I have read this series since Book one and am a huge Lottie Parker fan, as with all the rest of the books in this series I love Lottie and then I also wanted to smack her across the head and tell her top cop on. She is a character that you just want to mother and mind and you desperately hope that she will get her life in order.
Two young women disappear after a night out, their bodies later found with silver coins clutched in their hands. Still mourning the loss of their friend and colleague, Lottie and her Team, struggle to operate with budget cuts, a new boss and bodies and suspects everywhere. The main suspect being the newly released from prison Conor Dowling. This book gave the reader no end of suspects and red herrings and kept me on the edge of my seat as Lottie’s family once again gets caught up in the investigation. A solid thriller that I cannot recommend enough

Another cracking read from Patricia Gibney. Gripping and full of tension, with a great cast of characters. I couldn't stop reading and can't wait for Lottie's next case.

In all honesty, this is the first book I have read from this author. So I can only review on the book I read, which isn't ideal. I enjoyed the book, fast-paced good characters. I really like Lottie Parker and will now have to read the rest of the books. Recommended.

I am a fan of this author, love her books and this was a great read. A great addition to the series.

We literally jump into the action from the very beginning in book 6, Final Betrayal, Lottie and her team are called to a murder scene where two female bodies are found. To her annoyance, her team members try and hold her back. When she does enter the scene of the crime, she is immediately reminded of a case from years ago that has a very eerie similarity to what is before her now. And this is why they tried to keep her away. Not only must Lottie bring the past and present together to solve the murders, she faces the terrifying fact that her two daughters, Chloe and Katie, soon disappear and she is quite naturally overwhelmed with worry for their safety. This is a hard-hitting story and was literally impossible to put down.

Today I have the pleasure to review book number 6 in Detective Lottie Parker Series by one of my favourite writers, Patricia Gibney. Shame on me, this is my third book from these fabulous series. I had a really great time reading it, so here is my review.

Ten years ago, one man goes to jail for attack and robbery. Two young girls testify against him. Now, one girl after another, the two girls are found dead with their best friends. Two couples of young women are found dead with silver coins in their hands. Brutally murdered. And the man they testified against, is outside of the jail, free. With a very weak alibi.

Detective Lottie Parker works on the case. Mother of three, grandmother of one, she tries to manage her family life and the long working hours. A new house, new life, new beginning. She also tries to manage her relationship with her long lost half brother and sister. But what she is not aware of, is that someone is watching her every move. And her daughters’. When she finds silver coins in her grandson’s stroller, she finds it all connected. And she is scared. Scared for her daughters, for her family, for not being able to protect them. Unless she solves the case and puts the right culprit behind bars.

Can she find the real killer?

I liked Lottie Parker as a character from the very first book I read from the series. I like her attitude, her kindness, her love for her family, the way she is devoted to her job and her family at the same time. She grows as a person through the series coping with the loss of the husband and raising three children as a single mother. Reading this book, I liked the tension in the story, the thrilling mystery around the murders and the creepiness connecting her family with the case. Patricia Gibney is one of my favourite writers of police procedurals. I totally recommend Final Betrayal!

Yet another terrific book by this author, which left me frantically turning the pages of my Kindle in an effort to know what happens next! I would highly recommended reading the other books in the series first as they will provide useful background to this novel.

Lottie is in strife again, as she tries to solve the case of the young women who are being murdered on her patch, whilst at the same time trying to untangle the mess that is her family history. Unfortunately during all of this, her two daughters go missing which ramps up the tension in this book no end. It should be a new start for Lottie and her family in a new house but that isn't what happens. Then there is her non-existent love life - not for a lack of trying by someone close to her, however.

All in all, this was a great read and I am already looking forward to the next one in the series. 4.5 stars from me.

"Final Betrayal" is the sixth book in the Detective Lottie Parker series and, in my opinion, is already showing signs of running out of steam. My main problem with this series is that I'm taking a huge dislike to Lottie. Yes, the character has been growing through the series, but I'm not sure I like the way she's going. I specially can't stand how she talks to her colleagues, as if she's the only one with problems in her life (one of her coworkers just lost his girlfriend and she shows almost no compassion at all). And, how's possible that her children get involved, kidnapped or whatever in each and every book??

This is a so-so police procedural. I know it's fiction, but several aspects of the investigation were pretty hard to be believed. Maybe it's because I read lots of murder mysteries and police procedurals, but I picked up the murderer halfway through, so when it was revealed I wasn't so surprised. What surprised me was the absolutely dumb excuse for the murders. I think the author tried to built some tension in the last few chapters that sadly led nowhere.

The end left us with a cliffhanger, so in spite of all I will come back for book 7, cause I still hope Lottie can go back to form.

I haven't read these Lottie Parker books before.
Maybe I should have began at the start. I do realize that a series gets tiresome, but looking at the reviews, it seems too many people are tired of this.
For me, that's neither here nor there. I read this as a new "to me" series. I didn't like it. Actually, I didn't like Lottie. I must see the city, state, or country. Second, I have to like the main character. This was everything I would not want to read.
For me, the writing was too tame. Not my style at all, and not something that's going to make my short hairs stand up! This is a book that if I had in paper, I'd light it on fire during the apocalypse!

This is the 6th book in the Lottie Parker series, and they just keep on getting better!!! Luckily this time she can move back into her own house, but her family still won't leave her alone.... (no spoilers!!). I finished this book quickly, but now I have to wait for the next one........ Recommended!!!!

I love Lottie Parker, and this book makes me love her all the more! A shocking act against Lottie is the basis for this installment, twisted among the story of her recently discovered family members, and their stories. Brill!

One of my new favorite books! This author has such a way with words the pages flew by in no time! I can’t wait to see the next work by this author! This was such a joy to read!

Lottie Parker is one of my favorite book detectives and I always can't wait for the next book. My hopes for this book were high and as usual I was not disappointed. When young women starts disappearing in pairs, Lottie and her team take on the case. There isn't much to go on and time is running out. Then Lottie's own daughters' lives are in danger. At the same time, Lottie's sister has escaped and wants to get her hands on Lottie for revenge. Things are getting out of hands and Lottie is finding herself out of possibilities.

This is a another fast paced crime thriller in the Lottie Parker series. I have read all of them in order as there are elements that flow from previous books.

Once again I was enthralled and couldn’t put down. I love Boyd's character and his loyalty to Lottie and how her life and children are interwoven into the story.

All in all a fantastic read and looking forward to the next installment
