This isn't a bad book, but it kept reminding me of other "vampires in the city" novels. The mystery at the beginning is pretty intriguing, and it has a satisfyingly suspenseful ending. I like the writing style and the lead character, a female detective, while I can't say she was relatable, she was very likable.

Friends of the Hub is about Detective Brooke's brush with the horrors she finds in East Boston. There are a dozen mutilated bodies and one dead suspect. If it were that simple. No, to make matters vampires are attacking with no end in site.
This supernatural novel was quite enjoyable and one that I would read again.
If you enjoy vampire novels, then this is the book for you.
