Rachel's Pudding Pantry is about Rachel, her five year old daughter Maisy and Rachel's mother, Jill, who all live together on a farm which is struggling to pay for itself!

Jill makes delicious bakes, and so they get the idea to sell her puddings and cakes in a local shop.

Tom is their nearest neighbour, and the person who has helped them the most since Jill's husband and Rachel's father died two years ago.

This was a lovely book, with lots of delicious puddings and cakes mentioned throughout, and gives you a feeling of what it would be like to be a farmer.

It was an enjoyable, sweet read, and Christmas at Rachel's Pudding Pantry came out in October, so I'm off to read that!

Rachel's Pudding Pantry was published on 18th April 2019, and is available to buy on Amazon and on Waterstones. I've found a link to where you can search for local bookshops, including independent!

Good. Interesting characters and ideas. Even though it's a nice romantic read there are some darker moments which are dealt with in a sensitive manner.

Great book, lovey to hear about Rachel and her mum Jill’s adventures with their family ups and downs and baking their troubles away

This was a a nice easy read. Just your typical girly book about two childhood friends finally realising they love each other. I’ve read The Chocolate Shop series by Caroline as well so I’ll definitely continue to pick up her books and I’m looking forward to the Christmas Pudding Pantry book coming out

A sweet and cosy story by Caroline Roberts. The characters were lovable and made reading the book all the more enjoyable. A great chic lit book!

A rather obvious but sweet romance, that gives you exactly what you’re expecting.
Our main character, Rachel, has pretty much taken over the running of the family farm since her dad committed suicide a couple of years earlier. She’s resourceful, a dab hand with a tractor and pretty tough when it comes to the nitty-gritty reality of farm life. Her mother helps out as much as she can, mainly by looking after Rachel’s daughter.
We seem to spend a lot of time learning some of the ins and outs of farm life. We get introduced to neighbour Tom, the obvious love interest, and it seems to take Rachel forever to grasp the fact he fancies her.
Alongside the slow-to-unravel romance, we have the fact that life on a farm is tough. There’s not much money in it, and people have to get resourceful. Step up the side-story of Rachel and her mum setting up a family business as a cafe/cake company.
While the reality would, I’m sure, be a lot tougher sometimes you need that sense of escapism. Roberts serves it up by the bucketful...but there’s lots of descriptions of lovely cake, and everything ends up looking fine by the end.
Thanks to NetGalley for allowing me to read this in exchange for my review.

Definitely do not read this book if you’re hungry or most definitely dieting as you’ll want to eat everything you read about and will do all the wrong things to your waistline!

This is a bit of a heartbreaking story with the loss of Rachel’s dad. I’ll let you read it to find out what happened. I ugly cried for this beautiful family!

But they turned it all around and built a business. A truly mouth-wateringly tasty business!!

A must read for everyone in my eyes!!

What a joy this was to read. A fresh storyline involving a farm in financial difficulties, a mum who is a great cook, a daughter who is something of an entrepreneur and a gorgeous neighbour. Stir it all together and come up with this great storyline
Thoroughly recommended as a relaxing and fun read!

A cosy read set in the beautiful Northumbrian countryside where farming diversification is almost mandatory. A lovely plot and characters. I only wish the characters would stop preceding sentences with “hah”.

This was a real let down.
I found the story slow, repetitive and very predictable which equals a boring story.
Disappointing.

A heartwarming book full of believable characters set against a beautiful backdrop. Rachael, her mother Jill and daughter Maisie are recovering from a family tragedy and also having to face the financial reality of farming life. In an effort to increase their income Rachel and Jill set up the Pudding Pantry selling mouthwatering desserts and cakes. The story follows their journey supported by their close friends and community. A book full of family, love, laughter, romance and puddings, I am really looking forward to seeing what the future brings for them all in the sequel. (There are even recipes for some of their delicious puddings at the back of the book).

This is lovely, and moving story about two women who are trying hard to rebuild their lives on a farm in the country in Northumberland. Jill, whose husband hung himself after struggling to make ends meet on the farm, and her daughter Rachel, who is struggling to also make ends meet, and trying to think of a way of earning extra income.
Her friend Evie, who makes and sells soft toys, and other things on Etsy, suggest that they start a Pudding Pantry in the barn. As Jill is a wizard cook, they decide to start small, by selling some puddings to a local bakery, and then if that works, they will turn the barn into a tea shop and sell Jill's bakes, drinks (tea and coffee), and some of Evie's handicrafts as well.
The only fly in the ointment is Jake - who is Rachel's small daughter Maisie - Dad, and he turns up asking to see her. He is very unreliable and Rachel is loathe to trust him, worrying it will break Maisie's heart. Rachel is also reluctant to admit it, but she is in love with the local farmer, Tom, who has helped them out on many occasions.
This is a feel-good novel, with superb characters, and a plot, that leads you on to read more and more.
