I personally found the book very good, a compelling and at the same time very emotional story from beginning to end. The characters for me very credible and the description of the environment very accurate.

Imagine your child disappears, everyone is looking for him and you have to live with the uncertainty. Then he reappears, but refuses to talk to you or anyone. When will his abductors return? This uncertainty makes for a gripping read and a good solid read.

I was excited about this book and the synopsis sounds great, but unfortunately it fell a bit flat for me.

I found the start engaging and thrilling and it definitely itself made me want to read on and find out what happens, but the ending was just not as exciting as I imagined it would be.

An exciting, tense thriller. I enjoyed this story and found(!) the book difficult to put down. Interesting plot, with plenty of mystery and suspense, and well rounded characters.

Found by Erin Kinsley is a book about child abduction, but this story looks into the police procedures and family's side of the story too.

How many times have we said ‘what if’ or ‘if only’? Chapter 1 opens with such but in this case, the what ifs? have devastating consequences. By the end of the first chapter a young boy is missing - disappeared from the bus stop where he was last seen, the remains of a can of pop he was drinking, the only evidence that he was ever there at all. Now I’m hooked. We know that the boy will be found, the title gives that away , so no spoilers. For me this made for a refreshing change. What I hadn’t thought about was what happened next: not entirely a happy ever after ending. The book deals with the aftermath for the parents, grandparents and best friend as well as the boy: they are all victims and life will never be the same for any of them.

A very well crafted story with great characterisation. It was fascinating to have a plot based on what happens after a missing child returns home. Il definitely look out for more from the author in the future!

With thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for the book, which I have enjoyed reading.
Found by Erin Kinsley is an excellent crafted story, the characters are strong and resilient, the storyline is interesting and a fascinating read. When Evan is kidnapped it seems like the end of the world for his parents and grandparents, but when Evan is found it is a different child that is returned to his family. This is an interesting story of how the police eventually solved and caught the men responsible for Evan’s kidnapping and other children’s and how Evan eventually moves forward in his life.
Highly recommended

This book is interesting, but not exactly the thriller I had hoped for. I put it down a few times and I did look forward to going back to it, but usually I cannot but a book down.
I enjoy when the perspective changes throughout the story, but it is usually accompanied by some sort of heading or chapter change that indicates the switch. Here, I sometimes had to reread a few lines because I didn’t realize it had changed so suddenly.

Thank you to Netgalley for the preview of this book. It is a book which will take you on a emotional rollercoaster. Your heart will break for Evan and his family. Once you start the book you'll find it hard to put down and the story will stay with you for long after you read it.

I did enjoy the relationship between the child and the grandparents. That relationship is such an understanding and accepting one with unconditional love.
I was expecting more thrill to the finding of the kidnappers, however, the police were very lax with this investigation.
Later, after thinking of the story for awhile, I came to realize that is was a story more of the love and healing that can be gained through the family relationships. The author shows that assumptions can lead us down the wrong road. We must trust our instincts and each other.
Though the book wasn't what I was expecting, it was not an unenjoyable read, just not something that I would recommend as a first choice.

Found. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this novel. It kept my interest throughout. It is a page turner. Many thrillers I have read, are bogged down with so much unbridled verbiage. This long-windedness only leads me to skim and skip. No skipping nor skimming needed here. The characters are so very likable and believable and the story line relevant. This is a book I would recommend highly. Erin Kinsley is an author I will keep on my radar. Thank you Netgalley and Headline Publishing Group for the opportunity to read and review this ARC.

I really liked both the story and the characters, but thought the book itself was boring. It starts off with 11-year-old Evan being kidnapped and you get to know his family as they suffer through months of not knowing where he was. Partway through the book he is found, and the rest of the book focuses on the investigation to find out who took him as well as his gradual re-entry into the real world.

The police investigation almost takes a back seat to the family dynamic in this one- I would have expected a little more focus on that piece; I also think they could have solved the crime a lot sooner. When it was solved, it wasn't really a climactic moment, more a slow burn up to what the reader had gleaned all along.

The characters were well-developed and I could empathize with all of them.. Jack was my favorite character and I felt that Evan was extremely lucky to have him in his life, especially during the traumatic times.

All in all, this is much more of a domestic story with a little bit of suspense than it is a police procedural. If that's what you are looking for, you'll love it. The characters are likeable and believable.

Thanks to Netgalley for providing me a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

How often have we said 'imagine a scenario where' or 'assuming as it were. Section 1 opens with such however right now, what uncertainties? have decimating outcomes. Before the finish of the main section a little fellow is missing - vanished from the bus station where he was most recently seen, the remaining parts of a jar of pop he was drinking, the main proof that he was there by any means. Presently I'm snared. We realize that the kid will be discovered, the title parts with that , so no spoilers. For me this made for an invigorating change. What I hadn't thought about was what occurred straightaway: not so much a cheerful ever subsequent to closure. The book manages the repercussions for the guardians, grandparents and closest companion just as the kid: they are for the most part casualties and life will never be the equivalent for any of them. I don't review a book addressing this perspective previously. The bond between the kid and his granddad is perfectly composed, the police examination all around explored and the consideration of a kids' TV program, extremely smart. I adored this book, a page turner which was so engrossing, took me under 2 days to peruse. Anticipating perusing more from Erin Kinsley. Energetically suggested!

I was lured in by the description of this book, but found it to be very unsatisfying. I felt like there was something missing; it was not nearly as exciting as I was hoping it would be and I found the arrangement of the story to be quite confusing at times,

There are a glut of thrillers on the market at present that deal with emotive topic of child-abduction. 'Found' is undoubtedly one of the best. Erin Kinsley has written about this subject with unparalleled emotional intelligence and probing mental acuity. It is an absorbing read that will keep you flicking the pages of your kindle well into the night. We follow the story of a young boy, 11 year old Evan, who is abducted on his way home from football practice. After months Evan is found, but it should go without saying that he is much changed. Emotionally traumatised to the point where he is unable to assist with the search for his abductor, the police are stymied. As well as richly conveying the psychological and emotional impact of child abduction on those intimately concerned, Kinsley has written a compelling and urgent whodunnit that truly sets the pulse racing and the heart pounding. This is a story of many layers; intelligently written, with crisp, pitch-perfect prose, and an expertly executed narrative. that hooks the reader from the get-go. Erin Kinsley is a master of her craft, with this book an apt exemplar of her prodigious talent.

Gripping stuff.

Right from the start I was gripped with this book and didn’t want to put it down. I found myself totally invested in the case within the story and couldn’t wait read the conclusion. I would definitely recommend this book.

4-5 stars! Fast paced start, a bit slow in middle and end which is why I give the 4-5 instead of a full 5, but overall a great read! I think it was well written, character development was great making it easy to need to know the answers, and original & realistic! I thought that the beginning really made me need to read this, even though mid I started slugging a bit, but because I saw how great the start was it was necessary to finish and I was glad I did! I recommend to those looking for some thrills, chills, and shocks.
Will make sure I buzz it up on all the different platforms!

Thank you NetGalley for this advanced copy. I was so excited to read this based on the description, cover, and reviews. I did not like this book at all. It did not hold my interest. It wasn't long before I started skimming, then went right to the back, and didn't even finish it. Major letdown to me from what everyone else wrote.
