I have said it before and I will say it again, I love Meghan’s books!
That Second Chance is a book that has it all. Humor, heartache, love, loss and an awesome HEA! It is the perfect small town romance story. It made me want to pack a bag and move.
I fell in love with Griffin and Ren! They go together like Peanut butter & Jelly! Ren was infectious. I love her attitude towards life and her overall personality. Griffin was just…perfect. He will have your heart beating rapidly throughout this whole book.
Both Ren and Griffin are going through their own personal struggles when they meet but their chemistry was undeniable. That first kiss was EVERYTHING and had me blushing! No curse could stop their love and I will thank the Moose Gods for it!
I also loved the side characters. From Ren’s helicopter mother to Griffin’s siblings...Especially Griffin’s brothers! They were all incredible and helped make this story even stronger. I CAN NOT wait for the next book!! My curiosity is killing me for the rest of the brother’s stories!

I was so excited for a new series from Meghan Quinn and I was not disappointed, if That Second Chance is anything to go by this is going to be a hit series. What’s not to love about a small town romance centred around the Knightly Brothers well it’s gets better when this very talented author puts her own spin on small town romance.
This book has all the feels and it ticked every box, it’s funny, it’s romantic and it’s set in Port Snow even the name of the town is special, the chemistry the characters share is sizzling and the camaraderie this family share will have you wishing you had a family like theirs and once you add in a swoon worthy hero and a sassy heroine you really get a amazing read.
The story and the funny banter flows naturally but it’s not it’s sweetness and light there are a few bumps in the road that Griffin and Ren need to negotiate before they get their HEA. Can’t wait for the rest of this series and more from the Knightly family.

There is just something about this author and how she writes a book. There is always a depth to the characters that I am drawn to and feel connected with. Her characters always have a quirkiness to them and a strong connection with friends and family. This book was no different. There was humor, love, chemistry, and family. I wanted them to be my friends and family.
I am looking forward to where this series is going to go. I am looking forward to seeing the other three brothers get their story, especially Rogan, but I like them all. My only complaint about this book is I wanted a little bit more back story in regards to Ren. I didn't feel like I knew everything about her. Griffin was another amazing book boyfriend.
This book is still another great addition to this author's ever-expanding backlog of books. She is a favorite author for a reason and always puts her heart, soul, and snarkiness in everything that she writes.

I love a story that’s set in a small town. It has a very familiar feel about it and I cherish the connections they all have between each other. It might make you feel a little lost if you are the newcomer but not for Ren. She even gets to meet the local fauna and flora up close! Even volunteer firefighter Griffin meets her on her first day in town. It could be the start of something special, and a grand story to tell the grandkids, if only things weren’t so complicated.
Griffin was super sweet but conflicted with his feelings. Not only because he wasn’t ready to move on, but there’s the curse and all. Ren is the first girl that even has him looking sideways again and she - with the help of his family - slowly gets under his skin. I loved the banter between the brothers. It’s something I have grown up with, and see reflected in my own boys. I was literally snorting with them throughout the book. At other times my heart just ached for Ren and Griff. I felt she tried her best, but was right to be strong and give him time. Griffin was very resolute and it took some convincing him that he was not all doom and gloom, although kismet played a big part in Ren’s introduction to Port Snow.
As the title suggests, this is a second chance romance that I throughly enjoyed. The epilogue sets up the next book nicely and I can’t wait to hear Rogan’s tale and meet up with the whole gang again.

I loved this book HARD! Meghan Quinn is a queen of rom-coms and I loved every second of this one.
Let me start with the town of Port Snow, Maine. I will admit, I am biased when it comes to Maine because that it is on my bucket list of places I want to see when I die. This author describes this town and its people beautifully and colorfully and I loved every minute of it.
This book had me from the prologue, which I loved. It introduces you to all the Knightly brothers and it is a unique way to start a story. The Knightly family owns a fudge shop (A FUDGE SHOP!) in this quaint little town and is run by Griffin Knightly. The interaction between all the brothers and their sister and the townspeople was just the best.
The story really gets going with a suicidal moose and if that isn't enough to intrigue you, what is? I can't stress enough how funny this book is in parts, but also has great heart and family at its core. I cannot wait to read the rest of this series and get to know the rest of Clan Knightly better!

So many good things in this book! I love when a story is set in a small town, especially one in Maine. The author described this touristy town so well that I want to live there and I want to get to know each and every member of this town.
Another bonus was that the hero had 3 brothers and a sister who all butted into his life constantly. They were a fun addition to this book and I can't wait until we get a book on each of the brothers.
Our main couple, Ren and Griffin were adorable together. As you read in the blurb, there is a curse associated with Griffin and his brothers. Because of this, most of the book is about these two dancing around a friendship that they both want to take to the next level.
Griffin is gun shy and he has a good reason for it. I'm not usually one who likes it if a character keeps the other at a distance but it's a very small distance. They spend a lot of time together getting to know each other and that made me happy to experience it with them. I truly felt like we got a good amount of them together despite not being a couple for most of it.
All the characters in this series were fun and like-able. I'm looking forward to the next book!

