As a former lover of all the books Sheila O'Flanagan it was lovely to come back to her again and enjoy another story full of strong women taking on the world.

Roxy's life is slowly unfurling, following the death of her beloved father Roxy moves in with her Mum for a short while to help her cope, her husband, the dependable Dave understand the need to .look after her Mum, so its quite a shock to Roxy when she comes home to find Dave in bed with one of the neighbours.

She leaves taking the kid with her and starts to rebuild her life, taking over her fathers limo business and ferrying the great and the good around Ireland.

Then Dave comes and asks her to come back to him, he says things need to change, he wants to sell the limo and use the money on fixing their relationship, but is her new found freedom worth giving up for Dave.

This was a great book and I thoroughly enjoyed it, I loved the fact that although Roxy was the one cheated on she didnt go all bitter and twisted on him or become focused on making him suffer.

Another fabulous book by Sheila.

Thank you to netgalley for a copy of this book in return for an honest review.

Unfortunately, I have not been able to read and review this book.

After losing and replacing my broken Kindle and getting a new phone I was unable to download the title again for review as it was no longer available on Netgalley.

I’m really sorry about this and hope that it won’t affect you allowing me to read and review your titles in the future.

Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity.
Natalie.

I received a digital arc of this from netgalley in exchange for an honest review. It has been on my to read pile for a while as I knew it was a longer book. I enjoyed this but it didn't have me gripped and unable to put the book down. I was quite happy to put it down and come back to it later. Roxy seemed to take a very long time deciding whether or not to forgive Dave but I did dislike him by the end of the book. He only cared about himself and his wants. He had no respect for roxy at all. Overall a good book but I'm in no hurry to read it again any time.

Really liked Roxy's character and was rooting for her to have a happy ending. Her job as a driver was interesting and I liked her interactions with clients. It's slow to start with but quickly picks up.

Please note that this book is not for me - I have read the book, However I had to DNF and because i do not like to give negative reviews I will not review this book fully - there is no specific reason for not liking this book. I found it a struggle to read and did not enjoy trying to force myself to read this book.

“Her Husband's Mistake” is an easy reading novel. I really enjoyed it.

The story sets in Ireland and features Roxy, a mum of two kids and a driver. Roxy and Dave (her husband) are the perfect couple until the day she comes home unexpectedly and finds Dave in bed with the next-door neighbour. We follow Roxy in her way to re-find herself and trying to take over the new situation.

“Her Husband's Mistake” is more than a holiday read as it seems at the first sight. It's much deeper than that; it is about contemporary issues as self-confidence, mutual support, women empowerment, couple relationships and more. That way it should meet a broad audience and I think it is not fair that this book appears in Netgalley “chicks-lit” category. By this way, Sheila O'Flanagan tells that she doesn’t write for any particular audience and she thinks that her books are suitable for “people who have busy lives and who like to escape into someone else’s for a while.”

I find it that characters were strong and likable. I loved Roxy’s character who was realistic and inspiring. As you go through you feel like you know her.

I recommend this book to those who are looking for something entertaining and enjoyable to read.

Do you ever have a routine when it comes to a particular author and her books?
Mine is that Sheila's latest book comes out just before my holiday each year and I take it with me.
Same routine every year, I love it...💞
In Her Husband's Mistake, we meet Roxy who has just found her husband Dave in bed with another woman.
How utterly heart breaking it must feel after twenty years of marriage. I can imagine how worthless a person must feel especially when they've put their whole life into their marriage and two children..
Roxy will see how strong she becomes after Dave's betrayal..
What upset me with parts of this storyline was the undertone that perhaps it was Roxy's fault for her husband's affair because she neglected him and didn't pay him enough attention.
Why can't people accept they are at fault and not blame someone else for their mistake.
I think an affair or indiscretion effects a person so deeply that they question who they are and the type of person they have become.
Roxy does this but in the face of her problems finds the strength to run her father's business after his passing.
An enjoyable read and most definitely an author that you should check out...

Sheila O'Flanagan is an author whose books I pick up safe in the knowledge that they will be good, and this one is no exception. The book opens with Roxy catching her husband, Dave, cheating on her with the next door neighbour. It then deals with the fall out from that. But not in the way I expected. Rather than it being about bitter rows and divorce lawyers and children being caught in the middle, it is about Roxy taking her time and deciding what she wants from life, and who she wants in it. Roxy inherits a private taxi business from her dad, which is a bone of contention between her and Dave. Indeed, at one point Dave's actions over the business irritated me so much at one point that I said, aloud, "oh my god, just divorce him". It is through running this business that Roxy meets different people who help her, in their own way, make decisions about her future, and we learn a little about their lives too in the process. This is a great read, and is really a feel-good book. I'd definitely recommend it.

After arriving home unexpectedly one day Roxy McMenamin finds her husband in bed with their single next door neighbour. Can Roxy forgive him and live her life with their two kids without him. Roxy is a woman who lives for her family and following the death of her father she is trying to keep his personal chauffeur business going. She has a lot to deal with. I found this book just an ok reas , I have read a lot better by this author. At times I found the book was a bit boring and Many times I wanted to reach into the book and slap Roxys husband Dave. 3.5 stars for me

I loved Roxys story. It was extremely well written, a very good story line and kept the reader very involved in the story.
This novel is the story of how Roxy from being a wife, mum, and there for anyone, finds herself again!
She has just lost her father and returns early from supporting her mum to find her husband in bed with her neighbour!
Another problem for Roxy to deal with !
The story is centred round, Roxy keeping her fathers business as a chauffeur going, the people she meets on a regular basis and their stories,
A broken marriage, her family and ensuring their needs are met, and the old fashioned ideas of her husband!
You will have to buy this book to find out what happens to Roxy, but you won’t be disappointed! I loved it
Thank you to Netgalley and Headline for enabling me to read this book in exchange for an honest review

Roxy decides to return home early from her father’s funeral and its hard to know who had the biggest surprise - Roxy finding her husband in bed with their neighbour, or Dave being found out! This was an easy to read book about changing family relationships but the trouble was, it was predictable, with no surprises or “didn’t see that coming” moments. Dave came across as a pantomime villain whilst Roxy was a bit too sugary sweet for my taste. The chauffeuring sections were the least interesting parts of the book and had there been less of them, then I would have enjoyed the story more and we could’ve got from A to B much faster! It was pleasant enough to keep reading.

Big fan of Sheila O'Flanagan - they may not be the most challenging read, but they are always great to keep you company and really involve you in the story.

The Tide Must Turn.....
When Roxy finds her husband en flagrante with a neighbour she knows that changes must be made! From a marriage that she thought a solid prospect, Roxy finds her world turned tumultuous - the tide must turn! This is her journey to finding herself, finding inner peace, independence and, hopefully, finding the happiness she deserves. Well told and credible in both characters and storyline, this is a hugely entertaining read. Very engaging.
