We can all dream and this is what I love about a great story. I escaped to Rachel’s Pudding Pantry. I fell in love with the farm, it brought back great memories for me being a farmers daughter, it reminded me of my relationships with all my family and finally the happiness and the journey of falling in love.
Rachel lives and runs her farm with her daughter Maisie and her mum Jill. She needs to raise money to keep the farm afloat. This is their story, told with totally believable characters, heartwarming and enjoyable, a must read.

I couldn't get enough of this book and took every opportunity to read it.
From the first page with the words 'golden light ablaze over the vista of the Cheviot Hills, the sky above filled with cloudy trials of mauve, grey and orange' I was watching the sun set in Northumberland in my mind.
A family tragedy means Rachel has had to run the family farm with her Mum Jill and is a single Mum to Maisie aged 5. Times are tough and therefore Rachel has to think of ways to increase the income and because Jill makes wonderful puddings the idea of the Pudding Pantry comes to mind.
This story follows the running of the farm and the Pudding Pantry, with puddings that sounded delicious and had my mouth watering. In addition there is Tom, the neighbouring farmer who Rachel has known all of her life, dependable, handsome and supportive but can Rachel see past the friendship to something more?
An absolutely delightful read that I would very highly recommend.

Rachel’s Pudding Pantry was a great book, I loved it.
A struggling farm, an estranged father, some great friendships and some good home cooking. Rachel and her mum Jill turn the farm around with some well loved recipes.
I was hooked from the start.
My first book by this author but definitely not my last.

Set in a farming community, story of two women setting up a cafe to raise money to save their farm with a slow love story. Cosy fiction. Decent enough read if you like the food based women’s fiction sub genre!

I enjoyed this book. Yes, it was predictable, but it was just a nice easy read (a great one to read on holiday). The setting of this story was described with an obvious love if the area and it has resulted in me planning a trip. It’s not an overly exciting plot, but it is one that makes you want to read the next chapter. I can’t wait to read what happens next.

Thank you so much to NetGalley for letting me get my hands on a copy of this absolute gem before publication day. This is a total feel-good book that gets you craving cosy comforts. I loved how Rachel showed that women are just as strong as men and that women can do the same hands on and muscle busting work that men do on a farm. I love how family oriented the whole book is and that families come in all shapes and sizes and aren’t always blood related. This book was funny, amazing, uplifting, heart wrenching and heart warming all at once. I got a lump in my throat when I found out what happened to Rachel’s dad, but I get the feeling that he would have been proud of what she achieved. I was routing for Tom and Rachel to sort themselves out and get together, you can tell they were the perfect match. I found this book highly addictive, very enjoyable and utterly mouth watering with all the talk about those delicious desserts. I look forward to the sequel 😜.
PS I definitely recommend you grab yourself a copy of this when it is published on 18/4/19.

Rachel’s Pudding Pantry by Caroline Roberts is a deliciously wonderful feel-good contemporary offering. It will warm your heart and soul.
The novel is a real assault on all your senses, with much of the action around puddings. The reader can almost ‘taste’, ‘smell’ and ‘see’ the delicacies. My taste buds were awakened as I read. It is very pleasing to have recipes included at the back of the book.
The characters are as warm and welcoming as the kitchen they cook in. The majority are female with the nurturing touch that wraps around the reader. The characters are multi-generational as three generations try to recover from a tragedy.
Much of the action is set on a Northumberland farm. Comprehensive descriptions enable the reader to ‘walk’ through the landscape.
There is the theme of trust. Past events mean that caution is exercised in affairs of the heart.
Friends are important. A small close knit community ensures that your business belongs to everyone. The upside is that people care and band together to offer love and support when needed.
I adored Rachel’s Pudding Pantry. I ‘felt’ included in the novel. The characters were not just characters in a book I gained friends along the way. I cannot wait to read more from Caroline Roberts.
Pick up Rachel’s Pudding Pantry, where a warm welcome awaits, today.
I received this book for free. A favourable review was not required and all views expressed are my own.

This is a lovely heartwarming story, with friends, family and neighbours, pulling together in times of need to help each other out. After the loss of her father,Rachel takes over the running of the family farm with the help of her mother Jill. Whilst trying to cope as a lone parent to her 5 year old daughter,Rachel has some tough times ahead and even tougher decisions to make to try and keep the farm going. After Jill puts on her pinny again and starts baking again, an idea is born. Grab a copy of this book and read for yourself the journey these women take.

Simply delicious , like sitting down to afternoon tea with a friend but you will be craving sticky toffee pudding at the end of it! I enjoyed the strong theme of family loyalty and love running through the story and could almost taste the delicious puddings described. Read it all in one cosy afternoon and felt thoroughly relaxed and smily at the end of it.

Three generations of women are living at Primrose Farm, they have lost their husband, father, grandfather and whilst still reeling from the event they are struggling to hold on to everything that is dear to them. Including the farm.

Rachel has taken on the mantle of farmer and not afraid to get her hands dirty or spend sleepless nights with lambing ewes, nothing is a bother even looking after her own small child, Maisie.

Jill, Rachel's mum is famed for her baking and her pudding, although Rachel is just as good. as she emerges from a stage of grief, Jill takes to making puddings for more than just her family.

A small idea is transformed in a bigger one and when Jill and Rachel take on something on a larger scale it has to work to keep the farm going.

With any of these gentle tales, nothing quite goes to plan and that is what makes it such a lovely story to read, you are drawn right into the story, into the farm, the kitchen and the smells of the baking as you care immediately about all the characters and what happens to them.

