Due to a sudden, unexpected passing in the family a few years ago and another more recently and my subsequent (mental) health issues stemming from that, I was unable to download this book in time to review it before it was archived as I did not visit this site for several years after the bereavements. This meant I didn't read or venture onto netgalley for years as not only did it remind me of that person as they shared my passion for reading, but I also struggled to maintain interest in anything due to overwhelming depression. I was therefore unable to download this title in time and so I couldn't give a review as it wasn't successfully acquired before it was archived. The second issue that has happened with some of my other books is that I had them downloaded to one particular device and said device is now defunct, so I have no access to those books anymore, sadly.

This means I can't leave an accurate reflection of my feelings towards the book as I am unable to read it now and so I am leaving a message of explanation instead. I am now back to reading and reviewing full time as once considerable time had passed I have found that books have been helping me significantly in terms of my mindset and mental health - this was after having no interest in anything for quite a number of years after the passings. Anything requested and approved will be read and a review written and posted to Amazon (where I am a Hall of Famer & Top Reviewer), Goodreads (where I have several thousand friends and the same amount who follow my reviews) and Waterstones (or Barnes & Noble if the publisher is American based). Thank you for the opportunity and apologies for the inconvenience.

This is the second one in the series, and I would recommend to read the first one first. Just to make sure you don't miss any references. This book was gripping with action from the beginning until the very end. Recommended.

Action-packed and explosive throughout. I haven't read the first in the series but I didn't feel that mattered much and I was able to pick up the basic gist. It ends on a cliffhanger so I can't wait to read the final part!

Probably the best action packed thriller I've read so far. Fugitive 13 is the second of the series, and I would recommend reading Sleeper 13 first.
This book is even better than the first, and it was literally all action from start to finish.
I very much look forward to book 3 next year.

Last year I had the pleasure to join the blog tour for Sleeper 13 and read this gripping and thought-provoking novel about a MI6 agent trying to find and destroy the Farm, a secluded and remote place where a terrorist group trains children to kill and hate. Rachel Cox is the MI6 agent looking for the Farm. Aydin Torkal is Talatashar, number 13, one of the children who was trained at the Farm. Now, in FUGITIVE 13, Rachel is facing the consequences of the events in Sleeper 13, while Aydin is looking for the truth. Why did his father took him from his home and his family to send him to the Farm to become a terrorist?

Rachel is a strong and smart female character. Her search for the truth is dangerous and unpredictable, but she never backs down. Aydin is smart and determined, a survivor with a hard past, and I really felt for him as he remembers his time at the Farm and regrets the childhood and the family that was stolen from him.

FUGITIVE 13 is a fast-paced and intense spy-story that will take you from Spain to Egypt, from Afghanistan to Syria while Rachel and Aydin look for the truth, question loyalties and choose who to trust.

The world of FUGITIVE 13, and its prequel Sleeper 13, is relevant, realistic, and very scary and Rob Sinclair really knows how to capture the attention of the reader. There is never a dull moment, the tension is always high, and the characters are engaging and well-developed. I really love this series and I was delighted to find out that there is third book coming out next year that I can’t wait to read! FUGITIVE 13 is definitely one of the books to read this summer!!!

For this book to make complete sense I would recommend you read first in the trilogy, Sleeper 13, before starting this one. Also, it's a cracking read in itself so, why not!
So, continuing where we left off in book one, Aydin Torkal - sleeper 13 - is on the run. Hiding and plotting his revenge on those who put him in the position he now finds himself in, those on both side of terrorism. But he can't go it all alone and soon finds himself on the radar once again. MI6 agent Rachel Cox still believes in the good within Aydin and is continuing her own search for him, with a very different motivation to her superiors. When a message comes in from him advising her not to trust certain people, she has a tough decision to make. We also meet Nilay, Aydin's sister as she too attempts to track her brother down and get to the truth of what happened to him as a child at the Farm. With so much going on - all wrapped up in secrets and lies - I'm going to leave it to the author to crack on with telling you the story as I fear to say much more could spoil things.
It's no secret that I am a big fan of this author. From the very early days of the Enemy series, I have devoured every new release of his and enjoyed them all. There's something about the way he writes, the characters he creates, the stories he tells that just gels with me perfectly.
It's high octane stuff all the way through as, together with the characters, the race for the truth hots up. Containing topics that are, sadly, very prevalent in this day and age it becomes a very scary ride as the "truth" is not what was expected.
What makes this book/trilogy stand out is that it doesn't suffer from middle book syndrome. I have read several trilogies where the middle book doesn't really add too much to what has gone before, merely setting things up for the finale. This does not happen here, rather this is an action packed, thrilling ride all of its own. Yes, it does add fuel to the fire that will inevitable be sparked up in the conclusion but it is a very solid read in its own right. Only downside is that I have to wait for the conclusion - please don't make me wait too long.
My thanks go to the Publisher and Netgalley for the chance to read this book.

