What a lovely book, lovely story staying true to PS I Love you. Characters were great and true to first book a well.
Full of emotion, really helps you to heal after loss, and helps with seeing things in life to carry on

Although I'm not sure anything could ever quite capture the magic of PS. I Love You, this was a worthy sequel and I still enjoyed reading it very much.

In Postscript, we rejoin Holly 7 years after Gerry's death (and therefore 6 years after she has read the last letter from him). Although she, of course, still misses Gerry very much, she has come to cope with her grief a little more in this time, and now wants to help others learn how to do the same.

There were some very heart touching moments in this, but for me it lacked the overall emotional intensity of the first book. I also felt like some of the characters were less believable than those in the previous. However, it was nice to revisit Holly, and I found some of the conclusions that were reached by the end of the book to be very satisfying. Worth a read if you're a fan of Cecelia Ahern generally.

Oh wow what a great sequel Postscript was to PS I Love You. It was perfect. I did not want it to come to end end but this book I could not put down and it’s my top book I’ve read this year. I laughed and cried my way through it. Another great book by Cecelia.

16 years after "P.S. I love you" I would have never expected a sequel to the book I liked very much. But here it is! Wow!

I was not sure if it's wise for Cecilia Ahern to revisit this story and its characters, if she could match the quality of the first book. I still wasn't sure after reading the first 50 pages. But as soon as Holly hooks up with the club, I was lost in this beautiful story!

In the novel only 7 years have gone by since Gerald has died. Holly has moved on and even found a new partner. But she is also still mourning her loss and the life she couldn't live. The book really feels like a postscript, with scenes featuring Holly & Gerry, with more letters, and with a club of terminally ill people who want to leave their families similar letters and seek Holly's advice and actual help with writing them. But is she strong enough to face the past and all the pain again?

I especially liked how Holly is re-evaluating the letters she once received, how she realizes - by meeting the club members - that they have not only meaning for herself but also for Gerry while planning and writing them. I liked the flashbacks into the past of Holly and Gerry, but I also liked the stories of all the new people we meet and their tailormade "Goodbyes".

Towards the end the book got quite emotional and even heart-breaking. And still it manages to give hope, which is quite amazing. I love it!

I liked it, but not as much as the original. I would’ve enjoyed it more if I had just reread PS I love you instead, while I fear that if I read the first book again now this sequel would spoil it for me a little- I didn’t like the rewriting of history with regards to Gerry. At times Postscript was genuinely moving, but there were points where I felt it was being emotionally manipulative. It probably takes a more mature view than the original and this might appeal to other readers, but this wasn’t what I was expecting or looking for.

So this is the long awaited sequel to Cecelia Ahern's novel 'PS I love you'. It continues with the life of Holly, now seven years have passed since she lost her husband - six since she read his last letter. We find Holly now working for her sister in a second hand shop and contemplating moving in with a new partner, when her sister asks her to take part in her podcast on dealing with 'grief'. Once broadcast, the podcast touches people in more ways than Holly could have imagined, when a group of people with life threatening illnesses, upon hearing this, create the 'PS I Love you' group. At first Holly finds this hard to deal with, almost an insult to her late husband. But, as she gets to know these people she realises it is about each of them coming to terms with the fact their life will shortly be ending and thinking about how this will leave their loved ones afterwards. It is extremely emotional at times, as there are parts we can all relate to and don't want to think of such events with our loved ones. However, we see Holly go on her own journey with these people, which also supports her in reflecting upon and making decisions regarding the way her life must now move on. It is well written and much thought has been given by Ahern in her writing, being so sensitive but also astute to the behaviours of human nature. Whilst it is a topic that you find yourself hoping that you never find yourself faced with, it also makes you want to give your loved ones that extra big hug at the end of the day. My thanks go out to Harper Collins UK and netgalley for allowing me to read and review an ARC of this.

Utterly, utterly brilliant!! I loved being able to dive back into Hollys life and find out what became of her. I found myself in tears and smiling at the same time. Fabulous read, just make sure you have a box of tissues handy!! Definitely worthy of 5 stars!

Thank you Netgalley for a copy of this book to review.

Cecelia Ahern's books are very, very good at getting the human spirit right and the right dollop of humour chucked in. She has done this with this book. However, it just did not have the same magic as the first book P.S I Love You for me. It was very lovely but a little repetitive at times and the new characters were a bit unbelievable. Worth a read on a quiet Sunday but I wouldn't rush out to buy.

I absolutely loved PS I love you so anything following that up would have to be amazing. It's a hard act to follow!

Postscript is set 7 years after Gerry's death. Holly has a new man, a job and is getting on with her life as best she can. That is until her sister asked her to do a blog with her about the letters Gerry left. What follows for Holly after that is just the most wonderful, generous beautiful story that has left me in floods of tears.

Thank you Cecelia Ahern for letting us know how Holly is getting along and creating a wonderful book. The characters stories will stay with me for a long time.

So excited to see a sequel to P.S. I love you and even more excited to receive a copy to read. Cecelia immediately draws the reader right back into Holly’s world and how she has changed and moved on, since the last time we saw her. She is still the same Holly we previously loved and we still feel her grief, especially when it resurfaces with the creation of the P.S I love you club. Should she get involved, or run a mile? She should run a mile, but of course she gets involved, re-living memories of her and Gerry along the way.
It is a delightful book but be warned, a real tearjerker. It is impossible not to feel for the characters and get drawn into their lives. Read and enjoy, but keep a tissue handy. Thank you #netgalley and Harper Collins for the chance this book. I was more than happy to slot back into Holly’s life, if only for a short while.

