The Outback Brides Of Wirralong series is off to a flying start with this first story. Set in country Victoria this is a quick read but with plenty of action packed into its pages.
I loved the instant attraction between newly divorced Lacey Jerome and heartthrob police sergeant Cameron James, a man she’s struggled not to fall for because of his reputation for not committing to a relationship. Lacey quickly found her way into my heart when I learned the circumstances of her divorce and from that point on my respect for her grew as she coped with one issue after another. I was sold on Cameron when I saw how he reacted to listening to Lacey play the saxophone, an instrument that seemed to me to be perfectly matched to her name.
It’s difficult to say more about this story without giving away the plot but suffice to say there were plenty of moments where I smiled and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.

This book took me awhile to get into but once I did I really enjoyed it. The Outback Brides of Wirralong-Lacey by Fiona McArthur. A new series set in the beautiful Outback. Likable characters and great dialogue. The author knows how to bring a story together.

After spending a passionate night that lead to an unexpected pregnancy, you would think a storyline like this would draw my attention but no no! The relationship escalated far quickly than I have anticipated and the characters were so boring. So as much as I appreciate the ARC, it comes to no surprise that I've decided to dropped this series before making half way through.
