An example is given early on about how there was an attempted clash years ago between The Promise Keepers and the N.O.W. movement. This was both a physical and spiritual clash. The physical fight was more not like a fist fight but more like a taunting by the women.
There is also some history of the author included in this book. And I liked his story about fighting and it not exactly being the regular story that you might expect. He also wove it together with God wanting women to fight in the spiritual war that is going on whether they realize it or not. But he does want us to know and fight side by side together WITH men.
Anne Loche who is Billy Graham's daughter is mentioned in this book. Some of the religious prejudice against her by men was also mentioned. Her father, said that he saw her as the really strongest preacher in the family . This is not the first time that I have heard this but what a shame that her gender was used against her. I really liked her response in the Time magazine where she said that for men or people who had a problem with her preaching that they needed to take it to God. I said all that to bring up one of the points of the book that was the gender gap needs to be closed in the church and that it IS a spiritual battle. That we are to compliment not compete against each other. There are scriptural references included in this book.
I liked the view the author gave about how one of satan's fears is what woman are going to do to him. Scripture supports those as true things to fear.
He does use scripture time and again to look at how women were used by God and that the fact of it is often forgotten or overlooked. It gave me a new look and a deeper one at scriptures I already knew and had also undervalued.
Even with those benefits that I got from the book, I still have to say that at times I did find it a little bit dry. And the author did take a few flights of fantasy of what God could have been thinking about certain things as they were happening or about to happen. Not sure that I enjoyed that so much.

This book needs to be lauded from every rooftop and public square! In a time of feminism and cries of equality for women, it is time for us to be reminded of how very sacred they are. Women were born sacred, and need to step into their role as the beautiful, strong and cherished creation that they are! Women: God's Secret Weapon had me wanting to stand up and cheer while simultaneously hugging the author breathless. Thank you, Ed Silvoso, for writing this breathtaking book that healed parts of my soul that I never thought would heal.
