I took a quick look at the chapter "Can men and women ever be just mates?" and ... nope. Just nope. This book is written from such an allocishet point of view... I mean: "And let’s be honest, by that stage you’ve either already thought about it, or done it. At the very least, you assessed your buddy as a possible romantic partner and/ or shag when you first met them." This book is really not for me.

A fantastic look at the myriad of friendships that we can experience as we grow and how they impact our lives. There's a loneliness epidemic and Leaver's work will make you feel a little less alone in the world.

Wow, this was just the book I needed in my life. It's an in-depth look at female friendship. Wonderful book! A Must Read!!

A wonderful book about friendship warm funny nostalgic a book to share with your closest friends.Reading this brought me back to my teenage years where my girlfriends were everything .We spent all day together at school went for sodas after & called each other as soon as we walked into our homes. Female friendships can be difficult wonderful tense every emotion but so so worth treasuring, #netgalley .#duckworth.

This book is utterly amazing! A fantastic, in-depth look into friendship and the different varieties of friendships we will go through throughout our lives. Utterly engrossing, easy to read and touchingly funny in places. Kate Leaver is a fantastic writer and I can't wait to see what she writes next.
