Thank you Netgalley and the Publisher for my ARC in exchange for my honest review. This was an enjoyable book.

Spicy love story featuring a hockey star! This love story was so fun. The drama was great and so were the spicy scenes! Can’t wait to read more in this series.

I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. This book has all the makings of a great story, hockey, romance, etc, but it was not a good story and most hockey players are not this way. This was not a well written book either.

First book by this author and I liked it. I love hockey romances and I love when the main male character is kind of jerky. Trevor is the main character and although he starts out as being rough around the edges, he won me over quickly. I liked Lauren but wish she was alittle bit stronger. I love when the female lead is tough as nails.. I loved Chloe. Any single mother type of book hits me in the feels. This wasnt my favorite book but I see it was this authors debut novel so for that, she did well.

Honestly this book wasn’t so great. I wanted it to be better, I tried to get into but in the end I couldn’t. Got about 3/4 finished and had to put it down. DNF and do not recommend.

The blurb sounded interesting.
Love the cover.
Love the prologue.

It's an interesting hockey romance.
I dont like sports.... and I'm iffy on sports romances, though when I do chose one to read they're not bad... but I feel like this one was ok.. not special... I kinda wish it was longer....
The prologue really sucked me in and it was deep and very emotional... but once the prologue was done I felt like all those emotions vanished... and then it was just whatever.
So I thought I'd be in for a good, emotional, somewhat angsty ride. But nope. Neh eh!!
The characters were whiny and annoying, IT TOOK ME A LONG TIME TO GET THROUGH. Which is one of the reasons I wasn't going to review this one, BUT whatever.

Though I did kinda like Nate & Mia... but yahhhhhhhhhhh

Unsure if I'd read more in this series.

I'm not going to say I didn't like this book. I did. The story was really cute, the plot twist I didn't see coming, and I really liked the character development throughout the book. With that being said, there were some inconsistencies. In the book, you meet Lauren on her 24th birthday. She has a 3 year old. Then when describing how she met the father of Chloe, she says she met him on her 21st birthday. That makes zero sense considering it takes 9 months to make a baby. Another thing that erked me was that it takes place in Pittsburgh, they say Lauren's lived in the same house since she was eight.. but they say shes a Philadelphia Eagles fan. If you ever meet someone in Pittsburgh who follows Philadelphia teams... they don't exist. Finally, there were a lot of grammatical mistakes with a ton of misspellings.
All in all I liked the story and give the book a 3.5 star.

This sports romance was full of angst, drama and sensual scenes. It took a bit to take to the characters but once I did, I did end up really liking them and their story. This is the first book by this author that I have read and I am willing to pick up another book by her in the future.

An interesting twist for a hockey romance. Trevor has his demons, including finding his little sister's body in an alley years ago. Struggling with commitments and emotions, he is basically a man-whore now. Meeting single mom Lauren at a game, the sparks fly. They both have issues, and are a good fit for each other, and I love her little girl. Overall I highly recommend this book, and like the HEA. At times his language is a bit rough, which was a turn off, but other than that I enjoyed this one.

You're the one is Lia Jordan's debuting book and it makes me sad to see a brand new author doing the same trope as 282794 others did before her. The manwhore hero. There was no need to have another woman in the picture even for a short amount of time when the blurb is so focused on the heroine and her daughter. Some things were over the top and while I always like when the hero/heroine get close to the other person's child, in this case, it came off as weird. Some things were just unrealistic and I wasn't able to enjoy the book.

This was a different hockey book for me. Most of the stories do have some scenes on the ice this not so much. In this one, Trevor is having a rough time on the anniversary of his sister’s murder. It is so bad that he has been drinking way too much and is a jerk. Before that, they have a contest with some people from the crowd who have been selected for a chance to win $5,000 if they can get the puck by Trevor. It is here that he meets Lauren and he lets her win. When she goes to thank him later she hears him say some unflattering words about her and she leaves. He feels guilty the next few days and starts making amends. The two of them slowly build a relationship and then her daughter Chloe begins to fall for him as well. When everything is looking up for them something happens that makes him leave without a word and now when he realizes his mistake he does not know if she will take him back because it has been over a month. An interesting story with different storylines but the author makes it work.

I received this book for free review.
This book had my emotions on a roller coaster. I love bothering of the main characters and could feel the pain both were going through., even the tragic loss of a teammate ( that most hated) but the teammate did the unthinkable to his teammate and even to the child he refused to acknowledge until the end I can’t wait to see the rest of the teams life turns out if their story is anything like this one . Will purchase more from this author.

Why o Why o why did I ask for this book, I hated the main character I could not call him a hero, he was the most disgusting manwhore that existed, why do authors insist on trying to get us to enjoy guys like this! Yeah no, and the other main character needed a spine..dont do it my friends don't!!!

2.5 stars

I do love hockey romances but unfortunately this one didn't quite cut it. I wasn't particularly excited by Lauren or Trevor and didn't care too much about their journey together. I think if this is going to be an anthology series, there definitely is some potential as all your classic puck bunny tropes are throughout the book however the leads just need a little bit more personality IMO and the book about 50 pages shorter.

Packed with chemistry, heat, emotion, and heart, the dialog alone will keep you turning the pages at a rapid pace. The characters and situations are realistic and will have you falling in love with Trevor and Lauren over and over again. This is one story that is hard to put down.

This ARC book was complimentary, provided by the Publisher and NetGalley. I am voluntarily providing my honest review.

Trevor is a ML hockey player who has been sad since his sister died. He meets single mom Lauren and they start a relationship. I wasn't a big fan of either character really so this book was not a big hit for me. The writing was average and the love story was not super interesting either. Not a big fan of this author.

I received an advanced copy of "You're The One" by Lia Jordan in connection with NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

The premise of the book is a storyline I was drawn to. I definitely enjoy complex male characters who just happen to be professional athletes. I tried to pick up this book two different times, but unfortunately just could not connect enough with the storyline to engage me and want me to choose this book over others.

This is a sweet story of complications, insecurities and past shadows. There is a lot of swear words and very sizzling love scenes.

I enjoyed this one. It's an interesting hockey romance. While I didn't love everything about Trevor and Lauren, he's a bit of a jerk and she's not as strong as I like, as the story goes on and I got to know their backstories they grew on me. Loved little Chloe right from the start though. As a debut book, I thought this new author did a pretty good job. I'll be interested to see how her writing develops. As for this book the plot did have an interesting twist to it which I thought the author did a good job with. Overall I thought this was a very enjoyable read and I'm looking forward to the next in the series.