Fugitive 13 is the second book in the "13" triology by Rob Sinclair and is an enjoyable action thriller.

I had not read the previous book in the series and this was a bit of a hindrance at first but as the story developed it became less of an issue.

The story moves along at a cracking pace and I found it an enjoyable read overall

I had the pleasure of reading the authors first book in this series ‘Sleeper 13’ earlier in the year and I absolutely loved it. High action, fast paced, great characters, what was not to love. I finished the first book desperate to find out what happens next so I had a sneaky feeling before I even started this book that I was going to enjoy it.

The first few chapters did not disappoint and just like in any good action film, this book threw me right in the middle of the action with some great action packed chapters to whet my appetite.

I really enjoyed seeing how Aydin and Rachel’s character’s developed throughout this book and despite the fact that they appear to be on separate sides, they still seem to be working towards the same goal. Their differences and how they join together and these characters story in general made for a really enjoyable read.

Are there some parts that are slightly far fetched? Well yes. Aydin seems to succumb to horrific injuries yet still manage to plough on like a shire horse, but let’s face it, most action films also adopt this seemingly invincible style towards their main characters and I still enjoy them.

If you like action then I really think you would like this book. I hope there’s a further book to come in the series as I feel that Aydin and Rachel’s story is not quite finished.

Complex violent tale of terrorism which never really tells who is or isn't a good guy until very late in the story and even then questions remain to be answered in the third part to come! Spread across North Africa to Europe to Asia the pace and action is relentless I at times found it hard to have sympathy for hardly any of the leading characters but a good tale nonetheless!

Fugitive 13 is not the first Rob Sinclair book that I've read. I've read Sleeper 13, the first book in this series and I've also read his James Ryker books as well. So I knew what to expect from this book. But boy was I wrong!! Rob Sinclair takes this book and this series to a completely new level, a level where I had expected this book to go. This book was brilliantly crafted, the storyline brilliantly weaved making every single page more exciting than the last page. I read this book in a day, that's how much I was engrossed in this book. The character of Aydin Torkal/Talatashar is such a complex but brilliantly created one. He's the typical anti-hero for whom you feel at every level and every stage. And the best part of this book was that the ending went somewhere I didn't expect it to go to. Overall a brilliant book and a wonderful continuation to the wonderful series. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this book to anyone who wants to read a brilliant spy/terrorism thriller I'm looking forward to the final book in the series, Imposter 13, and can't wait to see how Rob Sinclair completes this entire story. And finally a big thank you to NetGalley and Orion Publishing Group for giving me this wonderful book in exchange of my honest review.

A superb follow up to Sleeper 13. Hitting the ground running, the story once again follows Aydin in his search for answers regarding the Farm and his father's and uncle's possible involvement. Billed as the world's most wanted terrorist, Aydin is on the run and against the clock as he searches for answers.

I loved this book. It is even better than Sleeper 13, if that's possible, and is a high octane, thrilling, rollercoaster of a read. Can't wait now for the final instalment in the trilogy, Imposter 13, which is due in 2020. Fugitive 13 is available in the UK and Ireland from mid-June. 5/5⭐

WOWSERS so much going on here... firstly it was pointed out to me that this is the second book in a trilogy so first thing I did was buy the first book "Sleeper 13" which is a must read before reading "Fugitive 13".

I read both books back to back and barely came up for air, I could not put them down.... absolutely loved it, its not normally the kind of book I go for but it was recommended to me as I had enjoyed "I am Pilgrim"! I cannot fault it

A chilling thriller with twist, turns, betrayals, exploitation, sleeper cells.... I could go on, the list is endless, suffice to say please read this, you will not regret it!

Many thanks to Netgalley and Orion Publishing Group for an advanced copy in exchange for my honest opinion.

Disclaimer : This book is the second part of the story, so you might want to catch up on the first part. I hadn't, so there were many links that did not fall into place in time for me. However, that does not take away from the action in this one.

Aydin is on run from both the good guys and the bad. The bad guys think him a traitor to their cause, which he is. The good guys are not accepting that he is in fact not aligned with the terror perpetrators, not anymore atleast. The story keeps switching between Aydin, Rachel (a non corrupt MI6 agent) and Aydin's sister who is searching for her brother and father. The action part of the story was well written. Rachel seems to be a solid character. The MI6 sequences also seem genuine and not overly forced in the military sense.