If by some miracle you avoid falling for Griffin, I guarantee you will be swept away by his family. And the town...sigh, there's even more encouragement to fall and fall hard.
That Second Chance is a small town romance with quirky people, helicopter families, and too many brothers! Ok, not really but when they hang up on you it feels that way!
It's sweet and everything you need to give you warm fuzzies. Small town living and nosy neighbors with a rampant rumor mill make this town a gem for awkward situations. Add in some delicious eye candy...in quadruple and well, I'm moving to Port Snow.

I was so excited when I learnt that Meghan Quinn was starting a new series about the Knightly brothers and couldn’t wait to dive in.
What a great read this one was; I was hooked from the first chapter to the last and couldn’t put this book down; I was totally immersed in the story that Meghan Quinn wove and Port Snow, Maine (love the name).
I had so many laugh out loud moments reading this book that I am sure the people around me thought I was a lunatic. There is absolutely nothing that I would change about That Second Chance, I loved it.
The chemistry between Griffin Knightly and Ren Winters was electrifying and you could almost feel it as you were reading. I loved the camaraderie between Griffin and his younger brother and parents.
Griffin was such a charismatic hero that I couldn't help but fall for him. I loved how feisty and sassy Ren is; in fact I just loved everything about the characters and the story.
That Second Chance ticked all the boxes for me, it is a story of love, hope and acceptance and was at times a bit of an emotional roller coaster and I cannot wait for more in this exciting new series.
I received a copy of this book through the publisher via NetGalley.

WOW WOW WOW!!! This book BLEW me away! I have always been a fan of Meghan's quirky romances but this is in a league of it's own! The Virgin Romance novelist has always been my favorite book of hers (and I have read nearly all of them), but this one? I think it's my new TOP favorite of all of her books. This is the type of book that leaves butterflies in your belly and a smile plastered to your face. This book has emotion, raw and unfiltered, and a whole lot of heart. It's also memorable, sweet, and addicting- I simply couldn't get enough of Griffin and Ren's story and I didn't want to stop reading. Based on all of this (I am truly fangirling right now) I would HIGHLY recommend That Second Chance to everyone!
Meghan Quinn has not only written a heartfelt and captivating story here, but the setting is absolutely perfect! I could practically feel the salt on my skin coming off the ocean and smell the lobster and seafood. Having grown up in Maine during the summer months I know exactly what Port Snow is like! A beautiful small town with gossipy residents and beautiful views. I felt like I was living within the pages. It really brings back all my memories of being in Maine (mainly in the area of Sabego lake).
One last thing that really thrilled me with this book is how Meghan sets us up for the next book- Rogan's story. I cannot wait to see how he maneuvers with this "curse" hanging over his head and his high school sweetheart/ex fiance suddenly showing back up in his life. Oh boy, this is going to be soooo good!
That being said, if you enjoy books about sweet, small town love, family, friendships, and second chances when it comes to finding love again, I suggest grabbing a copy of this book. This is one of my top 5 favorite books of the year and I have a feeling I am going to going right back and reading it all over again because it gives off all those feels we romance readers crave in our novels. Even more, this may be Meghan's best book yet (and for me, that's saying a lot because I have love each and every one of her books to pieces).

Ms. Quinn can write no wrong!
This story has everything that is classic Meghan Quinn. You get heart, you get heat and you get hilarity.
I am so in love with the Knightly family! And this story introduces us to them all! While this story centers around Griffin Knightly you also get a feel for every family member.
The fictional town of Port Snow is just magical! Ms. Quinn's writing puts the reader right on Main Street. Grabbing a cup of coffee at Snow Road or getting some delicious crab cakes at Jake's Cakes you feel like you are right there! That is such a testament to the fantastic writing of an amazing author. The picture she paints with her words is just perfect and scenic!
You get a bit of angst with this story too, which I am a fan of. It's not all hearts and flowers. It feels real and sometimes heartbreaking, but it makes the story so much more.
I cannot wait to read more from this lovely little town and the lovely families that inhabit it. This is just the beginning of what I hope to be multiple stories from this town and the Knightly family!
I have said this before, but it's worth saying again....you cannot go wrong with reading a Meghan Quinn story!

