This had everything I love in a romance book! Great characters, good dialogue and of course royalty! Couldn’t put this down! Would recommend to fans of Sophie Kinsella and Helen Hoang.

This book was so cute! I love it when the characters evolve so much in the story that you go from not liking them to loving them by the end!

Arc provided by NetGalley. Light, fun romantic read. Nick is a rich, royal who is use to getting what he wants, khara is a las Vegas bartender that lives in a trailer. She points this out more than once. She is working her way thru college. She has run into more than her share of rich, entitled men who are use to getting what they want. She waitresses for nick one night and he propositions her. A year later, she is a bridesmaid at her best friends royal wedding. Her friend who was also a waitress is marrying her own prince. It’s a little far fetched that two Las Vegas waitresses find their own princes to marry but if you can look passed that part this is a fun, hot romance book. There is humor and romance and sex scenes. Everything to make your heart happy. Though predictable I still
Enjoyed reading it and would recommend it if my friend wanted a light hearted, fun romance book.

I love a royal romance and I must say I enjoyed this one. To begin with I didn't really like Khara and Adam but as the story progressed I found myself liking them more and more.
Nothing new or original but a good royal romance done well!

My Best Friend’s Royal Wedding is a sweet and enjoyable romance.
Khara is jaded when it comes to flashy arrogant wealthy men. She wants nothing to do with them but when she goes to Europe for her best friend’s wedding she cannot deny her attraction to the best man who exemplifies everything she avoids in a man. Khara and Adam both came into the story with misconceptions but I loved the growth of both characters in this story. The plot moved along quickly and its the type of book that is perfect for a light and fun read!
I was given a free copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

This was a super cute romcom between a maid of honor and the best man. While strong and independent, Khara does a bit have a bit of an outdated and backwards attitude during much of the book. While playboy Adam has to learn to grow up and make adult decisions, they learn to grow together...or not.

This was a cute premise and had some fun banter and romantic moments, but I had trouble connecting with the characters and never became too invested in their story as a result. I didn't realize it was a spin-off of another series, so perhaps I would've enjoyed it more had I been familiar with some of the characters or their world. Overall, not the best version of the royal romance tropes I love.

2 stars
I could not connect with this book, like at all. And I love royal romance books. I have real a LOT of them! This one missed the mark for me. I struggled with it from page one.

My Best Friend’s Royal Wedding by Romy Sommer.
Khara works as a cocktail waitress in Vegas and her best friend is marrying European head of state and she is the bridesmaid. Adam the best man on first appearance looks to be arrogant privileged and very wealthy. Khara feels very much out of her depth in such a wealthy class orientated environment which is very different from her everyday life.
The trials and tribulations between Khara & Adam on the preparations on social side on the run up to a royal wedding and the relationship between are very humorous and the twists and turns make for a very good read in this Romcom novel. They are Very enjoyable and made you want to continue reading to find out what was going to happen to them both next.
Well written lots of interesting turns not always as you would expect

Thank you for allowing me to preview this title. Unfortunately I was unable to finish it. I just could not connect with the characters. I detested Adam and wasn't particularly fond of Khara either. Just not my cup of tea. But thank you!

Khara is invited to her best friend's wedding. In Europe. She must go because she is the bridesmaid. And of course, the Best Man is, gorgeous. And rich. And sexy as hell.
But she has met him before. He doesn't even remember that night. But he tried to spend the night with her one year ago. In Las Vegas. In the casino where Khara works.
So, saying that Khara is not very happy to see Jim is the understatement of the year.
Both their lives are going to get complicated during a month. Khara is living a fairy tale. And Adam has to face the most important decision in his life.
I liked the story. The banter between the characters is brilliant. And even though I haven't read the previous books, I didn't feel lost in any moment.

The book was alright. I struggled to connect with Khara and Adam though and so wasn’t completely invested in their story.. Worth a look if you like light, fluffy romance.

This book was a mess. to be honest I think this just suffered from a case of me putting too much pressure on it because I love royalty books but it ended up flopping which was unfortunate.

If you are looking for a cheesy, cute, fairy tale romance with palaces and castles, you should go for this one. For fans of Princess diaries, its' a definite yes. Khara, a waitress is the bridesmaid at a royal wedding and falls for the best man, Adam who also happens to be prince. They have an amazing chemistry right from the beginning but obviously as per the genre, they don't either communicate or realize until the end. It certainly follows the fairy tale romantic story plot-lines and doesn't throw any surprises but still for romance readers ,it is a fun read!
I am now interested in reading the author's other books as this book clearly indicated the plot of other characters and Max/Phoenix story seems to be really intriguing.
Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for an advance copy of the book in exchange for my honest review.

I generally read romance novels to escape reality “for a brief moment in time”. Although this book has an interesting plot and descriptive writing, I found it boring and slow. The transition between some chapters is confusing. I did not feel a strong chemistry between Adam and Khara especially at the end. Adam is weak and Khara is insecure and she placed too much emphasis on her so called “trailer trash” background.