Loyalties keep getting tested, realities keep changing, truth is getting blurred. Who are the real bad guys ? Something that will nag your mind even after the book is done. Sometimes, people are just pushed into bad situations without any knowledge of the cause. My heart goes out to all the young children in the ISIS affected regions, losing their childhood to such barbarians and brainwashed at such a young age. Aydin is one boy, set out to learn the truth and reveal the true purpose behind the creation of 'The Farm' where young children are tortured in the name of training. Rachel is the only who believes in him and his intentions.

A lot of the plot was thrilling, but I was getting a little confused since I had not read the first book. I would have liked to read about Aydin changing sides. So many of the scenes were heart breaking and yet the story required the ruthlessness to make a point. Some bad mangoes in a crate force the entire crate to be subjected to scrutiny. Aydin's character is so well written. Whip smart, adaptable and determined, what a formidable combination. Rachel, in this part of the series, takes a back seat, I guess. Not much for her to do in this plot other than follow Aydin's crumbs. Aydin takes the center stage. The end again is left with so many loop holes. Questions which will be answered only in the third book, I believe. But I am looking forward to reading more about Mr.Grey and his backstory.

An excellent read, full of tense moments and trying to work out who are the good guys and who's lying.
Very well researched and a great follow on from Sleeper 13.
I love the style of writing from Rob Sinclair and I'm not surprised his other novels have been hits.
Looking forward to the third book in the trilogy.

Having read and enjoyed the first book in the series I was keen to read Fugitive 13 to see where the story would lead.
Featuring the same characters - Aydin and Rachel it is the story of Aydin’s quest for revenge on those who kept him captive at the Farm and tried to turn him into a terrorist, particularly the Teacher who made his live a misery.
He needs to find the Farm and then confront the terrorists that run it as well as finding out if his father is truly dead and why he’d taken him to such an awful place.
Taken there as a young boy he does not know where it is so he is forced to find documents that can help him locate it. Somehow MI6 is involved and he is forced to steal some computer files from them in order to achieve his goal.
In this book we also hear Nilay’s story, Aydin’s sister who is searching for her father and brother.
This book is full of betrayals on all sides, neither Aydin, nor Rachel Cox, the MI6 agent, know who to trust. Who is telling the truth? Rachel has sympathy for Aydin but her own side want to capture him as they fear what he might find out.
This is an action packed thriller which barely paused for breath. Just as Aydin had to keep moving, so did the plot and I had to keep reading to see what would be revealed.
The theme of betrayal seems to run throughout the book as everyone in it is betrayed at some point.
Aydin is a great character; despite his background he really is a good person and his actions throughout the book are all calculated to close down the Farm and save others from a fate like his own.
However when I reached the end I discovered that the book is part of a trilogy so I will have to wait a while for all the loose ends to be tied up.
This book is perfect for those who like action adventure and espionage novels.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for my arc in exchange for an honest review.

I hadn't read the first of this series before reading this one but it didn't really matter, any back story was explained.
I enjoyed this story, even though it tends not to be my usual genre.

Warning! Fugitive 13 will seriously disrupt any routine you may normally have - and life as you know it is very likely be put on hold as this gripping follow up to ‘Sleeper 13’ demands your undivided attention! Well it certainly did mine!

Aydin Torkal is on the run from his enemies, and who are his enemies, you might ask? Well, for starters there are the world’s intelligence agencies, but in addition, he’s also being hunted by his former ‘brothers’ - elite jihadi insurgents who he has betrayed.

For the last year Aydin has successfully gone to ground, but now he’s ready to hunt down those responsible for his horrendous childhood in an Isis training camp in the Middle East - he was taken from his home by his own father - taken away from a normal happy family life in the UK, to a training camp, and turned into an elite insurgent soldier. Whilst in the training camp, these very young kids (besides being brutalised themselves) were also made to take part in, and witness horrific levels of violence. Now it’s time for revenge!

MI6 agent Rachel Cox is probably the only person in the world who believes that Aydin is on the side of right in the fight against terrorism, so when she receives a coded message from him telling her not to trust her colleagues, she has to decide whether her faith in him is justified.

The issue of global terrorism is of course, very relevant today, and author Rob Sinclair has written a superb follow up to the already exceptional Sleeper 13. I’ve only given an outline of this utterly gripping novel because it’s such a brilliant series, that honestly deserves to be read, but suffice to say, it was unputdownable, intense and pulsing with energy, there was relentless action, and it was exceptionally well written too - Brilliant!

A fast moving thriller, full of unpredictable twists and turns. Good lead characters, and as the story develops you're perception of heroes and villains constantly changes. This can be read as a standalone but I would recommend giving yourself the extra pleasure of reading Sleeper 13 first. Thanks to Orion and Netgalley for providing me with this roller coaster read.
