Thanks to Netgalley for an advanced look at Joshilyn Jackson’s latest. I didn’t realize this was only a snippet of the book, but I’m now very excited for the full book!

If just the first chapter of the book is so good, I can't imagine how the rest of the book will be. I'm a sucker for psychological thrillers and this one seems to be right up my alley! Definitely on my to-read list!
Thank you Netgalley, Joshilyn Jackson for this extract!

Wow! Just read an excerpt from Never Have I Ever and cannot wait to read the book!
What happens when you introduce a new member to your book club? You know that woman
who comes in and immediately takes over with her own agenda. Add a few too many glasses
of wine and the secrets start to come out.

Thank you to Raven Books and NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Being relatively new to NetGalley when I requested (and received) this ARC, I didn't realize this was an extract - a mere 30 pages of the book to come. Right from the start, the well-crafted writing pulled me in and I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. And then the extract ended and left me hanging - I NEED MORE! I need to know what happens, and how this develops!

Joshilyn Jackson never disappoints, and Never Have I Ever looks to be no exception. When Roux takes over a neighborhood moms’ book club meeting one night, moms whose lives have been a steady diet of play groups, nap times & potty training suddenly are jerked wide awake. Roux teases out damaging secrets, mostly aimed at narrator Amy, who instantly realizes that Roux has arrived with big ulterior motives.

This excerpt has me wanting more, and no doubt that this latest Jackson novel will shine bright like the others.

This review is for the EXTRACT only of Never Have I Ever by Joshilyn Jackson and OH BOY I wish it was the entire book. This was such a great sneak peak at what I can only describe as whats going to be this summers hottest psychological suspense novel.

Great mysterious characters, and a plot that I think is going to play out deliciously! Looking forward to reading the rest of the book SOON!

I had no idea that this was just a short excerpt from a full book when I read it, so I was disappointed when I figured that out, and I have yet to get permission to read the entire book, so giving a rating is not easy and doesn’t make sense to me.

If I’m rating the story, that difficult as well after one short chapter, but that’s all I have to go on.
This was a disappointing experience.

Oh you tease, Raven Books! Gimme more (please!!). I loved this short and sharp extract. I read with a feeling of dread in the pit of my stomach. What does Roux know? What secret is Amy hiding? Will book club ever be the same again?? I think not!! Can't wait to read more of NEVER HAVE I EVER - I just hope it's soon!

As this is an excerpt, it’s hard to judge the book from just so few pages. Taking this into consideration, I feel curious about what happens next and how the story could progress from here. Books involving suburban moms are particularly interesting and I am certainly reminded of Big Little Lies and The Rumour. I can’t wait for the pub date.

This premise sounds interesting and I cannot wait to read the rest. everyone seems to have secrets and it's hard to know who to trust. A good start to an interesting book.

This is just an excerpt of the book. After reading this small portion I definitely look forward to reading it in its entirety.

This is an excerpt of a book that I am really anticipating this summer. A great whetting if the palette for a book that I believe is going to be the suspense novel of the summer!

Intriguing, sinister start to this one with a good introduction to the characters.

Roux is like a magpie, a new interloper to the book group, causing problems! There are obviously a few big reveals ahead and she seems to know things about the others, especially Amy! All rather ominous.

The sample is the first chapter and I'm keen to find out more!

This was just a sample that I read of 30 pages but I want more!!! I guess the lesson is do not read the samples because then you will want to read the book. The writing style I enjoyed it and it was easy to read and the characters seemed like with more story line they would come into their own. I am interested in pursing this read!

Mothers should be sensible, passed the days of drunken party games. But these mothers meeting in a regular book club have invited a visiting stranger in to the group one evening who takes over in an oh so enticing way. Inviting trouble, encouraging secret sharing, making invisible women feel special again. And she knows a secret about the host...

An intriguing start to the novel in this extract from the book given to me by Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for my thoughts. It has dragged me in and I look forward to reading the rest once it’s released.

I can't wait to read the full version of Never Have I Ever! I have read all of Joshilyn Jackson's books she is one of my favourite authors! This one seems to be a change of genre, they all have a suspenseful element, a slowly revealed surprise, but this one seems more of a thriller and I love this new direction. Secrets and lies are yet to be revealed but I can already feel the menace laced with her trademark humour. I always laugh out loud while reading a Joshilyn Jackson novel. I can not wait to read the full length edition of Never Have I Ever!
