I really enjoyed this book it reminded me of a book a while ago The Ballroom Cafe, The book is light easy reading and I found it perfect to read in between reading physiological thrillers. Highly recommend this book as a sun lounger read.

Despite a dark event from the past casting a shadow over the main characters a light read. A farm setting, a young child and lots of reference to cakes and puddings make this a good summer romance. Also provides recipes if temptation is too much.

I really really wanted to love this book, I had heard many other readers enjoying it! But I really struggled through the first half it really annoyed me that the referral to Rachel’s dad was constant but never revealing what happened until over half way through! It was hard to understand how the family felt when you didn’t know what had actually happened. The whole part of setting up the pudding pantry was unrealistic from only baking in the morning to grants being produced so quickly. I was angry when her best friend Eve who seems to help out constantly is going to sell her craft makes in the cafe and Rachel says she will take a cut of the money, why? It would be minuscule but to do it to someone who constantly had your best interests was mean! I felt Rachel was dangling poor Tom on a string and it only really got interesting 3 chapters from the end I enjoyed it once they finally got together and then it all abruptly ended! After her chats with Eve we don’t get to hear Rachel share the news or even have the joy of her telling Maisie who’s desperate for a father?! Even Rachel’s poor mum Jill who I felt was so hard done by constantly baking and babysitting whilst getting over the suicide of her husband! All in this book was very disappointing!

A delightful book. Loved the plot, characters and setting. I enjoyed the author’s writing and will be reading more of her books.

Although the story was okay, the writing was very basic and repetitive. I found the author over explaining the characters back stories again and again, and thinking, yes I know, you've already told us this, maybe she was trying to get the word count highter!
However I did enjoy the story and found myself rooting for the two main characters.

It is what it is - fun, no challenge to read or deep storylines - but well written, brilliant characters and a great way to pass some time.

This is a delightful, heartwarming novel set in the beautiful landscape of Northumbria which I really enjoyed. A cosy book about family, loss, grief, relationships, struggles and new beginnings.

A fabulous read of community spirit, countryside and delicious cakes and puddings. I recommend this book - a lovely, heartwarming uplifting story. I would love to read a sequel.

I look forward to reading more from Caroline Roberts.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

I absolutely loved this book. Rachel loves Primrose Farm and looking after the farm animals. Things are very financially troubled since they lost her dad and she needs to find a way to inject much needed cash into the family farm.
Her mum is a fantastic baker and opening a 'pudding pantry' seems to be the ideal solution to all their worries. It sounded so idyllic and I would love to have the chance to visit and sample some of the tasty food. Added to that, a handsome neighbour who adds a touch of romance. Wonderful read.
I take my daughter to a day farm once a week and I have loved finding books set on farms and feeling like I can visualise life inside the pages of the book.
I have already seen that there is a Christmas book due, that I can't wait to read!

A nice, quick read. Ideal for when you’re looking for something fun and not too deep.
Rachel is struggling financially to keep the family farm running and has the idea to start a pudding business/cafe with her mum to bring in extra money, her mum loves to cook and is struggling after her husband’s death. Then mix in the supporting characters with a bit of romance with the neighbouring farmer, who is a lovely character and there’s the useless ex and father to her child getting in the way. The book may not be overly plausible, but it’s a fun read with a few genuinely emotional moments and leaves you feeling happy. What more can you want?

As the Sunday Times review says ' Family,Friends, and fabulous food'!!!!!!! nothing could be more true.
The family farm is struggling and the three generations that live there are having difficulty making ends meet.
They come up with the idea of making use of their baking talents to find ways of improving their income .
Alongside this runs the complexities of Rachael's relationship with her neighbour Tom who is determined to help them as much as he can.
This is a happy feel good book that makes you think about baking something good and if you read it at bedtime leaves you with happy thoughts.
Thank you to Net Galley for providing me with an ARC of this book. Now I am waiting for Caroline Robert's next book'

A gorgeous read from Caroline Roberts, if I am honest it took me a few pages to get into this one, but once in I couldn’t put it down.
The story centres around Rachel, her daughter Maisy and her Mum Jill, who are left to try and keep the farm going after tragic circumstances. With the farm declining they need to diversify, welcome to the pudding pantry. Throw in the ups and downs of having the Hunky Tom as your next door neighbour and a will they won’t they .... And then the ex (Maisie’s dad) turning back up!
A heartwarming read that’ll have you wishing for an old fashioned pudding with a dollop of custard.

I loved this book thank you netgalley for letting me read this book for an honest opinion. I have read quite a few books by the author and loved them and this certainly didn't disappoint. This book is about a 24 year old called Rachel who lives at the family farm with her mother jill and daughter maisey they lost her father about 2 years ago so the family are still struggling to come to terms with this and keeping the farm going. So they decide to use her mother's famous baking skills to try to help with funds. They have a few problems along the way and maisey's father who has barely been around since she was born turns up to disrupt everything to. There is also a very nice hunky neighbour called Tom who helps out a lot. I was so excited to see there will be another book out at Christmas can't wait to carry on the adventures at primrose farm.

Maisie is 5 going on 15 according to her mum Rachel and loves helping out with lambing or baking or being a waitress she does it all
Rachel hides a dark secret that almost destroys her but she pulls herself up and helps her mum make the Pudding Pantry a success

I absolutely loved this book. The book follows the story of Rachel who is a single mother and is trying to run a farm that has come into financial difficulty. She has to find a way to bring income in so they don’t have to close the farm. That is when she comes up with the idea of opening a pudding pantry in one of the farms barns. All while she is doing this she is trying to suppress her feelings for her neighbour and friend Tom. There is a halt ending but I don’t want to ruin the book by saying. I can’t wait for the next book in the series!

I loved this book and all the puddings in it! It's a lovely story of love, friendship, family and how those things can help us get through. I loved the addition of the recipes at the end and might even be brave enough to try a few! I'll definitely be recommending it as a must read for anyone who needs cheering up and a bit more pudding in their life.
