The Dead Wife was an enjoyable read set in the beautiful Lake District. All the characters come across as dodger and you’re not sure who to trust but around half way through it became obvious who was responsible for Elizabeth’s death.
If the mystery was better executed this would be a five out of five book!

A book full of twists and turn, engrossing and entertaining.
Even if it's out of my comfort zone I liked it and appreciated the cast of characters and the style of writing.
I look forward to reading other books by this author.

I received an advanced reader’s copy in exchange for an honest review

This book was more high concept than usual for this author and I’m not necessarily here for it. The entire family was trash, I hated reading about them, but the ladies were a bit too milquetoast (except the dead girl, loved her) for me to root for them. It was a relief when it was over, but I did keep going to see whodunnit

Sue Fortin is a really accomplished writer and this is another excellent novel. Well written, taut and twisty with s way of drawing you in and making the outside world fade away! Simply excellent.

Wow what a fantastic book, loved every page full of twists and turns and a brilliantly addictive page turner.

I have read quite a few of Sue's books and never been disappointed but I think this one is definitely my favourite, well worthy of five stars and I can thoroughly recommend, you will not be sorry.

Thank you to Harper Collins UK (via Netgalley) for giving me the opportunity to read this book.
