This was an amazing book, thoroughly enjoyable. This was the first book I have read by Caroline Roberts, but it certainly won’t be the last.
The book drew me in from the first chapter, the characters were very likeable and relatable and the book also explored the problems that farmers face these days, having to diversify to keep afloat. Hence the title and the need for Rachel and her mum to open a tea shop, and produce puddings for a local delicatescence. The book is all about family, friends, and a strong sense of loyalty. The recipes for puddings at the back of the book were an inspired touch.
The four generations of the Swinton family ( I have to include Maisie who had some brilliant one liners) all pull together to keep the farm afloat. The book was about a community pulling together and had a real feel good factor.
Thank you to Netgalley, Harper Impulse and Caroline Roberts for giving me the chance to review this book in exchange for an honest review

A lovely, sweet, even if slightly predictable story. The book was well written and easy to read and I enjoyed it. Smashing holiday reading ideally while drinking a very pleasant wine & eating a highly calorific pudding.

This book was simply sublime ! It is adorable, sweet and speaks of family love and ties that bind us together during the most difficult of times. . I love the story of a Mother, Daughter and Granddaughter in grief trying to keep the family farm business going through difficult times. When they pull together and it looks like curtains for their beloved farm, the daughter discovers her Mother's baking may save them. She starts a baking business and soon she is in demand as the toast of the town.,

This is a lovely book with fantastic recipes and a nice sweet romance . I love the author's way of building a well crafted multi layered plot and each of her charcters are endearing. I am a fan of the author's writing and always enjoy her books. Thank you to the publisher and to Net Galley for the opportunity. I highly recommend this book and I guarantee it will make you hungry ! This will appeal to all foodies, lovers of women's fiction and those that love a great comeback story.

A fascinating story that keeps you interested by the insights into farming life and the diversity that we see happening now. Recommended to those who enjoy reading this type of book.

An ok story.

It wasn't a gripping read until the last third of the book, where you don't want to put it down, but it was a good read, I'd say it starts slowly then builds towards the end .It was an easy read and would be a good summer beach read.

A lovely warm story about a family of three women on a farm trying to cope with recent tragedy and move on to a happy future. The highlight is the puddings... They are written so you can taste them, and there are a couple of recipes included. Totally predictable, but warm and comforting like a good pudding should be

Having read and loved loved loved The Cosy Seaside Chocolate Shop, I was so looking forward to reading Rachel's Pudding Pantry by Caroline Roberts.

Firstly before you start reading, you need to make sure you have an endless supply of puddings and cakes as this book makes you so hungry throughout with all it's delicious and mouth watering puddings!

Many farms today are struggling in the current tough climate so they are having to diversify and this is exactly what Jill, Rachel and Maisy did - an incredible force, a wonderful family team. After losing her Dad in horrific circumstances, Rachel and her Mum Jill, tried to keep their farm, Primrose Farm going, however it was not easy and they were always struggling to make ends meet. And then Rachel had a cracking idea! They opened up a Pudding Pantry!

The family together pulled it off and together with their wonderful neighbours, friends and family turned it into a magical Pantry! Baking helped Jill with her grief and working with Rachel and creating the Pudding Pantry helped them both move forward and create a magical future for them all.

Intertwined with the story of the life at the farm , the family pulling together and the Pudding Pantry, is the wonderful romantic story between Tom and Rachel, Tom is one of her farming neighbours, who has been a tremendous help since Rachel's Dad passed away, and they make an incredible wonderful couple and Tom and Maisy adore each other too! I loved how Tom showed his love for Rachel! #ILoveYou

Set in the beautiful North Northumberland countryside, this is the story of however tough times have been in the past, however hard it is, you have to try and remain positive, push forward and try and turn lives around and this is certainly what they all did and how proud would her Dad have been of what they achieved.

The recipes in the back of the book are such a wonderful idea and I can't wait to try them out!

An absolutely utterly delightful book - treat yourself, you won't regret it! I found it so hard to put down, loved all the characters and thoroughly enjoyed learning so much about the farming angle.

I can't wait for Christmas at Rachel's Pudding Pantry which is out on 31st October!

There are lots of chick-lits that are set 'in the country', but so far I haven't read one that really depicts country life & farming. Not until now! Because heroine Rachel literally has to get her hands and wellies dirty to take care of her cattle and sheep. Unfortunately, all the hard work is not enough to support herself, her widowed mother and her little daughter Maisie. The ladies need to diversify, and since Grandma Jill is a gifted baker with a speciality in puddings, their new business plan is soon under way.

