliable as this one I am going to love each and every novel!! It has been a head spinner of a ride. My jaw has spent most of the time catching flies!

A thriller with twists which I generally love. I felt this story was a little slow and the build up through the twists didn't completely grip me and have me hooked.

I recieved a digital ARC of I Know Who You Are last year, but because I am so behind on my ARC's, I listened to the audiobook version (via Scribd, subscription is my own purchase) to review it quicker.

As I've said, I listened to the audiobook of I Know Who You Are. I really enjoyed it, and found the narrator perfect at holding my attention and switching between different character's accents.

The plot of I Know Who You Are is pacey and gripping right away, throwing you straight into the deep end with the drama of Aimee's missing husband. In alternative chapters to this, we see Aimee's childhood, or Kira, as her name once was. These chapters are perfectly slotted between those of the present day, providing timely insight to mirror current events and have their own thread of drama and intrigue.

There were many times throughout this book, where I rolled my eyes and thought 'God, it's so obvious it's going to be this person' AND I WAS WRONG EVERY SINGLE TIME! Like, obviously that is what you want and you don't want to guess the ending, but the set up was like so many other books where you are told a hint and it plays out a certain way, but nothing in this book played out like I thought it would, not even when it seemed so obvious, and I loved that about it. However... no spoilers, but the ending, while being a twist that I enjoyed in some ways because it was so far from what I saw coming, was a bit too much for me. Too far-fetched, too unbelievable, too gross.

Also, I didn't click with the writing style. Most of it was okay, but there were too many wishy-washy metaphors comparing a mortgage to a marriage and other things like that, and SO many instances when somebody did something 'as though' they were doing this, or 'as though' they were thinking this, and it just started to grate on me.

Overall, I enjoyed the read, until the last little bit threw me off guard and ruined it a little. 3.5 out of 5 stars, rounded up to 4 on Goodreads.

A little hard going and with unbelievable characters and plot twists. A little disappointing and a little hard going in places. Some twists but not too hard to guess what is happening.

This book received many differing reviews but I was keen to give it a try myself. A good psychological thriller with many (sometimes unbelievable) twists and turns. Unfortunately it wasn’t for me due to the references to child abuse but other than that it is a great read.

Unfortunately, I have not been able to read and review this book.

After losing and replacing my broken Kindle and getting a new phone I was unable to download the title again for review as it was no longer available on Netgalley.

I’m really sorry about this and hope that it won’t affect you allowing me to read and review your titles in the future.

Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity.
Natalie.

I found this book a little predictable. Not bad enough for me to put it down unfinished, but it lacked something.

Well this book was messed up!

I hadn't read the authors first novel so had no idea what to expect. I thought the book was well written, the characters were a little irritating and there were some pretty grim moments in the book but I did think the "twist" was pretty obvious from very early on in the book.

It was a very strange book but definitely makes you want to continue reading just to see if the twist you think is coming is actually coming because it seems so far fetched.

I enjoyed this book and had fairly high expectations after reading others from this author - I was not disappointed as this book is full of intrigue, suspense and mystery. An aspiring actress comes home the day after a big row with her husband to find his phone and wallet on the table but no sign of him. Dismissing this, she goes out for a coffee to find her card is declined and on further investigation, someone has withdrawn $10,000 from her account. No.1 suspect is her husband, but the bank insist it was her who drew it out herself. And so the thriller begins. Many thanks to netgalley for an arc in return for my honest opinion.