This was exactly was I was looking for, and I really liked it!
Cheesy? Maybe... but it was, also a very nice entertaining and feel good story.
It was such a cute and captivating fairy tale romance, and far from the typical predictable Cinderella royal books. It might not be all that original, but that was not really what I wanted from this kind of story anyway.
Bottom line, I enjoyed the heck out of it.
It takes place in Romy Sommer's Westerwald trilogy, but can very easily be read as a standalone.

Khara Thomas is a cocktail waitress in Vegas from the wrong side of the tracks. She gets the chance of a lifetime to experience how the other half lives serving as maid of honor in her best friend's wedding to a European Archduke. The best man, notorious royal playboy Adam Hatton, offers to help her learn the ropes of royal protocol after one too many embarrassing moments for Khara. In a modern Pygmalion + Cinderella story, Khara has a hard time denying her growing attraction as she realizes there might be more to Adam than meets the eye.
A quick note, this book is a spinoff of another series by Romy Sommer, and I wish that had been made more clear. As I was reading, I felt like a lot of characters were just casually mentioned like I should have known who they were. It wasn't until after I finished that I found out they were the main characters in her other series.
Khara is not a very relatable or sympathetic character, and I felt like her huge "I'm poor, I'm trailer trash, I don't belong here" chip on her shoulder was really annoying. She wasn't really an endearing, awkward, "oops I'm too American to understand royal protocols;" rather, she was just super rude and almost snobby. Like, acting like she was better than the royals because she actually *worked*.
Adam was fine, and he actually had the more interesting character development. So while Khara acts like he is playboy Eurotrash, I found myself more drawn to his journey and growing maturity. It was an awkward disagreement between me and Khara for like half the book.
The story itself is predictable, but cute, and has the feelings of a grown up Princess Diaries. It had way more steam than I was expecting, but that's what we get nowadays with these cute cartoonish covers - it might be a sweet Sophie Kinsella story or it might be a steamy Helen Hoang lol. It didn't really add anything to the plot, but since the chemistry between Khara and Adam was rather unbelievable I think it was a cheap device to force you to see their relationship.
I'm giving this book 3 stars because I did really find Adam to be an interesting character and the story was cute and fun.

My Best Friend’s Royal Wedding, Romy Sommer
Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews
Genre: General fiction (Adult), Romance
I've enjoyed several of Romy's novels, and read some of the Westerwald series, and this is a spin off off those. You don't need to have read them, but it will add a bit more understanding if you have, and it was good to see those characters again. For me that was the best part of the story.
This time I just didn't like either of the main characters. I need to like at least one of them, and before I've felt real empathy with Romy's folk, but Adam was a rich, entitled, playboy stereotype, and Khara had a total chip on her shoulder about her position in life and was verging on rude at times.
The description pretty much tells it all, I started to skim read as I was bored by the two of them constantly sniping at each other. Neither really gave the other a chance, and then suddenly there they were in love. Lust I could understand, but anything more – well, as I still felt they each had no real respect for the others position it was a bit hard to take.
Sadly this one was a miss for me :-( but hopefully just a blip, and of course others love it. Horses for courses, we all like different things
Stars: Two, I was surprised not to enjoy this but just couldn't relate to the main characters.

My Best Friend’s Royal Wedding is a perfect reading selection for those who love a fantasy about marrying into a royal family. In this selection, we are taken on a journey of two best friends as they navigate their own separate experiences with the prince of their dreams.
Khara has lived a hard life, growing up poor and works in a casino as she puts herself through college. Tired of wealthy, arrogant men who think they can have whoever and whatever they want, she has sworn them all off. Especially the wealthy ones. For now, she is focused on her extended trip to Europe for the royal wedding of her best friend, Phoenix, to Max, the crown prince of Westerberg. Her bridesmaid duties find her spending most of her time with the handsome and maddening, Adam, and it’s not the first time their paths have crossed.
Adam has just lost his cousin, Nick, and now has a big decision to make. Should he accept the offer to be the crown prince of Erdeley, knowing he does not do commitments? He would prefer to live his playboy life, not thinking about anyone else. That way, nothing hurts. In the meantime, Adam avoids life in general by teaching Khara royal etiquette and prepping her for the upcoming nuptials that will be on the worldwide stage.
As the sparring between Khara and Adam moves from contentious to more, ‘Royal Wedding’ takes you inside the castle walls for a sneak peek at what it’s like to prepare and conduct a royal wedding. It also will take you on a journey with two flawed people who each have their reasons for why they should never be together.
I highly recommend this book if you enjoy romance and royalty.
Note: I was provided a free copy of this book for my honest opinions. My opinions are all my own and I have not been paid for this post.

This was just the type of book I was in the mood for. It was light, sweet and funny. While it was a bit predictable, the characters were likable and the story kept my interest and kept me smiling. And like any good book like this, it had a nice HEA. This was a quick read that left me smiling.