It's been seven years since Holly's husband Gerry died. Holly was practically forced by her sister Ciara to tell her story via a podcast, and that was how it all started...

Unknowingly, Holly had started something, and her followers wanted her to help them on their journey. She reluctantly agreed but soon found she couldn't tear herself away.

Holly's now in a relationship with a new man, so there are troubles there as it interferes with her newfound "hobby". Eventually though, good came out of it, and we do get a HEA ending here.

I was actually hoping to get a glimpse of Daniel from the 1st book, but I guess he wasn't significant enough to be mentioned here. Also, this book was written entirely from first person, as opposed to third person like the previous book. That's why I felt a different tone to this story than the last...

Cecelia Ahern has written yet another tear jerker. This follow up to P.S. I Love You runs smoothly from one book into the next even though six years have passed in Holly Kennedy’s life, seven since the loss of her husband Gerry.

This is a truly beautiful but heartbreaking book and I sobbed my way through it. I’m close to crying now just writing about it. I think this book will stay with me for a very long time. In death there is love and this book portrayed that like nothing I’ve read before.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for the ARC in return for an honest and unbiased opinion.

So I'm going to edit now I've read the whole book and what can I say but wow! Cecelia Ahern really reeled me right back into this heartbreaking story. Moving on from the podcast that Holly took part in she finds that her life suddenly takes a peculiar twist. Strangers are following her and asking for help and she has no idea why Gerry's letters have had such an impact on perfect strangers.

Holly finds that it is more the emotion of being reeled back into the memories and past that makes her decision to help the 'PS I love you club' all the more angonising and then there is also the impact that it will have on her new relationship with Gabriel.

Parts of this book were truly heartbreaking and I cannot even begin to put into words how emotive Cecelia Ahern's writing truly is. This is going to be another bestseller!

I just can’t...too many emotions. Not an original idea but oh so beautifully written. Thank you. Brings to mind loved ones of those gone and those who are still fighting but also those who have come through it and are on the other side. You’d have to have no heart not to be affected by this one.

This sequel to PS I Love You is superb. Set a few years after Gerry's death Holly becomes involved with a group of terminally ill patients who want to know how to leave letters for their loved ones as Gerry did for Holly. Holly gets truly overwhelmed with her involvement and begins to re-evaluate hr life.
The characters are memorable and amazing, this story will make you laugh and cry.
There is so much I could say, all gratifying but I do not want to give any spoilers for the reader.

Buy it! You'll love it!

It was lovely meeting Holly again and seeing where life has taken her seven years after the death of her husband Gerry. Holly has a new relationship with Gabriel and is finally getting her life together and moving on. Her sister is involved in her vintage clothes shop doing podcasts and wants to do one about grief and she's asked Holly to speak about her experience.
Holly is quite reluctant but does want to help her sister so she does the podcast in front of a small group of people not realising how many other people will hear it when it goes live.
When Holly is asked to be part of the P.S. I Love You Club for the terminally ill she doesn't want anything to do with it. They want her to help write letters to leave behind just as Gerry had done for Holly. Old wounds are laid bare once again and it's also causing problems between her and Gabriel. What should Holly do? Turn her back on them and get on with her life or risk her state of mind returning to where it was seven years ago with helping them?
What a truly lovely story. Holly is an exceptional person. She shows great empathy even if it means her going through painful episodes. I enjoyed this story so much but telling more about it would spoil it for you.
Good to meet up again with Holly's sister and her friends and the new characters in the booked added so much to the story.
You will cry.

Thank you to HarperCollins UK who sent me this copy through Netgalley.
I was excited but a bit dubious to read this. I was worried it wouldn’t live up to the first book or just reflect back on the last book. How I was wrong! Ahern does it again! I love the story and the the concept of how she starts the PS I Love you Club. It’s almost like she is mourning the last 7 years of herself and becomes yet another version of herself. I loved the little memories she had of Gerry that weren’t shown in the last book. The ending didn’t feel too rushed, as some books can feel like the author is trying to sum it all up in the last chapter of the book. This was a well thought out story and I am so glad she got Holly and Gabriel back together in the end.

This was like revisiting an old friend. PS I love you was a must read, and this new novel follows on. It is lovely to follow Holly on her next journey. Touching and beautifully written.
My thanks to Net Galley, the publisher and the author for allowing me to read an advance copy in exchange for an honest review.

A long awaited return to the life of Holly, 7 years after the PS I love you letters from her husband led her through her immediate grief and into the rest of her life.
I loved PS I love you and the sequel did not disappoint at all. Written as sensitively as the first, Postscript brings Holly back to the letters left for her by her husband when a group of terminally ill people contact her for help having found out about her letters and wanting to do the same for their loved ones.
Each of the original group have their own story, background, illness, struggle and ideas and each are beautifully portrayed within the story.
As Holly is lured into helping them she jeopardises her own new relationship and gets very involved with the original group but through the process finds healing and peace for herself as well as helping them.
With moments of great tear-inducing potential and a compelling story line to follow this is perhaps one for a quiet day where you can blub to your hearts content and finish the book in one sitting!