Add in a big dollop of romance and all the fresh air of the countryside positively goes to your head. Tom the neighbouring farmer, attractive and still single, who is willing to help with whatever countryside or pudding emergency might be required. Can romance blossom over sticky toffee pudding and sheep? Or will exes, children and misunderstandings get in the way?

I found this book such a joyous and uplifting read and showed you that you can diversify when you need to and keep those around you as close as you can - they will love you the most.

A great read and if you like your stories, full of cake and countryside then this is a must. Think Countryfile and Mary Berry mixed together!

This is a lovely, heartwarming tale. It’s not a fast-paced gripping page-turner but it is a lovely, mellow story that’ll make you feel warm inside. The characters are easy to like and the cake descriptions made me gain weight just reading about them!

I’ve read some of Caroline’s books in the past and what I love most about them is that they are set locally (ish anyways!) I love the north eastern language that Caroline uses in her novels. When I seen she was writing a new book I was so excited to read it especially as it had the word Pudding in the title (I have such a terrible sweet tooth!)

Caroline sucks you into the story from the off when we meet Rachel, Jill and the lovely Maisy and their amazing animals on Primrose Farm. Rachel explains her life on Primrose Farm and how they are struggling (in more ways than one) She is a single parent trying to juggle the farm and parenting and I for one think she is an inspiration. Jill, Rachel’s Mother is a massive help to Rachel with managing tasks at home and helping with childcare, she is the most supportive parent to Rachel and what more could you possibly ask for!?

Rachel and Jill face some touch challenges throughout this story but I find it touching how they also have some special friends to help out, the lovely Eve and the delectable Tom (Swoon!!!) Where do I start with all of these delicious puddings.....Caroline had me craving chocolate pudding and sticky toffee pudding especially but all of the dishes were described in so much detail I wanted to be a regular customer at the Pudding Pantry! 😋 To sit and have a cup of tea and a slice of cake with Rachel and the gang would have been very comforting.

There were moments in this story that were so unexpected (I had to put the book down for one cliffhanger so my partner could sleep but I was upset to have to put it down!) Caroline had me feeling all sorts of emotions and I wasn’t aware of anything happening around me when I was reading ‘Rachel’s Pudding Pantry’ I didn’t read it too quickly as I wanted to savour each page.

‘Rachel’s Pudding Pantry’ is about family, loss, love, sticking together and most of all having the courage to build things up again 😊❤️ This has to be my favourite story by Caroline that I have read so far. I therefore give ‘Rachel’s Pudding Pantry’ a praiseworthy 5*/5*!!

Thank you to Caroline Roberts for writing such a beautiful story and to Emilie Chambeyron at Harper Fiction for an advanced copy of this book.

This is a lovely uplifting story of a family struggling to hang on to the family farm . Rachel needs to find a way to make money to keep a roof over the heads of her mum Jill and daughter Maisie whilst holding on to the farm in a beautiful part of Northumberland. The descriptions of the farm and the scenery make you want to visit particularly when coupled with the account of the puddings Jill turns out daily. It’s a cosy read but problems come Rachel’s way that the give the story an edge . Luckily there is Tom ,the next door farming neighbour to help out , he’s guaranteed to set the local women’s hearts fluttering and even Rachel may prove not to be immune to his charms. This was a great book to lose myself in for the weekend and the recipes at the end will be made and appreciated on a rainy Sunday afternoon .

Rachel works on the farm with her mum Jill, a great baker, her young five year old daughter Maisy, farm hand Simon and her dog Moss. Food is at the heart of this novel as they all enjoy Jill's cooking everyday sampling her delights.

Since her father's sudden death two years ago she took over the bulk of the work while they tried to recover and carry on despite the farm's struggle to make any money.

Trying to fix that, Rachel thinks selling her mum's puddings locally and on site will help boost their income after some investment to help set up a better life for them and Maisie's future when she inherits the farm one day too.

Along with Eve her crafty best friend as she can create amazing crafts and her daughter Amelia being Maisie's best friend, the girls help each others business ventures take off.

But as the novel goes on we see how flaky dad Jake flits in and out getting Maisie's hope up of being around more to spend time with her and angering Rachel and her family treating them this way.

As well as all that, farmer next door Tom and Rachel finally face the spark between then only to find out a past secret about Rachel's father might put out that spark for good...

This book is all for girl team family power, really positive making the girls run their own new business and try to save their livelihood whilst Tom was a fun guy who shows evident care about them all from the first encounter we read. I also like that Tom doesn't break up the girl power and encourages them unlike flaky Jake whom shows how unreliable some parents can be! It was a sweet treat of a read and is best read with a cake and a cuppa in hand under the sun, you certainly won't regret it!

Many thanks to the publishers for allowing me to review this book for them!

A great story that isn't too intense when reading it but captures your attention making it hard to put down. The characters are well thought and likeable and the whole story is lovely!

Warning this book will make you want to eat pudding!
This book focuses on Rachel and her family and their family farm. In the times where looking after your land and your animals is not enough, Rachel needs to come up with a way to keep the farm afloat. Puddings may be the answer. With the help of her mother and her friends can it work? Throw into the mix being a single mum to a five year old with an absent father and hot farmer next door this makes for a great read. The characters are lovable especially little maisy and I was keen to keep reading to see how they got on. A sequel would be wonderful as I feel these characters have another story to tell.
Thanks to Caroline Roberts, Netgalley and Harper Impulse for the advanced copy.

Quite a sweet story but not enough to keep me interested. I would have enjoyed it more if the relationships had been explored in more depth and it was all wrapped up a little too neatly.