I haven't read much of Quinn's newer books lately. So, when the opportunity to read this one, I jumped on it. I am a sucker for small town stories.
I jumped right into this book, hooked from the start. The book starts with a drunken night that left me chuckling. It leads into some fun and some heartbreaking moments. All of the inbetween kept me turning the pages.
I enjoyed all of the characters in this book. Ren and Griffin's story has a little bit of everything in it. There are some funny times, some sweet times, some sexy times, some heartbreaking times... My drawback with the characters is Ren. I felt for a character her age, her over-reactions were a bit much, immature. I wasn't feeling some of her responses to certain situations.
While I was excited for that ah-ha moment for Griffin in this book, it didn't leave me with what I had hoped for. It felt a bit cheesey, rushed, and forced. It was like, "oh, duh, why didn't I think of that" and everything was all of a sudden right with the world. I needed it to be a bit more of a complex discovery at that moment.
Overall, I enjoyed this book. I am most certainly looking forward to the upcoming books in this series. I can't wait to see what is in store for the other brothers.

Ahhhh I loved this book!!!
Ren and Griffin are amazing characters.
Ren needs a new start in life after a bad car accident last year she moves to Port Snow to start over only she doesn’t get off to the best start when a moose decides to run at her car.
Griffin has not had the best couple of years, he is still grieving and blaming himself but when he meets Ren he is struck and has a hard time staying away from her.
Can Ren break down Griffin’s walls? Will he be able to get over the past?
I cannot wait for more from the Knightly brothers!!!

That Second Chance by Meghan Quinn is the first book where we get to meet the Knightley brothers. I fell in love with them and with this small town in Maine. The book is set in Port Snow, Maine where everyone knows your name, is full of gossip and exaggerated stories and the good looking Knightley brothers.
This story will grab your heart, make you smile and make you swoon for Griffin Knightley. Griffin believes he will never love again thanks to a curse and fateful night in New Orleans. His family hopes that he can move on and start a new life. They meddle to help him along the way.
Ren moves to Port Snow to start a new life as the HS’s new Algebra teacher. She has a run in with a moose, and Griffin comes to her rescue. Their chemistry is immediate. They become friends and Griffin helps her to learn about Port Snow and all its charms and people.
From the start, Ren likes Griffin, but can he give in to temptation or will the curse prevent them from finding their happily ever after.
That Second Chance is a second chance rom-com at its finest. If you are a Meghan Quinn fan or haven’t read her yet (you must), take a visit to Port Snow and the Knightley brothers! You will not be disappointed. I cannot wait to read more about these hunky brothers.

4.5⭐
That Second Chance was an extremely delightful, absorbing and entertaining story. That easily captured my attention. Thanks not only to the charming, charismatic and lovable Knightly brothers, but the equally charming and quirky Ren. As well as a storyline that is the perfect mix of tender, sweet and funny.
And honestly, I could not put it down and really can't wait to read more from this series in the future.
Would happily recommend.

Holy hotness, another freaking fantastic book by Meghan Quinn!
Ren moves to Port Snow, a small town on the coast.
Griffin, born in said town, hot guy, working in the family business, troubled sad past, feels something for the first time for a woman again after 2 years.
Can he overcome his troubles?
Absolutely swoon worthy small town novel. You have your laugh out loud moments, tears are rolling down your face, sweating hot scenes, just everything! Meghan absolutely knows how to capture your attention. Can’t wait to read about the brothers!!!
I kindly received an arc for an honest review

am not a fan of your typical second chance romance books, but this is so different. I loved every moment of this one. I just love Griffin and his big heart. Ren is amazing also. She's funny as can be. I was laughing out loud from the very beginning.

The more I read from Meghan Quinn, the more I love her writing. I think it gets better and better with each book she writes. I find myself laughing so much and just falling in love with the characters!
That Second Chance was the perfect, small-town romance and it was filled with heart and soul

I'm definitely in the minority, but I didn't love this book. I liked it, and the town, family and friends were all great. But Griffen's belief in and reaction to the curse were just too unbelievable for me. And the withholding of info was rediculous. I will definitely look for the next in the series, but this one was just ok for me.

After Griffin and his brothers have a drunken encounter with a fortune teller in New Orleans, they return home to their small town of Port Snow, Maine. When tragedy strikes, Griffin thinks that the love curse cast on them by the fortune teller is real.
Ren, the newest resident and math teacher, arrives in town and needs to be rescued from a car after crashing into a tree while trying to avoid a moose on the road! Enter Griffin.
The two form a friendship that quickly blossoms into more, but Griffin won’t let himself get involved in a relationship that he thinks is doomed to be cursed.
The story is sweet and Meghan Quinn creates a good community of friends and family in the town that was introduced in Two Wedding Crashers. The brothers are all part of the story, and you will recognize people from the prior book. While I enjoyed the story, the hilarious bantering normally found in Meghan’s books was a bit toned down. Having said that, I absolutely believe it has the potential to be a great series.

I loved Port Snow. What a great small town where everybody knows your business. Not that I would want that for myself, but what a great community. I really enjoyed Ren and Griffin. Those two had some serious chemistry between them. So many great moments between them. I also loved that there are 3 other brothers and I can’t wait to read their stories.