I really liked the descriptions of the farm life. Caroline Roberts is quite detailled in her writing about Rachels work (and thoughts), maybe even a bit too detailled because it slows down the general flow of the story. But I actually didn't mind this leisurely pace.
Although there are several obstacles along the way for the three inhabitans of Primrose Farm, mostly of the monetary kind. But the reader is confident that it all works out well in the end, even if Rachel herself is not always that upbeat about her situation. But what else would you expect in this type of book!

A nice (and mouth-watering) chick-lit with very likable characters and a welcome change of setting for me.

First time for me to read a book by Caroline Roberts and I can already tell you, it won't be the last! I loved this book so so much! It's so well written and the feeling you have when reading it is a well-being feeling. Every time I had to close the book because I had to do something else I was sighing and I was telling myself "what a great book this is!". This story is about love but also about women entrepreneur and I loved this side about this book! I absolutely recommend this book!

What a lovely heartwarming book.
Rachel, her mum Jill and her daughter Maisie live on Primrose Farm. Things are not easy and it’s getting harder to keep afloat then Rachel comes up with Rachel’s Pudding Pantry . Will things work out or will the pudding crumble .You will have to read it to see

An easy to read and super sweet offering from Caroline Roberts, who has a knack of bringing to life such warm and wonderful characters. And in this book she isn't afraid to confront some darker subjects and how it has affected the family.

Rachel lives on the family farm, with her daughter Maisie ( a total sweetheart who isn't afraid of asking a question or three!) and her mother Jill. Their family has had to overcome such tragedy in the past but it has bought them all closer and that closeness is needed now as they face the trouble of farming and the financial struggle which often comes with it. This is a family who aren't afraid of a battle and they just want to do what is right to remember those that they've lost.

The art of keeping busy keeps them all going through the tougher times and the closeness of their friends and the local community comes through in bucketloads, and the support that her friend and neighbour Tom shows is clear for all to see and they both understand the sacrifices and hard work that is required when farming. I think we'd all like a neighbour like Tom!!

Add to the mix the copious amount of baking to try and diversify and help with the farm finances, that will have you drooling and your tummy rumbling constantly! I found this to be an enchanting escape and look forward to more visits to Primrose Farm in the future - there's a sequel coming later this year!!

This was a light hearted, easy read but I’m afraid I found it a little whingey in places. The characters were all likeable although the main character Rachel was sometimes a little painful and moaned a lot. It was also slightly annoying how the death of Rachel’s Dad was constantly referred to but never revealed what happened until over half way through the story. The set up of the pantry also seemed a little unrealistic – do grants really come through that quickly and easily? Overall it was ok, but not my favourite read sorry.

I love a feel good book but this one just really didn’t quite do it for me. I felt most concerned for Jill and constantly being exploited, especially in a major time of need. I’m also a vegan and found the many references towards animal slaughter very unnecessary. I spent the whole book worrying about the pet lambs safety!

DNF - just not the book for me. I loved the concept behind it but I just felt like it was rather slow and I just couldn't find myself connecting to any characters at all.

A Shame as I have loved all her other books.

Thoroughly enjoyed this title, a really easy read, great for a holiday book list. Getting to know Rachel, her family & friends & of course the gorgeous neighbour Tom was truly uplifting. I found myself racing through the pages to discover how it ended!

A story that will make your mouth water, your heart race and your mind happy and content - perfect for fans of Debbie Johnson, Cathy Bramley and Jenny Colgan.

I’ve really been struggling with getting into my reading since I lost my mum in April but this book had me hooked, I even chose this book over social media which is saying something as I’m such a social media addict !!

I loved the relationship between Rachel and her mum Jill, it reminded me of the happy times I shared with my mum. I have my own cake making business which my mum inspired me to start and I certainly got a lot of inspiration from the Pudding Pantry. I am glad there was a couple of recipes included at the end, I’m going to make Jill’s sticky toffee pudding for sure as it was always a winner in the story.

My favourite character was Tom because he was such a knight in shining armour sort of character. My least favourite character was Jake , he was the total opposite of Tom in the fact that he was so unreliable and a creep.

I look forward to the sequel.
